Summary
The Rumbling is over. Suyin Zhou follows her father, along with the remaining world leaders, to Paradis islands to begin a long series of negotiations for peace. During her time on the island, she meets Paradis' grumpiest hero, and together, they traverse what it means to be human, and how to make the most of a meaningless existence.
But the fighting isn't over yet. As a new threat broaches the horizon, Humanity faces the loss of its freedom once again. Staying alive through the conflict is an insurmountable task alone... but not allowing the conflict to change you is impossible. If they make it out, they won't be the same people they once were; irrevocably changed.
Why do we keep fighting? What defines humanity? What does it mean to be free?
