Chapter Text

Chapter 1: Into The Aether Mansion 

The beauty of the Alola region. The waves hitting the shore, the Pokemon singing in the trees, the colorful hole in the sky. Wait, what? 

A colorful hole ripped open in the sky, something that the Ultra Recon Squad knew very well. An Ultra Wormhole. 

“You gotta be kidding me. More Ultra Beast nonsense,” complained Mallow.

“We just finished cleaning up after Ultra Necrozma and that emo Lillie,” complained Sophocles.

“Enough bellyaching! We have a duty to the people of Alola to make sure no Ultra Beast goes on a rampage,” snapped Gladion as they flew over to the Wormhole. 

“Who made you the leader?” questioned Lana.

“Ash did, remember,” said Kiawe as Gladion rolled his eyes.

“Oh, right,” said Lana as she blushed in embarrassment. When they reached the Wormhole, they saw that it closed without anything coming out of it.

“Good, it was a false alarm,” said Mallow. As the others sighed in relief, Gladion seemed to be considering something though.

“Gladion, what are you thinking of?” asked Kiawe as he went over to him. 

“Something doesn't feel right. Ever since my mother got out of the hospital, she locked herself in the house. And now this. I've heard some of the things she's said, and it isn't right,” said Gladion. 

“That does sound suspicious. Do you think we should investigate?” asked Kiawe. 

“I'll investigate. You guys should be ready in case more Ultra Wormholes open,” said Gladion as he began to walk away, but he was blocked by Kiawe.

“There's no way I'm letting you go in alone,” he said to his leader, making Gladion sigh.

“Fine, I'll call in backup,” said Gladion as he pulled out his rotom phone. 

“Hey Ash, I could use your help,” said Gladion. 

Not too long later, Blue and Gladion stood outside of the Aether Mansion. Blue was holding a small device that Sophocles gave him.

“You're right Gladion, there's an unusual amount of energy being used in there,” said Blue before he pocketed the device.

“I hope mother isn't doing anything too reckless,” said Gladion. 

“Don't worry, the two of us can handle it,” said Blue.

“Pika pika,” snapped Pikachu, making the two boys chuckle.

“The three of us,” said Blue before they opened the door and entered the mansion. When they got in, they were surprised by how empty everything was. 

“This doesn't feel right at all,” said Gladion before the door behind them slammed closed. 

“That's not good,” said Blue as he walked over to the door and tried to open it, but couldn't. 

“Um, that's very not good,” said Blue before he lit his hands with his aura and punched the door. His fist harmlessly bounced off the door before a shockwave came off the door and slammed into him.

“Ash, are you ok?” asked Gladion as he picked Blue up. 

“Yeah, I'm fine. But it seems like the door absorbed my aura and then threw it back out,” said Blue before he and Gladion pulled out a pokeball.

“Go Floragato,” said Blue.

“Go Lycanroc,” said Gladion. But to their shock, their pokeballs just fell to the ground, no Pokemon coming out. Blue and Gladion looked at each other, knowing what this meant.

“We just walked into a trap,” they said at the same time. Blue tried to activate his communicator, but got nothing. Gladion groaned in anger before punching a wall.

“Great, just great. Now we're trapped in here without our Pokemon, and your aura is useless,” said Gladion.

“PIKACHU!” snapped Pikachu, making Gladion sigh.

“Ok, without most of our Pokemon,” said Gladion.

“Well, it doesn't matter. If anything, this proves that Lusamine is up to something,” said Blue. 

“Right. I didn't really want to believe it, but you're right,” said Gladion as he turned to Blue.

“Come on, I know this place like the back of my hand,” said Gladion before he led Blue down the many halls. As they walked, they didn't see anyone. No staff and Lusamine. 

“This is so weird,” said Blue before they came to the stairs that led to the basement. They could see some light coming from the bottom.

“A sign of life, let's go,” said Gladion as they went into the basement. When they entered, all the lights in the hallway were on, but the basement was full of twists and turns.

“I can hear something coming from this way, come on,” said Blue before they ran off.

What they saw, it horrified them. Even Blue, someone who's seen the worst of the world, was horrified by what he saw. Lusamine was standing in a white room, surrounded by frozen Pokemon.

Chapter Text

Chapter 2: A Perfect Daughter 

Gladion and Blue carefully walked into the room as Lusamine hadn't seen them yet. 

