Work Text:
Jeongin is startled by someone tapping his shoulder. He turns around to see Chan, blinking up at him with big eyes. He’s most definitely regressed.
“Hyung?” Chan asks softly. Jeongin coos internally at the cuteness.
“Oh! Hi, Channie!” Jeongin ruffles Chan’s curls, and Chan leans into the touch, closing his eyes for a moment. Then he remembers what he’s here for.
“Hyung!” Chan whines, dragging out the syllable. Jeongin’s gaze softens further.
“What’s wrong, sweetheart?”
“‘M hungry!” Chan pouts.
“Okay, big guy, let’s get you something to eat.” Jeongin holds out his hand for Chan to take, and Chan grabs it, leading the way towards the kitchen.
“Silly hyungie! I’m not big,” Chan giggles.
“My bad.” Jeongin smiles. “How old are you feeling right now?”
Chan contemplates for a moment, brows drawn together in concentration. He holds out his free hand in front of himself in a fist, raising the fingers one by one, counting along quietly.
“I’m foive!” Chan says, holding out his hand for Jeongin to see.
They arrive in the kitchen then.
“I’m surprised you didn’t go to Minho hyung, he’s a much better cook than I,” Jeongin admits.
“Channie want Innie! Hyung make the best dino nuggies!” The little exclaims excitedly. Jeongin smiles fondly.
“Dino nuggets coming up, just for you.”
“Hyungie the best!” Chan claps.
