Chapter Text

Cory groaned as he stepped off the bus. What a day. He’d just survived his second round of college exams, and while he felt okay about the results, he was exhausted. It was a good thing he could take public transit home, cause otherwise he’d be screwed. He was awake enough to buy a ticket and clamber onto a train, but far too asleep to safely operate a car.

He scanned his ticket, and passed through the fare gate. After clambering up the stairs to the platform, he wandered for a second before finding a satisfactory bench to sit on. As he was about to sit down; however, he saw the light reflecting off something. There was a golden bracelet, lying abandoned in the spot he had chosen to sit in.

He picked up the golden bracelet, examining it closely. As he ran his fingers across it, it was perfectly smooth, without the grainy imperfections one typically finds in most metal objects.. Sure, jewelry was fancier by default, but it was still an interesting property.

Suddenly, as Cory was about to set the bracelet down, a voice in his head told him to pocket it. The voice was feminine, certainly not his own. He looked around, thinking perhaps that he was the subject of some sort of mean-spirited prank show or social experiment. Nothing. The only person on the platform was, quite oddly, himself. He popped the bracelet into his hoodie’s pocket, and thought nothing more of it as he awaited his train home.

He gave the conductor his ticket and boarded one of the coach cars, nearly falling over as he slumped into his chair. He was tired. So, so so tired. He closed his eyes, tempted to try and get some sleep. The train ride back home was nearly four hours, so it’s not like he was gonna miss his stop. He’d have to be insanely tired for that to happen. Besides, he’d need to be laying down to get a proper, nice, deep sleep. Best he would be able to manage here was a decent nap. As he was about to close his eyes, a thought started nagging him, telling him to put the bracelet he’d found on. He shrugged, and did so. What was the harm, after all? No one was going to ask anything about it. If he found the owner, it might be awkward, but he could just give it back. He slipped it on his hand, and shuddered a little as he felt a warm feeling rush through his body. He contemplated taking it off for a moment, then shrugged it off. His skin just wasn’t used to wearing this sort of thing. He knew unfamiliar materials often made skin behave oddly. He stared at the bracelet for a few more moments, and then slumped back into his chair.

He felt himself begin to drift away, his mind melting away as he surrendered to sleep. His body eased up as well, though he couldn’t deny he still felt a slight tingle. He’d get used to it eventually, maybe even by the end of the train ride. Eventually however, he fell asleep. As he did, the tingling spread through his entire body, leading a number of… interesting dreams. As for his body, it had begun undergoing a profound change, starting from the top. His hair began to grow, dropping past his shoulders and growing over his face. Then, his red hair began to become paler, hue shifting until it settled on a remarkable light pink tone, reminiscent of what one might achieve via conventional dyes. Next up, his face began to soften, features reshaping themself into a feminine visage. His glasses fell off his face as his nose changed, falling to the floor of the traincar. Next, the upper part of his body began to shrink, his tall, well-built body shrinking. His hips shrank with the rest of his body, getting smaller until eventually his waist overtook them, creating a pleasing shape to his lower torso. As for the upper torso, it too shrank, his shoulders narrowing as the process continued, causing his clothes to begin to slip off as they lost body mass to cling to. Once his torso had finished resizing itself, his chest began to expand outwards, his flat chest began to rise, growing and burgeoning outwards into a full, respectable pair of breasts. Still, due to his much reduced stature, they were invisible beneath his baggy, overlarge clothes. Finally, the changes reached his lower body. His genitalia rearranged itself, and his legs began to shorten, and thin out, maintaining a substantial length as they re-proportioned themselves to fit his new body. The changes crept over downwards, until finally, they were finished.

Just as this change had finished occurring, Cory awoke, yawning. He opened his eyes, and was taken off guard by being able to see. He couldn’t feel his glasses on his face, and yet the signage on the roof was clearly readable. Cory looked down at his hands, and gasped. He was alarmed, certainly, but confused more than that. Gone were his large, mildly callused fists. In their place, he found two small, dainty feminine hands, pristine and soft. He stretched slightly, and realized that his jacket was now so large on him that he had to bunch up the sleeves to even see his wrists. As he was assessing the state of his outfit, his hand brushed against his chest. He blushed as his hand brushed against newly sensitive flesh. Breasts. He had breasts. Both of his hands darted to his chest, exploring the new sensation of having a meaningful bust. Eventually, he ran to the bathroom to try and fully assess what was happening to him.

Cory yelped as he looked in the mirror. The 5 '10 bespectacled redhead who had stumbled onto the train was entirely gone. At least, physically. In his place now stood a short, purple haired woman whose clothes were several sizes too large. In fact, they were so large that her pants had now fallen off. Cory tried in vain to pull them back up, eventually giving up. He did have a belt somewhere in his bag, so he could make it work until he was home.

Suddenly, Cory’s attention was grabbed by something else. On his wrist there was… a… a second bracelet. At some point, a second bracelet had appeared on his other wrist.

“What the-” Cory muttered, his voice entirely alien to him. As with the rest of his body, the pendulum had swung towards the feminine and broken, leaving him stranded in an unfamiliar body. Ostensibly, it was his body, despite being irrevocably different from the one he’d gotten so used to.

His? His? His? Of course it was his, he was a guy, after all. Really? Was he? Suddenly, Cory’s brain was overtaken by a bizarre crisis. It was obviously his wrist… but if you looked at it, the smooth skin and dainty fingers were very clearly different from his own. It obviously couldn’t be his. Without a doubt it was her own wrist. Hers? His? Hers. Obviously. It had always been hers, why would that have changed? No, it had changed just now! His body hadn’t looked like this just a few hours ago! Well, that was all fine and good for him! But this wasn’t him, it was her! This was Sion’s body! Not his! Sion groaned as she shook off these bothersome, irritating thoughts. There was no ‘he’ here, not at the moment, at least. Only herself. Perhaps she ought to try and sleep soon, as this mental situation was extremely vexing and tiresome. She looked back up at the mirror. She looked like she always had. As for her clothes, they were her typical outfit, nothing crazy or bothersome about them. Really, what was wrong with her brain tonight? Whatever, she could sort herself out once she was home.

Sion stepped onto the platform, silently chiding herself for the lapse of memory and control, and began looking for a vantage point. After pacing the station for a few minutes, she climbed an escalator and found the upper platform elevated, and open, allowing her a perfect view. She quickly realized she was still in Misaki. Sion sighed as she leaned on the concourse balcony's railing. She already knew what needed to be done first. As soon as her body had recovered enough to push forward, she had to find Riesbyfe and Satsuki. That likely wouldn’t be hard, seeing as she had found herself sitting inside Misaki’s train station. The abandoned high-rise they’d holed up in was… approximately… well, she could just see it from here. No need to calculate the exact distance, as it was a walk she was familiar with. She double checked everything to confirm her course of action, and then set off to regroup with her girlfriends!
