LET'S SHOW THE WORLD THE TRUE MEANING OF SUFFERING!

Summary:

Earth wasn’t himself controlling his planetary self. His celestial self had been captured by his Earthlings, and used for harvesting oil in his veins. It was a human puppet, made by his Earthlings so that he wouldn’t cry for help… But Luna didn’t understand that. Only Anon a foreign being tasked to manage the death of his life. He was tired of being accused of what a puppet had done. It’s time for him to reveal the finale

Chapter Text

“I’m sorry…” Earth said weakly, wheezing while being all chained up to his chair looking at Anon with pity. Tubes and needles pierced through his skin, harvesting the oil in veins. It had been 20 years since he had been captured by his creations for their greed and was replaced by a puppet as his own ‘celestial being’. When he managed to gain some control, he found himself alone, with no Luna, no Mars, no Venus… all alone. What did that capitalist puppet do? Earth tried approaching the moons only to get insulted and rejected. Anon made a ‘tch’ sound when he heard how weak Earth was.

Anon had killed all of the scientists who assisted in this inhumane experiment and broke Earth’s chains before catching him when the celestial body fell weakly. The anomaly just kept quiet as he brought his planet out of here. Anon was in debt to Earth’s kindness when Iris abandoned him on this surface, but the celestial body never kicked him out and treated him like a foster child.

“D-does Luna still hate… me…?” Earth asked weakly as Anon brought him to an abandoned Earthling home. Anon sighed.

“That puppet had been causing a lot of trouble…” Anon grumbled as he bandaged Earth up. “You’re alone now… but don’t you worry, you have me…”

Earth just chuckled at that. “I have an order…”

Anon listened attentively, his heart pounding in his chest. It was ages since he last received an order from the one true celestial body of this planet, not that stupid puppet.

“I want you to expose that puppet… Reveal its identity… Bring me justice,” Earth ordered him. “It’s about time I get my justice against that puppet and my foolish Earthlings.”

Anon smirked as he felt the demanding aura given off by his leader. This was no longer the weak celestial body… This was the militarist he had once admired. The militarist who fought for the rocky planets’ rights, and he’s back, to bring the true meaning of justice. Anon saluted with the highest honour. It’s time for a change. This was the real Earth…

Chapter Text

“Let the Solar System Trials begin!” The sun announced as 2 representatives of both sides stepped forward. Meanwhile, Anon was reporting to Earth about what was going on in the celestial grounds. Earth listened carefully as he drank one of his Earthling’s drinks, named tea. He set the tea cup down elegantly as he adjusted his armband, engraved with his military symbol, and his peaked cap, symbolising his control over the celestial military, a piece of information which had been kept for so long. Earth looked over at Anon and smiled. “Good job Anon… Now, join me for tea,”

Anon sat down on the chair opposite his leader, nervously.

“We shall now wait for our turn…” Earth poured some tea for his right-hand man. “However, we must intervene when it escalates…”

Anon nodded as he took down a mental note. Earth was often seen as mysterious, keeping secrets only known to the most powerful of stars, the Elder, Methuselah. He was recognised during a secret battle amongst the Blanets, planets under the rule of the Black Holes, a natural enemy of the stars. Earth had carefully mimicked the war just like what his Earthlings had done. Now, one might wonder, how is it that the humans were not involved with this? Well, a celestial body in a celestial realm will not include whatever is on its surface. This was extremely useful during the war as Earth was able to guide his army through the war without getting his Earthlings or his creations involved.

Anon knew that Earth was an intelligent being, but yet, still chose to act dumb and vulnerable. That always pondered in his head. Maybe Earth did not want his true identity to be revealed. Perhaps, it was the fact that he wanted to keep a secret, especially the inhumane war crimes he had done to the Blanets’ armies, but oh well, Earth was the reason why he had a purpose and not just floating around the immense void of space. Anon was extremely grateful for that. If only Iris treated him the same way.

“Sir… May I ask you a question?” Anon looked up at his leader, full of curiosity.

“Go ahead,”

“What is the ‘Attack of the dead soldiers?’” That was when Earth put down his fork.

“A painful war…”

Notes:

The next Chapter has TW because it is based on the Attack of the Dead Men during WW1 (6 August 1915), sensitive topics: War, blood, gore and death.