“Mother, what have you done?” asked Gladion. Lusamine turned around to face the two of them.

“Gladion, why are you standing with that murderer?” questioned Lusamine with a glare. 

“Mother, you know that Ash didn't kill Lillie. It was Dark,” said Gladion.

“NO! LILLIE DIED PROTECTING HIM. HE SHOULD HAVE DIED, NOT HER. NOT MY LITTLE GIRL!” yelled Lusamine as tears began to fall from her eyes. 

“Lusamine, why are you freezing these Pokemon?” asked Blue as Pikachu began to spark. 

“Why, well this is an experiment. I needed to test this freezing before I use it to permanently protect my new daughter,” she said before she tossed out 6 pokeballs. Salazzle, Milotic, Bewear, Absol, Froslass and Lurantis. 

“I know why you're here, which is why I locked any pokeballs that aren't mine and cancelled all z power. Even your Pikachu can't beat my entire team without a z move,” said Lusamine as she began to laugh.

“MOTHER! Can't we talk about this?” questioned Gladion.

“NO. I will open an Ultra Wormhole and bring a new daughter here,” said Lusamine before she turned to a computer.

“NO, I WON'T LET YOU. PIKACHU, USE ELECTRO WEB!” yelled Blue as he tossed his Pikachu into the air. 

“KA!” yelled Pikachu as he threw the massive web at the group of Pokemon. However, Beware and Froslass were able to move away before getting hit, letting Beware land a hammer arm attack on the still airborne Pikachu. 

“Pikachu, are you ok?” asked Blue as he ran over to his buddy.

“Pika pika,” said Pikachu as he jumped right back up. Froslass shot a shadow ball at Pikachu, but the mouse was too fast.

“Iron Tail,” said Blue. Pikachu jumped up and used the attack, but it was blocked by Bewear. However, Pikachu was able to push past Bewear’s defense by pure strength alone. 

While Blue and Pikachu fought, Gladion ran over to his mother.

“Mother, you have to stop this. Ripping apart another family isn't right. Lillie is gone, I know it's hard, but you have to accept that,” he said. In response, Lusamine slapped him.

“Lurantis, cut apart this traitor,” said Lusamine. Gladion’s eyes widened before he jumped away from the grass and bug type. The ground began to shake as an Ultra Wormhole opened above them.

“NO!” yelled Blue before he ducked under an attack from Bewear. 

“Come to me, my perfect daughter!” exclaimed Lusamine as the form of Lillie floated out of the portal. She hovered in the air for a second, before falling. Lusamine caught her, the girl's eyes still closed. 

“My precious little girl,” said Lusamine with a wicked smile. Lillie opened her eyes, and they widened.

“AHHHHHHHHHH!” she yelled as she jumped away from Lusamine and backed away in fear.

“Where am I? And why are you here?” she asked as she backed away from Lusamine.

“I brought you here to replace my daughter. You will be my perfect little girl,” said Lusamine as she walked towards Lillie, making the girl's breath quicken.

“No, nononono. Stay away, STAY AWAY!” yelled Lillie as she turned to run, but was in a corner. But before Lusamine could reach her, an Incineroar came out of the portal and knocked Lusamine away. 

“What?” questioned Gladion as he tried to not get killed. Then, a girl wearing shorts, a yellow top and a red hat came out of the portal and glared at Lusamine.

“Stay away from her, you monster,” she snapped with a deadly tone. 

“SELENE!” exclaimed Lillie in relief as she ran to the girl and wrapped her into a hug.

“Are you ok baby?” Selene asked her, getting a nod. Selene sighed in relief before kissing Lillie on the forehead. 

“Baby? No, no no. She's not your baby, she's MY baby girl,” snapped Lusamine as she stood up. Bewear jumped over to her as Incineroar growled. Selene turned back to Lusamine, a look of pure hatred in her eyes.

“I don't know what's going on, but I refuse to let another Lusamine hurt my Lillie. Nebby, get us out of here,” said Selene as she tossed out another pokeball. But just like with Blue and Gladion, nothing happened.

“What?” questioned Selene as Lusamine began to laugh.

“You can't win. It's six Pokemon versus two,” said Lusamine as Bewear and Incineroar went at it. An explosion was heard, and Pikachu knocked out Milotic, Froslass and Salazzle. But unfortunately, he was knocked out too. 

“GLADION, SELENE, WE HAVE TO RUN!” called out Blue.

