When she said she would be gone for the summer, just three short months, Wade actually thought it would be okay, that he could survive that long without Zoe being around.
Then three months became four, and an email that said she had changed her mind, making her move back to New York more permanent.
That was when his aching heart started to fracture all over again; he realised he had really lost her for good this time.