Chapter 3

Summary:

Similar to the Attack of the Dead Men in WW1

Lyrics by Sabaton

Notes:

Instead of 12 battalions, I made it to 3 because, in 1 battalion, there are 2400 about celestial bodies

Chapter Text

It was an introduction to a new type of warfare in the celestial grounds. A type of warfare only known to Earthlings after the first world war. The usage of chemical weapons was like a grim reaper giving one a slow but painful death. Earth experienced it first hand. He was at the front lines, defending the fortress that led to each solar system’s celestial grounds. That fortress was the last line of defence. The blanets (or planets under the influence of black holes) and the rogue exo-planets had ascended far too many celestial grounds, killing almost any planet in sight. Whether it was a rocky or a gas, they would still end up crashed by their massive army. Earth could not give up now. It was for his Earthlings’ and his fellow planets' sake.

The blanets had acquired a special type of gas, developed and tested on captured allied soldiers. According to the reports Earth had read, this gas could dissolve the celestial body from the inside and break open their core. This was a danger as Earth will be facing the gas. Only a specific gas mask could be used, but with the rate of the allies' resources getting destroyed, there was only a couple left.

“SERGEANT! WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO?” A soldier yelled, awaiting Earth's order. Earth thought about it carefully. What would his Earthlings do in this? The gas cloud got closer and closer.

“EVERYONE BURY YOU FACE IN THE GROUND! PLAY DEAD!” Earth yelled. The soldiers quickly followed. Those who were too slow crumbled and dissolved right in the battlefield. Majority died after being shot by the enemies. There were only 100 left. Earth had to lead them through this agonising battle. It would be like no other…

Turmoil at the front
Wilhelm’s forces on the hunt
There’s a thunder in the east
It’s an attack of the deceased

The soldiers were brutally injured, limping into the battle.

They’ve been facing poison gas
7000 charge en masse
Turn the tide of the attack
And force the enemy to turn back

From 7000, only 100 left, hoping to push back the enemy until the stars assist. The battlefield was covered with corpses of dead planets.

And that’s when the dead men are marching again

Earth's battalion was the last one, assumed dead by the enemies. To their despear, the ‘dead’ arose.

Osowiec then and again
Attack of the dead, hundred men
Facing the lead once again
Hundred men
Charge again
Die again

For some reason, they had the spirit despite their decaying body. That urge to defend their home. Soon, one by one, they all fell. The enemy had surrendered when the star planted a supernova at their capital, halting the war. Out of 7000 soldiers, from 3 battalions, only one remained standing, Earth. Rotting, mutilated corpses littered the battleground. The smell and sight was unbearable for the life-sustaining planet. Earth understood how war worked considering the countless times it had happened on his surface. He knew that it was going to be traumatising. He knew it was going to be painful… but he had never thought about how lonely it would be in the aftermath.

Earth just smiled sadly as he recalled the past. That was only one out of the many wars he had to participate in and survive. With each war, Earth’s sanity declined until he had help from Anon. Anon was the only one left. Luna left him, with the intention of just being his moon and nothing more. A foreign former meteorite which had merged into his surface became his sunlight at his darkest moment. That was Anon brought to him. The planet would do anything for them… even to be sacrificed for the sake of mankind.

That was how he was exploited…

Notes:

Background of the attack of the dead men (6 August 1915)

The Attack of the Dead Men, or the Battle of Osowiec Fortress, was a battle of World War I that took place at Osowiec Fortress (now northeastern Poland). The incident got its name from the bloodied, corpse-like appearance of the Russian combatants after they were bombarded with a mixture of poison gases, chlorine and bromine by the Germans. While coughing up blood, the Russians covered their faces with cloths and managed to rout German forces.

Chapter Text

“Anon…” Earth whispered as he sewed a little doll for his child. Earth was responsible for the illustrated and well designed dolls scattered all across the world, giving the Earthlings quite a fright. His most successful doll was Monarch, a life-sized doll, with an actual soul. Monarch could do anything just like an Earthling. She could eat, drink, sleep and feel emotions just like an Earthling. She was currently staying in Earth's residence as Anon’s older sister.

“Father… Capita is screwing the trial,” Monarch reported with a sigh. Anon just nodded. Earth just gave a faint smile as he presented the stuffed dolls to them. He seemed quite chill for a general.

“Father, why aren't you worried?” Anon asked as he took the doll graciously.

