Kaz Brekker wasn't one to be swayed by paranormal activity and superstitions despite the existence of grisha, he was an individual of logic and facts .So while he was musing the details of his next scheme in his office at the slat, he didn't predict himself being teleported into a room, so completely different from the comfort offered by the slat, which although was a worn out shabby place but nonetheless a place of comfort for the hardened members of the Dregs and others. The room was large with rows of cushioned chairs, the walls of the room were gray, and the lights were a bright yellow contrasting with the dark walls.
