Something seemed to come to Apollo’s head. “Athena, what’s the last thing you remember?”
She actually thought about that. “I actually don’t remember much? My brain feels scrambled. I think I remember training with Pallas a few days ago. You know? The mortal? She pushed me into a lake. I made a joke that not everyone were the granddaughters of Poseidon, and Triton asked why we were soaked, and-“
“..That’s enough, thank you.” Apollo interrupted her in a quieter voice than before. Athena didn’t think much of it.

Athena is lucky she made it out of the games alive (well, not whatever the closest thing death was to gods). Maybe she could’ve been just a smidgen more lucky, though. Just enough so that the lightning strike had charred her brain a little to the left, and hadn’t made her memory (and mental age) collapse in on itself.
News flash, gods aren’t particularly the best at babysitting.