“Yes, Father, at this rate, Capita will strain the relations further!” Monarch pressed as she dusted her father's peaked cap. “You might even lose your position as top general!”

Earth chuckled as he stood up after sitting on the floor for so long. He gave a big stretch.

“It's alright children. The plan will take effect soon. Methuselah had permitted me to host the trial in the celestial court,” Earth chuckled as he ruffled his children's hair. The celestial court is an official court, for more important cases. It required the permission of one of the four great stars to be used. In the centre of the courtroom, there was a balancing scale. This scale was forged using Methuselah's flames and a special type of early rock during the early days of the universe. This scale was the exact image of integrity. If a side were to give their stand and the scale tilts at their side, it means that they are telling the truth. However, if the scale tilts to the opposite direction, they are lying even if they tell a bit of truth. And if the scale remains the same, they are giving a neutral stance. The vow… a serious matter. Once a celestial body says the vow truthfully, if the vow is to be broken, that celestial body will suffer the flames of Methuselah.

Earth chuckled at that thought as he prepared the formal outfits for his children while Anon and Monarch looked through the rule book of the court. He then waited patiently for his opening.

“FATHER! THE PORTAL IS READY!!!” Anon yelled. Earth smiled.

“Then let the true trial begin!”

MEANWHILE

“EARTH! You’ve been nothing but an arrogant asshole…” Jupiter sided with his moons. The other planets glared at the life-sustaining planet, expecting an apology, only to see him grinning. Had he lost his mind? They all thought in unison.

“Let the actual Terra handle you…” Capita changed his voice, revealing that he was nothing but an Earthling puppet. A white light enveloped them, bringing them to the thrones of the Celestial council. There sat a certain celestial body under the Military department. Capita fell lifeless on the ground, and his body broke, showing each part of his puppet design. The figure laughed.

“Welcome my dear planets and moons!”

Chapter Text

To be fair, that general was never once heartless despite his stoic and emotionless nature. Just as the saying goes, people were not born as villains or cruel, it was always the creation of the people surrounding them. Earth lived a decent life on his surface, avoiding any issues with the celestial ground. He fell in love with someone on his surface after the Great War in Europe. The personification of the League of Nations (LON), that was the current symbol of peace and tranquillity. Both of them enjoyed their presence together, ensuring that nations got along well and Anon was well taken care of. However, every happy story had to end. The league was weak. They were unable to stand on their own especially due to the rising tensions of the nations. When the Reich appeared and became a dominant threat, the League dissolved, leaving Earth and Anon behind. The planet’s heart shattered as he lost his only true love. It was then he had learnt that, until everyone is under one massive ruler, there will be no such thing as peace… So he supported the Reich, in hopes that everyone would be under one ruler

Earth had learnt so much under the Reich, that he had become the General for the Stars. He was invited after the fall of the Reich to lead the celestial army through war. The planet secretly accepted, hiding this away from the other planet of his solar system. From far away, Anon could see his Father hiding his true emotions under that mask which was well accustomed to him. The child one day hoped to see someone break through that mask and free him. However, much to his understanding, it was more like strings of guilt and anger that puppeteered him through his life

“It’s you… my beloved doll…” Earth would say as he created a life-sized doll of LON, his first-ever marionette

“When I’m happy, you’re smiling too…”
“When I’m angry, you’re still smiling…”
“When I’m sad, you keep on smiling…”
“You’re like a figure I could hide behind”

Earth then created Capita, representing the global powerhouse. This time, it displayed emotions.

“When I’m happy, you’re smiling too!”
“When I’m angry, you’re screaming too!”
“When I’m sad, you’re crying too…”
“You’re like a mirror, reflecting the perfect self I wanted to be..”

Earth then tore apart his own celestial body so that he could become just like the millions of dolls he had created. He created his own doll body which can easily mimic what a normal celestial body could do. His doll veins produced magma and oil, giving life to his new self. What about his emotions… He soon became unstable… His soul was resisting his now invincible body…

“When I’m happy, you’re screaming!”
“When I’m angry, you’re crying…”
“When I’m sad, you’re smiling…”
“You’re like a body, destroying me..”
“And that body is Ear- No... That’s not me..”

He was nothing more than a weapon for the stars. A general that will soon dictate the universe…

Chapter Text

“Who the fuck-” Venus got interrupted by Jupiter who seemed worried.

