Chapter Text
Aiden had begged Tyler to let him come over, saying that he needed ‘help with studying’ because he ‘couldn’t focus’.
“I suggest ADHD meds.” Tyler grumbled as he closed his locker,
“I can’t study alone! And Ben is hanging out with Logan tonight.” The blonde whined, Taylor smirked.
“‘Hanging out’.” She did the quotes with her fingers.
Aiden grinned and gave her a knowing look. “Oh yeah they’re totally on a date.”
“So you felt that tension too?”
“When they were sitting next to each other on the bus, sharing—“
“Sharing the earbuds!” They said in unison. Tyler slowly started edging away from them, hoping he could escape before they noticed, but Aiden jumped in front of him.
“Ah ah ah, you still need to let me over.” The blonde stayed in Ty’s way so he wouldn’t be able to get around him.
After a long and silent glaring match Taylor huffed and grabbed the sleeve of Tyler’s hoodie. “You can come over, Aiden. I’ll help you out.” She shot a look at her twin, who rolled his eyes in response.
“Fine. But I’m not helping you.”
“Of course not, because you’ve got better things to do.” Aiden said sarcastically and raised a brow
“Anything is better than being around you.” He waved a hand at the blonde, sidestepping him and nudging his shoulder as he passed.
“Rude and uncalled for!” Aiden called back to him, a slight upwards tilt to his lips.
—
“Hey Ty…” Taylors voice spoke over the phone, Tyler knew that voice, he could practically hear the puppy dog eyes.
“Taylor if you don’t show up I’m gonna kick him out.” The brunette rubbed his temple with his free hand, the other holding his phone to his ear.
Aiden had shown up maybe fifteen minutes ago, and Taylor was nowhere to be found. “Something came up and my club needed help with a project!” She cried, “please don’t kick him out, it’s raining and he doesn’t have a ride home.”
“I don’t care.”
“Tyler.”
“… Fine.”
“Yay! Thank you. Also help Aiden with his studying, love you bye!” She rushed out the words before hanging up, leaving a gaping Tyler.
He heard a low whistle behind him and snapped his head to the side to see Aiden sitting on the kitchen counter, eating an apple.
“Stuck with me, huh?” The blonde Cheshire grinned, hopping off the counter and sauntering into Tyler’s room.
“Don’t you need your books for studying?” The brunette grumbled, eyes locked on the short stack of books set on the dining table.
“Can you grab them for me?”
Tyler let out a squawk of protest, “excuse you? No. I won’t grab them for you—“
“Please?~”
He paused, for some reason rooted to the spot. “Ugh- fucking fine…” Ty huffed, grabbing the books and stomping into his room, dropping them onto the floor in front of Aiden. “Do it yourself.”
—
Taylor let out a deep sigh when she hung up, slumping her shoulders. “Ugh… So glad he bought that.” She turned to Ashlyn, who was sitting with her hair down on her bed.
“It’s worth it if those dumbasses will stop being so oblivious.” The redhead rolled her eyes, laying back. “I also sent that Pocky video to Aiden, just to be thorough.”
“Ooo~ genius!” The twin high-five’d her, flopping down next to Ashlyn. “Can you just walk me through the steps of the plan again?”
“We finished it though.”Ashlyn lazily turned her head to face her friend.
“Yeah- I know! I wanna bask in the glory of our success.”
“We don’t know if it will succeed though-“
“Shhh. I’m manifesting.”
“Okay…” Ashlyn smiled ever so slightly, but that counted as a win to Taylor. “First I suggested Aiden ask you for help with studying for a test, because you’re better at math than I am.”
The twin nodded along, a triumphant grin on her face.
“Then we made sure you were with Tyler when Aiden asked, to add suspense, as you said.”
“I’m brilliant, go on.”
Ashlyn let out a short laugh, “uh-huh. Once you were sure Aiden was at the house with Tyler, you called him and told him you had stuff to do for club and couldn’t make it.”
“Thank god it was raining, the gods are on our side.” Taylor let out a sigh, stretching her limbs.
