Chapter 1: Initialize Help

Chapter Text

Rowan was an okay kid growing up.  At least, they were, until the accident. There was nothing they could do to keep their parents from splitting up, even though they tried. One weekend however, Their grandma decided to take them on a fun little trip to Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex. Rowan hardly had any friends, so they ended up going on a one on one trip.

When they got there, Rowan immediately wanted to check everything out. This was all so exciting for them, and they wanted to soak everything in. Their grandma had never heard of this place before Rowan's older sibling recommended it, so she decided to buy tickets for the two of them.

Being a 12 year old, Rowan was naturally curious. So when it came time to go inside, they were practically exploding with excitement.  The second they stepped in to the building and were greeted with a warm yet aggressive welcome from a map bot, it felt like they were floating on air. They had seen tv commercials for this place before, but they never dreamed of actually being there.

"Hello! Please take this map," one shouted, startling Rowan's grandma. She reluctantly snatched it, and began to intently read it. "Thank you! Please enjoy," it said before scurrying away to find someone else to harass.

"Hey Grammy? I think I'm gonna go explore," they quietly mentioned.

"Yeah, ok, I'm gonna go find something to drink," their grandma said as she wondered off to find somewhere to get booze.

While they wondered the bustling halls of the Pizzaplex, something caught their eye. A large sign that said, 'The Superstar Daycare'. They immediately ran for the slide that led there.

Once Rowan had entered the daycare area, they were immediately entranced. The bright colors of the balls in the ballpit mixed with the primary tones of the play place overwhelmed them to the point of a minimal meltdown, and they began talking themselves through the overwhelmed feeling.

"Oh boy. Okay, it's all gonna be okay," they said as they put on their noise-cancelling headphones on. A tear trickled down their face as they ran to hide from the other kids running around.

As they sat crouched down in the play area, they began to sob and wondered why they were such a bad kid.

'God, I know it was my fault that our parents got divorced. If I wasn't such a shitty kid and I had just done my chores, I bet that they would've stayed together. Plus, Dad probably hates me because I don't have very good grades and I can't be as good in school as my older sibling. Indigo has everything, and I'm stuck being the middle child,' they thought to themself as they began to cry even harder.

They rolled up their sleeve and gazed upon the scars from when they were going through a really rough patch, and they wondered whether or not they should make those white marks red again.

"Hey kiddo, is everything alright?" a robotic yet sweet voice asked. Sun had come to check out what was happening.

"Oh, yeah, sorry," they sniffled as they wiped the remaining tears off of their nose.

Sun sat down next to the crying kid and gently rubbed their back.

"Wanna have a can of Fizzy Faz?" he asked, trying to lighten the mood. They nodded, and he cracked the can open.

As they took a small sip, Sun had taken out a coloring book and a brand-new pack of crayons. He began to color, and offered Rowan a crayon and a coloring sheet. They reluctantly accepted.

"Let's go over to the coloring station," Sun suggested. As they both stood up, Rowan grabbed Sun in a tight hug as they sniffled out their last few tears.

"Thank you, Sun," they said. He simply smiled.
