Summary
'Good intentions pave the road to Hell.'
When Nightwing saves a girl from being murdered by her boyfriend, she immediately feels gratitude for his act of heroism in saving her life, to the point of feeling indebted to him.
Her gratitude soon turns into a deep-rooted and unhealthy obsession for the man. In the girl's delusional state, she believes that Nightwing has appointed her as the 'chosen' one, deeming her worthy of starting a cult-like following on him.
What was meant to be a good deed changes Nightwing's and his family's life for the worse.
Maybe he should have never saved her that night.