Ashlyn hummed and nodded, starting to her flexible stretching that always made Tay gawk. “It makes sense, this is a noble thing we’re doing.”
“I wonder how it’s going?” Taylor tapped her chin, hoping everything goes well.
—
Aiden was lazily lying on Tyler’s floor with a few books scattered around, obnoxiously eating an apple.
Ty swears Aiden does it on purpose—chewing with his mouth open—the lack of common manners is horrifying.
“I’m so bored…” The blonde groaned, throwing an arm over his face in anguish.
The brunette rolled his eyes, looking down at him. “Remind me why that’s my problem?”
Aiden huffed dramatically, sitting criss-cross-applesauce on the carpet. “Because you’re the host, you should be entertaining me.” He smiled, Tyler hated that stupid grin, it always pissed him off.
To be honest, everything about Aiden pissed him off.
“You’re supposed to be studying, actually- Taylor is supposed to be teaching you!” He pointed, glaring. “But she had something more important to do, and didn’t want to leave you hanging.” Tyler huffed, folding his arms.
“So…” Aiden hummed, leaning his head on his hand with a smirk.
Tyler grumbled something under his breath, it was more like garbled scrambled words though. “So. You should be glad you’re getting help at all. And I don’t care if you’re bored.” He scoffed, looking back at the blonde. “Are you even listening!?”
He was staring down at his phone, presumably watching something. “Ooo~ this would be fun!” He cheered, holding his phone up to the brunette.
Tyler didn’t even read it at first, just shoving Aiden’s hand away while muttering-“I should’ve just kicked you out into the rain…”
Then Aiden batted his hand away and focused the brunettes attention on the phone.
It was a video titled ‘the pocky challenge’, two people started with either end of a pocky stick, and they would both slowly get closer, whoever moved away first lost.
“What the fuck is this?” Was Tyler’s initial reaction, to which Aiden smiled.
“Y’know that game, where two people drive a car at each other, and whoever swerves out of the way first loses?”
“Chicken.”
The blonde snapped his fingers in recognition, “yeah! That.” He nodded quickly, leaning forward on one hand.
“So what, it’s like chicken but with pocky?” Tyler squinted, his head tilting to the side in slight confusion.
“Yup!” Aiden nodded, placing his phone back on the ground. They both stared at each other in silence for a moment.
“I’m not doing that-“
“Awh~ cmon! Why not?” Aiden chuckled, shifting so he sat on his knees. “Oh I get it, you’re just scared~” he narrowed his eyes at Ty, a smirk growing on his face.
He stared at him, eyes narrowing. “I am not scared!” Tyler huffed, jaw clenching.
“Uh-huh, suuurrreeee…” the blonde slowly turned away, tapping his hands on his knees.
The brunette grumbled something and stood, stomping over to a desk in the corner of the room and rummaging through some drawers. Aiden glanced over in interest. “Whatcha looking for?”
“Nunya.” Tyler glared at him, crouching down and pulling open another drawer, and pulled out a box of strawberry pocky.
The blonde tried (he did not try) to hold back a laugh, covering his mouth with a hand. “Is that Taylor’s?” He hummed in question, watching as Ty stomped back over and sat across from him.
“Yeah- she has a bunch of these..” he grumbled looking down as he pulled one of the sticks out of the box. He flipped it so the frosted end faced him, holding it up.
“Excuse you- I don’t want the bland side!” Aiden whined, reaching for the sweet treat. Tyler leaned away.
“Oh don’t be a child, it doesn’t matter!”
“That’s rich coming from you-“
“Shut up!” The brunette smacked Aiden’s hand away, holding the stick out of reach. “Deal with it.”
The blonde chuckled, holding out a fist. “Rock paper scissors?” He smiled innocently, head tilting.
“Seriously? That’s how you wanna solve this?” He raised an unamused brow, only to be met with an annoying grin.
“We wouldn’t have to solve anything if you weren’t so argumentative.” Aiden snarked.
“Stop talking unless you want me to choke you.”
Aiden smirked, wiggling his eyebrows.