“And who the hell are you?” snapped Selene as she looked at Blue, who then jumped over Absol and kicked it in the back while holding Pikachu. He tried to activate his aura, but couldn't.

“Not even the strongest trainer in the Multiverse can win against these odds. Once I have my Lillie, I will keep her here forever,” said Lusamine. Lillie looked at the frozen Pokemon and gasped. Gladion ran over to Selene, allowing Blue to punch Lurantis away.

“I know we just met, but we're on the same side. We'll try to get Lillie out of here if you can hold Lusamine off,” said Gladion as Incineroar was being backed down by three Pokemon. Selene looked back at her Lillie before nodding.

“Take her. Please, keep her safe," Selene begged him. Gladion ran over to Lillie and held out his hand.

“Gladion, what's going on?” questioned Lillie. But what she didn't see was the beam of light that shot down from the ceiling and encased her body.

“AHHHHHHHHHH!” she cried in pain as she held her head.

“NO!” exclaimed Gladion as he tried to reach out to her, but an explosion came from the light that sent everyone to the ground. When everyone stood up, they saw Lillie standing there, but something wasn't right. Her face was in an unnatural smile and her eyes were wide. 

“Lillie, are you ok?” asked Selene as she walked over to her girlfriend.

“Of course,” said Lillie in an artificial tone that scared Selene. Gladion and Blue tried to stand up, but were held down by Lusamine’s Pokemon. 

“WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?” Blue snapped at Lusamine, who laughed as she stood up.

“I made her into the perfect daughter. Obedient and quiet. Lillie dear, come here,” said Lusamine.

“Yes mother,” said Lillie before she walked over to Lusamine.

“Lillie, Lillie don't,” said Selene as she tried to reach out to her, but the girl kept walking like she wasn't even there. 

“This is bad. We need to retreat and regroup,” said Blue. He was able to reach up and grab Lurantis’ leg and throw the Pokemon away. Incineroar took this as a cue to knock the other two Pokemon away. 

“How did you escape?” questioned Lusamine, but Blue didn't answer as he pulled up Gladion and held Pikachu.

“Selene, we have to fall back,” said Blue.

“No! I can't leave her with this monster,” snapped Selene. Her Incineroar, however, grabbed her.

“Let's go,” said Gladion as they ran out of the room.

“No. Lillie. LILLIEEEEEEEE!” yelled Selene as they ran.

Chapter Text

Chapter 3: The Story of Lillie and Selene

Blue, Gladion and Incineroar ran through the mansion until they went into a room far away from where Lusamine was.

“We should be safe here, but Lusamine's Pokemon will be looking for us,” said Blue as he collapsed onto the ground and pulled some potions out of his bag. Selene wiggled her way out of Incineroar’s arms and stormed over to Gladion.

“Why did you run? My Lillie is still with that monster,” she snapped, but Gladion didn't flinch.

“We were in no position to fight. Without his Pikachu, we would have lost,” said Gladion as Pikachu woke up and sparked. 

“How can a single Pikachu be that strong?” questioned Selene.

“Actually, it wouldn't matter. Lusamine must have some kind of device that is draining both mine and Pikachu’s power. She hates me, so she's planning to finish me here,” said Blue as he sighed. 

“That's bad. Ash, we can't do this without you,” said Gladion. 

“I'm the champion of Alola. I'm plenty strong,” snapped Selene. Before Gladion could respond, Blue walked over to her.

“And I'm the World Champion. It doesn't matter how strong your Incineroar is, you can't beat all six of Lusamine's Pokemon at once. You know that, I can see it in your eyes,” he said gently. As he spoke, Selene began to tear up. 

“I, I have to save her. I can't let another Lusamine hurt her,” she said as she thought back to her adventure. 

When Selene moved to Alola, she was excited to start her journey in this new region. In order to do that, she must meet Professor Kukui. 

But she wasn't expecting to meet a beautiful blonde haired girl. Selene stood in shock with a blush on her cheeks. 

“Are you going to keep staring at me?” Lillie snapped at her. 

“You're beautiful,” Selene said, turning Lillie's cheeks red. In this moment, Selene learned something very important about herself.

She definitely isn't straight. 

Selene and Lillie were sitting under the stars, their hands held together at their side. 

“Selene, why do you like me?” Lillie asked her. Selene looked at her girlfriend and cupped her cheek.

