"Nick knows, in theory, that today is the day of the author visit. It’s been added to the school calendar, he even mentioned it himself in morning briefing, and Tara has been in constant email communication with him about it. This doesn’t stop him from doing a poorly-hidden double-take when Darcy brings their visitor through to meet him.
Should have known better than to stereotype, thinks Nick, internally berating himself. The most gorgeous man he has ever seen, is currently standing in front of his desk. A riot of dark curls sits atop a tall slender frame, with the bluest of blue eyes staring warmly out of an elfin face. This gorgeous man holds out his hand for Nick to shake, and Nick resists the impulsive urge to grab it and run away with him. “Hi. I’m Charlie Spring.”