“Ew. Fuck you.”Tyler grimaced, but the blonde just laughed, so Ty set the stick down, holding out his own fist. “Fine.”
Aiden got into ready position, both acting semi-serious now, the blonde started the match.
“Rock.”
“Paper.
“Scissor…”
“Shoot!”
Aiden held out rock while Tyler held out scissors.
“Best of three!” The brunette retorted, holding his fist out again, but the blonde just tapped the top of his hand.
Aiden clicked his tongue, “ah, ah, ah, I thought it didn’t matter..?” He blinked slowly, smiling wide.
Tyler paused, narrowing his eyes and slowly pulling his arm down. “Yes. It doesn’t.” He grumbled, taking the pocky and flipping it so the frosted side faced Aiden. “This is ridiculous, why am I doing this…”
“Don’t ruin the fun, mister!” Aiden wagged his finger at him, shaking his head disapprovingly. “Stop thinking, just do.”He leaned in to gently bite the end, Tyler (begrudgingly) did the same.
“Ready… go!”
They started slowly inching towards each other, biting off the stick as they went. Tyler making eye contact with him the whole time, moving much slower than Aiden was.
The brunettes brain started working in overdrive, *why am I doing this? I shouldn’t be doing this. This is dumb. Stupid. Tomfoolery. Stop thinking. Wait no that’s what he said—*
Eventually their noses brushed together and Aiden tilted his head to the side with zero hesitation, Tyler was just gonna pull away then. But the blonde stared at him with a challenging smirk, he should’ve never agreed to this.
*Why is Aiden acting like this? Why isn’t that idiot freaking out too? I mean—I’m not freaking not. Wait can he see that I’m freaking out? Does he want to kiss me?- nope. Shut those thoughts down right now. Focus..*
Tyler glared, certainly not backing down from that. (No matter how hot it was getting in this room.) He let out a small huff as they quickly got to the very end of the stick, lips brushing against the other.
They each froze, just blinking at each other for a few moments. Tyler could feel his face burn, his heartbeat quickening. Though… he could see Aiden’s cheeks dusted pink as well.
*he wants this. Does he want this? God I fucking hope he wants this. Wait, what?*
The silence in the room was growing, and you could cut the tension with a knife but Tyler was much too stubborn to pull away, and Aiden was such an adrenaline junky that he would do anything for the rush.
Tylers brain was static, just staring wide eyed as he watched Aiden. Watched his expressions, listened to his quiet, short breathing, felt the heat of him and the gentle press of his lips.
The blondes hand moved to hold the back of Ty’s neck, playing with the baby hairs there. The brunette took in a sharp breath as he closed the (non existent) distance, completely freezing.
*fuck. Fucking fuckity fucky fuck fuck.*
Was all Tyler could think of. Aiden was weirdly cold, his fingers were freezing on his neck. But it felt good, and after a couple seconds, his hand cupped Aiden’s cheek, tilting his head slightly as their lips moved together.
It was warm, and tasted like pocky.
It was nice…
The blonde hummed in contentment, eyes fluttering shut with a growing smile on his lips. The brunettes own eyes squeezed closed, shifting to sit on his knees and raised himself slightly higher than Aiden.
Aiden smirked into the kiss, using his other hand to tangle into the brunette hair. Tyler lightly huffed, his free hand resting on the blondes shoulder.
*how did Aiden learn how to kiss? Because there’s no way he’s naturally this good.*
Aiden leaned closer, their chests pressing together. “Mmh- I travel a lot. So I’ve been with plenty of people.“ he must have read the expression on Tyler’s face because he laughed against his lips. “Yeah you said that out loud.”
The brunette didn’t quite know how to respond, a mix of embarrassment and… Jealousy? The thought of Aiden kissing other people made Tyler feel mildly jealous. (A lot more than mildly.)
Aiden’s arms snaked around Ty’s waist, pressing against the small of his back so the brunette straddled his thighs. Tyler’s face flushed red and he bit his lip to suppress what he knows is an embarrassing sound.
A hand cupped his chin, “I wanna hear you, Ty.” Aiden whispered into his ear, pressing his thumb against Tyler’s lips and taking it out from his teeth.