“I don't just like you, I love you,” she said, making Lillie gasp. The blonde teared up before wrapping her arms around Selene.

“I love you too,” said Lillie before they kissed for the first time.

Selene and her Incineroar bursted through a door right in time to see Lusamine slap Lillie. 

“GET AWAY FROM HER!” yelled Selene as she ran at Lusamine. But before she could reach her, a Nihilego came from an ultra wormhole.

“SELENE, LOOK OUT!” yelled Lillie, but it was too late. The strange Pokemon had grabbed Selene, and was bringing her through the portal before it closed.

“NO, TAKE ME. YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO TAKE ME!” cried out Lusamine, but Selene was gone. Lillie laid there in shock as she couldn't look away from where her girlfriend was taken. 

“Fine. I guess I'll just take my anger out on you,” said Lusamine as she stepped towards Lillie.

“Silvally, protect her,” called out Gladion as the beast killer jumped between Lillie and her mother.

“Golisopod, cut this witch down,” said Guzma as his bug jumped at the mad woman before her Bewear blocked the attack. 

Lillie, Gladion and Guzma were standing in Ultra Space, facing down an army of Nihilego. 

“Nebby, use iron head,” called out Lillie. The massive sun lion charged up the attack before launching forward and plowing through the space jellyfish. Selene was trapped within one of the Nihilego, her head completely consumed.

“Lillie, help me,” she begged as she used all of her strength to weakly call out to her. The Nihilego that was attached to her shot a devastating attack at Lillie.

“KID!” yelled Guzma as he pushed her out of the way and took the attack himself. 

“GUZMA!” yelled Lillie as Gladion ran over to them.

“Lillie, save her,” her brother said. Lillie hesitated, but nodded. She jumped onto Nebby’s before the lion charged into the heart of the storm of Nihilego. 

Blue rested a hand on her shoulder.

“We will save her. In fact, I have a plan on how to do just that,” he said. 

Chapter Text

Chapter 4: The Fight For Lillie 

Lurantis walked through the halls of the mansion, looking for its prey. But before it could, it was hit in the back by an incredibly powerful fire attack, making it fall to the ground. Selene and her Incineroar stood over the unconscious Pokemon.

“One down, five to go,” she said with a dark smile.

Salazzle was stalking around, trying to pick up on the scent of her opponents. 

“Hey ugly, here I am,” called out Gladion before he ran down some other halls. Salazzle ran after him until they came to a dead end. But unfortunately for the Pokemon, Pikachu was waiting.

“PIKA!” yelled Pikachu before he trapped Salazzle in an electro web. 

“Good job buddy,” said Blue before he punched the trapped Pokemon in the head, knocking it out. 

When Selene met back up with Blue and Gladion, Blue was tapping some metal pieces to his knuckles as Gladion was swinging around two small metal rods.

“What are you two doing?” she asked. 

“Getting ready to fight. We can't use our Pokemon, so we're going to fight ourselves,” said Blue as he finished taping the metal. 

“But, that isn't right,” said Selene, although her voice was failing her.

“Look, we already lost our Lillie. We're not letting you lose your Lillie,” said Gladion, catching Selene off guard.

“I'm sorry. If you guys were as close as Lillie was to her brother, I bet that must have been a lot,” said Selene, making Gladion smile slightly.

“Trust me kiddo, we've seen some pretty crazy stuff. But one thing that's for sure, we always fight until the end,” said Blue before he waved them along. They ran back to the basement and bursted into the room with Lusamine.

“Of course you showed up. Why can't you just leave me alone with my daughter!” snapped Lusamine as Lillie was standing in a large cylinder with an abnormal smile on her face.

“Because she's not your daughter,” said Blue, making Lusamine shake with anger.

“KILL THEM ALL!” she yelled as Absol, Froslass, Bewear and Milotic charged at them. 

“Pikachu, use thunderbolt on Milotic,” said Blue as he tossed Pikachu into the air.

“CHUUUU!” yelled out the lighting mouse. The attack struck the beautiful water type, knocking it out.

“Impossible. Your power should be drained,” said Lusamine in shock as Blue caught a fist from Bewear. 

“I think you underestimated just how powerful we are,” said Blue as he pushed Bewear back. Incineroar was fighting Absol as Pikachu was fighting Froslass, leaving Bewear to Blue and Gladion. 

