Susan enter inside Lucas’s hospital room and she introduce herself softly.
«How do you feel Lucas? What is your level of pain?» Ask Susan gently.
«Okay and I doesn’t feel anything», answered Lucas through the oxygen mask.
«Good! The pain meds you receive are working well», said Susan.
Lucas just nods his head in understanding.
«No one gonna hurt you anymore, you are safe here at the hospital and you are under my protection», promises Susan gently.
Lucas relax himself and he feel really safe with this kind doctor.
«Do you want a glass of ice cubes?» Ask Susan kindly.
Lucas nods his head positively.
«I get this for you», said Susan.
«Thank you», whispered Lucas.
Susan smile tenderly at the young boy.
Lucas closed his eyes and he really like this doctor because she make him feel safe and care.
Susan come back a few minutes later with a glass of ice cube.
«Take your time and you are under my protection», add Susan with a reassuring voice.
«Really?» Ask Lucas with hope.
«Of course baby boy, your mother is in prison for a very long time and she is never gonna be able to regain her parental rights over you», answered Susan softly.
Lucas begin to cry of relief.
«Let it go of that Lucas, you are gonna feel much better after that», promises Susan with her very gentle voice.
Lucas sobbed hard as Susan hold his little hand tenderly.
Susan let Lucas cry as she know how much he need this.
The medical team was horrified by all the injuries Lucas’s biological mother have inflicted on her son.
For the moment Nikki and Jason are keep away from Lucas because they are not his parents.
The social worker work to find the most wonderful and loving adoptive family for Lucas.
Lucas have suffer enough as it was and the whole team now want for him to live a peaceful life surround by love, care.
Susan watch over Lucas tenderly and she told him that she was staying with him so he wouldn't be alone.
Lucas fall asleep an hour later after he cry all the tears he have inside his body.
Susan cover him with the warm and soft blankets and she replace very gently the oxygen mask on Lucas.
She reduce the lights to let him sleep peacefully.
After that, she write notes inside Lucas’s medical file.
Susan really hope that the social worker find the best adoptive family for this brave young boy.
Lucas is really brave, courageous and strong despite all the trials he have suffer in his young life.
She is proud to be his doctor and she is promises herself to be there for Lucas as long as he gonna need her.