Then the blonde used the opportunity and slipped his tongue past Tyler’s lips. The brunettes mind felt fuzzy, and his body got all tingly feeling. It was odd, but he honestly didn’t hate it.
Aiden licked into Tylers mouth, exploring every nook and cranny with unexpected eagerness, and drawing a groan out of Ty.
“There you are..” the blonde breathed once he pulled away, tipping Tyler’s head back by his hair and starting to nip and suck at his neck.
—
Tyler wasn’t answering his phone, Aiden wasn’t either. But Tyler always answered her texts, he always answered.
Taylor was a little worried. What if they fought? What if they hurt each other?
Ashlyn tried to calm her down the entire ride there.
“Taylor, I’m sure they’re fine. Probably busy making out or something.” The red-head scoffed, holding up an umbrella as the duo exited the bus.
“I just want to make sure.” The twin unlocked and opened the door, a good sign that the door was locked.
She walked through the house, heading straight for Tyler’s room and ignoring the panicked look on her friends face.
“Tay-seriously don’t go in there!”
“Hey Ty, you weren’t answering your phone!-“ She burst into the room, freezing as she saw the two boys. “Oh.” Tyler tried to scramble away from Aiden, blushing profusely.
His hair was a mess, and his lips were red and glistening with saliva. Her twin was originally on Aiden’s lap when she burst in, but now he was several feet away, *with a fucking hickey on his neck…*
“Taylor! Knocking!!” His voice was unnaturally high pitched, running a hand through his hair and attempting to catch his breath.
Aiden hadn’t really moved, just turning to face Tay with his usual smile. “Hi Tay!~”
Taylor just had a look of shock plastered on her face, completely frozen. “Hey… I- uhm- sorry!” She squeaked out, slamming the door shut.
Tyler groaned, leaning against his bed and covering his face with his hands. He brought his knees up to his chest to hopefully hide the tent that had formed in his pants from the blonde.
Aiden glanced at him, “did that ruin the moment?” He asked, still panting quietly.
The brunette took a shaky breath, “yeah- very much so.” He rolled his eyes, bringing his knees up to his chest. “Ugh… That was so embarrassing..”
The blonde just shrugged, subtly licking his lips. “Yeah… she’s totally gonna tell everyone else.”
Tyler ran a hand over his face, letting out another sigh. He looked back at Aiden, face still flushed and lips slightly reddened.
“Want me to leave?” The blonde hummed, looking over at him with a raised brow.
“Well- yeah… But- but it’s not that I didn’t like it or anything! I just need a little time-“
Aiden waved him off, “relax~ I get it. My brains a little fuzzy now too.” He stood, stretching his arms out. Tyler’s eyes followed him almost involuntarily. “We should do this again some time.” He teased with a playful smirk, walking out the door and closing it behind him.
Tyler kept his gaze locked on the door for a few seconds before snapping out of it. He grabbed a pillow from his bed and buried his face into it, letting out a frustrated groan.
He’s gonna have to deal with the issue in his pants in the bathroom, away from Taylor. And hopefully she’ll never speak about it again.
The brunette was never good with feelings, and that was just way too overwhelming… He had to see Aiden again at 12AM.
God damnit.
—
As Aiden shut the door behind him he let out a shaky breath, face heating up to a concerning extent. Until he locked eyes with Taylor in the kitchen, both just staring wide-eyed.
“Hello Aiden…” she whispered, eyes narrowing. “So… Guess it’s good my club needed some extra hands…” she wiggled her eyebrows at him.
The blonde huffed, “Y’know- I forgot you lived here, and I kinda wish you didn’t right now.” He grumbled with a small smile.
“Heyyyyyy… don’t be mean! I could be your future sister-in-law?~” she teased, leaning her head in her hands.
Aiden’s face flushed at the thought. “God, in my worst nightmares.” He walked as fast as he could without running towards the front door.
“Uh-huh, See you next time, Aiden!~” Taylor waved with a knowing smile, and the blonde slammed the door shut behind him. “Wait a few minutes before leaving, I don’t wanna tell either of them.”