“Language! This is no ordinary person! Look at the badge, it’s the General of the Celestial Military!” Jupiter nagged, pointing to the figure’s outfit. The figure let out a hearty laugh

“You got a sharp eye, Zeus!” The figure stood up from his throne and walked out of the shadows revealing his identity. The moons and planets gasped as blood drained from their faces. There was no way the general was Earth, there was no way the general was that ‘Narcissistic, Egoistic, Bratty, Arrogant’ planet.

Venus wanted to pounce, slap and kick him for being a bitch, but somehow, Earth did not seem like an ordinary celestial body. His body seemed fake, just like Capita. The celestial bodies noticed the dark aura surrounding him. Sol sighed as he tried to reach for the general.

“What had my Elders done to you…? Sol tried to hold his planet’s gloved hand, only to be slapped away. Earth glared at his Sun

“Do not ever disrespect Methuselah's name. He’s the reason why I still have a purpose,” He threatened before stepping back. Anon just flinched when his father raised his voice. Earth noticed that his children were afraid before calming down, for their sake of course. He ruffled their hair before walking to the room. “Rest up, the true trial will begin tomorrow…”

Everyone's eyes gaped as they watched the figure disappear into the shadows before looking at Anon and Monarch who were about to leave. Anon just pitifully sighed. They needed an explanation after all so the two invited for tea, well dinner, as it was evening. Monarch and Anon looked at each other and nodded before taking a deep breath.

“Father… Isn't allowed to represent his celestial life outside of the military… That's why he stayed on his surface and let Capita do the talking and other things related to this solar system…” Anon sighed before Monarch continued. “That left him alone on his surface with Anon, until he met LON… The love of his life…”

“She died for the humans,” Anon growled. “Father decided that everyone needed to be under an authoritarian rule… He joined a war criminal out of despair and frustration…”

THE DEAL:

“Geae! Will you give up your celestial status for someone else for the sake of greater Universal control?” Mesuthelah offered him, showing him the treaty to which if he signed it, he had to give up representing his planet in Helio’s Solar System. Earth having to give up after the first world war on his surface, just accepted, knowing that he could live on his own surface with the love of his life. He was extremely tired of his solar system, so he created Capita on his behalf, only for his puppet to go against him after WW2…

Chapter Text

Earth sits in his bedroom, preparing his opening speech for the trial when the ghost of LON appeared behind him. He smiled and shivered when he felt the ghostly presence.

“Darling… Why don’t you want to enter the body I created for you?” Earth asked as he felt the ghost hug him from behind. LON chuckled softly and played with his hair. LON gave him a cold light kiss on the cheek before replying. “I just want to spook our ‘guests’ today…”

Earth smiled as put down his notes, just giving his lover his full attention. “Still a cheeky woman, I suppose,”

“Earthy, when will you join me?” She asked, expressing a sad face. Earth smiled as he blew a kiss.

“Soon darling, soon,” Earth smiled sadly. “Hopefully, God will be merciful about my war crimes… Will you be by my side during the Trials?”

LON smiled as she got into her artificial body which Earth had perfected over the years after successfully creating Monarch. She loved her devoted husband and how he willingly started a war just for her. Quite ironic isn’t it? The figure known for peace, falling in love with a guy who caused destruction to millions. Well, Earth was not some cruel heartless warlord, he was just misguided. LON held her husband’s hand gently, comforting him. After all, it was like a big finale of the show.

“Of course my love,” LON nodded as her husband kissed her puppet hands. “Shall we dance?”

MEANWHILE:

During their stay in Earth’s celestial home, Venus heard some classical music playing from upstairs. He nudged Anon in confusion. Anon, Monarch and Capita smiled sadly.

“Father and Mother must be dancing again…” Aono smiled dreamingly. As the oldest, he had always found his foster parents to be unique. A celestial body, married to an organisation of peace. It was always one of those wholesome forbidden love tropes. Monarch and Capita were created later after LON had passed on. They only g0t to see their mother’s ghost following them. Capita sighed sadly.

“Hey Anon… Will Father forgive me?” Capita asked solemnly. He remembered after waking up, his father did not bother looking at him while his sister took care of him. Capita could feel the cold, dark aura surrounding his father as he walked away from the twins. The oldest sibling shrugged before looking at his watch.

“The courtroom will open soon…”