“It doesn't matter. You're too late to stop me now,” said Lusamine as she pressed a button, and the cylinder that Lillie was in closed. 

“NO!” yelled Selene as she saw a single year all from Lillie's eyes. 

Bewear tried to punch Blue, but he slid out of the way before punching the bear in the gut, which allowed Gladion to hit it in the face. 

“Bewear, us revenge,” said Lucamine. Blue and Gladion saw Bewear's ears glow briefly.

“Shi-” said Gladion before they were both punched away. 

“ASH, GLADION!” exclaimed Selene as Incineroar slammed Absol into the ground. Blue slowly got back up, laughing.

“Lusamine, you didn't really think that would work, did you?” he questioned as his body shook and some of his cuts began to bleed. Lusamine stood in shock as aura began to swirl around Blue.

“WHAT, IMPOSSIBLE!” she yelled, but this just made Blue laugh even more. 

“You thought you were so smart by draining my aura. But you forgot one thing,” said Blue as he began to walk up to Bewear.

“USE HAMMER ARM!” yelled Lusamine. The mighty bear brought its arm down, but Blue simply held out his hand and caught the attack. 

“I'll die before I lose another Lillie,” said Blue as he charged up his fist before punching Bewear. The bear flew back and shattered the cylinder that Lillie was in, freeing the girl.

“NO!” yelled Lusamine.

“CHUUUUUUUUUUUUU!” cried out Pikachu as he shocked his opponents until they fell unconscious. Gladion slowly stood up as Selene ran over to Lillie.

“Lillie, baby, are you ok?” questioned Selene as she helped her girlfriend up.

“S-Selene. H-help me,” begged Lillie before her smile returned.

“It doesn't matter. She's still under my control,” said Lusamine before Gladion grabbed her and slammed her into her machines.

“SNAP OUT OF IT MOTHER! Can't you see that this is wrong!” he snapped at her, but Lusamine didn't answer.

“Lillie, please. You have to remember me. You're my everything,” said Selene as she took Lillie's hand. It looked as though Lillie was trying to fight through the control.

“Maybe this will spark your memory,” said Selene before she grabbed Lillie's head and kissed her. 

“NO!” yelled Lusamine, but it was too late. It took a moment, but Lillie kissed back. When the two broke apart, Lillie couldn't help but smile. 

“I love you,” said Lillie, bringing tears to Selene’s eyes.

“I love you too,” said Selene as she hugged her girlfriend. 

“NO NO NO!” yelled Lusamine as she tried to fight past her son, but couldn't. Blue limped over to Lucamine, standing over her with a glare.

“Lusamine, I know you're hurting, but you went too far. Your Lillie is gone, and ripping another Lillie from the ones she loves is wrong,” he said. But the once reasonable woman was long gone.

“NO NO NO NO NO!” she screamed until she passed out.

Chapter Text

Chapter 5: Epilogue 

Officer Jenny had Lusamine in handcuffs, but it was clear that she would be exchanging those cuffs for a straight jacket soon. Whatever was left of her after losing her husband and daughter was gone now. Ultra Necrozma made sure of it. 

Blue, Gladion, Selene and Lillie were standing outside of the mansion.

“So you're saying that neither of you have any idea who he is?” questioned Gladion as he pointed at Blue, but the two girls shook their heads.

“Nope, not a clue. Why should we?” questioned Selene, making Gladion's jaw drop.

“This isn't our first romp when it comes to the Pokeverse. We were under the impression that every Universe had an Ash,” said Blue.

“Well, maybe Selene is a female version of you,” said Lillie, but Blue shook his head. 

“She doesn't have a Pikachu or these marks,” said Blue as he pointed to the iconic marks on his cheeks. 

“Besides, her name would be Ashley,” said Gladion.

“Well, it doesn't matter. Ash, can you get us home?” asked Selene. 

“I think so,” said Blue as he activated his watch and scanned the two girls. Once he did that, he was able to open an Ultra Wormhole.

“There you go,” said Blue, making the girls smile.

“I really can't thank you guys enough for helping me save my Lillie,” said Selene, making the boys smile.

“We know how it feels to lose a Lillie. So please, protect her,” said Blue. Selene held her girlfriend’s hand and smiled.

“Don't worry, I will,” she said before they walked through the portal. Blue and Gladion stood alone, each with a thoughtful expression.

“Ash, something doesn't feel quite right,” said Gladion, making Blue sigh.

“I know.”