“Oh certainly not.” Ashlyn peeked out from behind the kitchen counter, resting her hands on her hips and giving Taylor a look. “I told you so—“
“I’m sorry, I ruined it for them!” The twin cried, holding her head in her hands.
Ashlyn shook her head, “no. We got the ball rolling, they’ll figure it out afterwards.”
Notes:
How do we like the Taylor and Ashlyn subplot? Is it good? Did I write the characters okay?
I love all your comments! ❤️

Chapter Text
“sorry I disturbed whatever thing you had going with Aiden..” Taylor blurted from her spot on the top bunk.
Tyler opened his eyes to glare at the spot where she was lying above him. “there was no thing.”
“Mmm. There definitely was a thing, I distinctly remember you on his lap-HEY!”
Ty had kicked the bed above him in protest, “forget what you saw!” He huffed, folding his arms.
“Oh come on Tyler! Give me the details! The juice!” She peeked her head down to look at him, he could see her faint silhouette in the darkness.
“I’m not giving you shit. Go to bed, it’s almost time.” He rolled his eyes, turning away from her to face the wall.
Taylor groaned like this was world ending, “nooooo…. tyyyyyylllerrrrr… I’m so curious now!”
“Haven’t you heard? Curiosity killed the cat.”
“Do I look like a cat to you?”
“No you look like an idiot to me.”
—
As the clock hit 12AM, Tyler woke up in the school bus. That all too familiar red sky peering through the old windows.
Thankfully, Aiden was on another side of the bus with Ashlyn, who had stood up with a tired sigh. The redhead mumbled a small greeting, then started chatting with Taylor.
Everyone had agreed the day before that they were just gonna take a day off from plotting or trying to figure out what the hell was going on.
It was probably a good idea, Logan looked like he was on the edge of a panic attack at all times. So god knows he needed it, poor guy was passed out.
Aiden locked eyes with him, and Tyler met it with a glare.
Was he ignoring the weird fuzzy feeling in his chest whenever he looked at Aiden?
Yes. And he wasn’t stopping anytime soon.
He could not deal with the blondes energy right now, not after their… Interaction. And Taylor had not helped these thoughts with her constant pestering
Oh god was he blushing? Tyler feels like his face is warm, Aiden is using that stupid smirk- fuck, he was totally blushing.
He met eyes with Taylor for a moment, and she was wiggling her eyebrows at him. Definitely an idiot.
Wait why is Aiden walking over-
“Hey Ty~ how are you this fine evening?” The annoying blonde grinned, and no Tyler was not staring at his lips, that’s ridiculous, why would you ever think that? Dumb idiot fool.
“What do you want.” He grumbled, folding his arms and shrinking into the corner of the small seat he was in. Aiden leaned over the back of the seat and rested his chin in his arms.
The blonde shrugged, “eh, Ben is busy getting all cuddly with Logan. So you are my new target.” He smiled brightly, moving so he was sitting next to Ty.
Ashlyn glanced over, and smirked when she saw them. Tyler (not so) subtly flipped her off, then she turned and whispered something into Taylors ear—who whipped her head around to stare at them before Ash rolled her eyes and turned her attention away.
—
“Wow, way to be subtle.” The red head sighed, leaning her forehead on the window.
Taylor huffed, “a girl can be curious! Plus, he wouldn’t tell me anything.”
“Maybe because it’s private info?” Ash raised a brow.
“But I’m his sister!”
Ashlyn sat up in her seat. “Would you tell him all about your romantic life?”
Taylor groans, throwing her arms up. “But he doesn’t wanna know about that kinda stuff!”
Ashlyn was quiet for a moment, then nodded. “Fair point.”
—
Oh Aiden’s talking-
“-ag.” Was all Tyler heard when he zoned back in.
“Huh?”
Aiden huffed dramatically. “Looks like the cat’s out of the bag.” He repeated, smirking smugly.
“Oh. Can you not look so happy about that.” Tyler rolled his eyes, leaning his head on his hand.
The blonde shook his head, “nope.” He popped the p obnoxiously.
The brunette huffed and looked out the window again, he’ll probably just try and fall asleep. That’s better than having to deal with this asshole.
~ a couple hours later ~
Tyler stirred, “mmm…” he blinked a couple times. There was a weight on his chest, he looked down and saw a patch of blonde hair. He wanted to shove Aiden away, say something about personal space.
But he looked so… peaceful.
Curled up at Tyler’s side, halfway in his lap with his arms around Ty’s shoulders, and his head buried in the brunettes warm sweater…
Tyler shifted, repositioning so he was leaned against the window with Aiden’s head on his shoulder. Ty slowly snaked his arms around his waist, comfortably holding him.
Unfortunately, the blonde stirred.
“Mmfh-…” he squinted up at Ty, arms tightening around him.
The brunette didn’t know what to do, this felt a little intimate for his taste. (It doesn’t matter if they’ve kissed before)
“Morning~” Aiden smiled, fingers carding through the back of Tyler’s hair.
“It’s not morning.” The brunette tilted his head away, removing his arms from the blonde’s waist.
“Technically it is.” Aiden grabbed Tyler’s forearms and placed them back around his waist.
Tyler was not blushing.
But Aiden still noticed, because of course he did. “Y’know, I’ve been thinking…” he whispered, his breath ghosting over Ty’s neck, he shivered in response.
“Hm?” Was all the brunette could manage, he knows his voice would sound all shaky if he actually tried to speak.
Aiden tilted his head, his lips hovering over Tyler’s. “About earlier, when we were… Studying.” He grinned.
He kept talking about something, but Ty was no longer listening. Now focusing on trying not to move, or breathe, or kiss him because wow. Aiden’s lips are right there.
— Aiden POV —
“Tyler~ you still with me?” Aiden chuckled, moving his hand to pat Tyler’s face.
The brunette nodded, biting the inside of his cheek.
This guy. It’s like he’s trying to drive Aiden crazy, hasn’t stopped looking at the blondes lips since he started talking.
“Jeez, were you even listening?” He sighed dramatically, “fine, I’ll just repeat myse-“
Tyler cut him off, closing the distance and pressing their lips together.
Aiden made a surprised noise but caught on quickly, tilting his head and leaning into the other.
Sure, the others were in the bus with them. But they were asleep, it was fine. Totally, definitely, fine.
The kiss was warm, soothing in a way that Aiden couldn’t quite place. But also exhilarating, he could feel Tyler’s heartbeat racing, his was in a similar state.
Aiden flicked his tongue over Ty’s bottom lip, holding the back of his head. The brunette gasped, and Aiden took the opportunity to slip his tongue into the kiss, exploring his mouth with a hungry passion.
“Mmf-“ Tyler panted, gently nudging the blonde away. And god damn, everything about him turns Aiden on.
His chocolate brown eyes half-lidded and pupils blown wide. His face was flushed that pretty red color it gets when he’s flustered, his lips parted as he caught his breath. And when Aiden pulled away, a string of saliva connected their lips.
They just looked at each other for a moment, or two, or three… The tension in the air was thick.
Aiden initiated it, much more heated than the first time. Their lips moved together with a certain neediness, tongues dancing in a fight for dominance.
Tyler always was stubborn.
The blonde grabbed at Ty’s hair, fingers tangling and gently tugging his head back.
Aiden shifted to fully sit on his lap, and Tyler’s hands moved to rest on his hips, holding him there.
Aiden couldn’t help but smile, giggling happily.
“Could you two just sleep.” An annoyed voice whispered, the blonde turned to look at the voice.
Ashlyn, of course.
“Sorry~” Aiden grinned, then he turned back to look at Tyler, whose head was tilted back in irritation. “So anyways-“
“Good night, Aiden.” Ty cut him off with a glare, that same embarrassed look on his face from when Taylor had interrupted them earlier.
“Fine fine…” Aiden sighed, curling into him and promptly ignoring the tightness in his pants.
And so, the boys did some wholesome cuddling, and fell asleep.
(I had no idea how this chapter would end)
