Etched In Blood — [TPB] Prophecies Untold

Summary:

-Both stories are officially on INDEFINITE HIATUS-

WARRIORS / WARRIOR CATS STORY INCLUDING A HUMAN WHAT-IF.

Amongst the stars, there was a prophecy that wasn't announced out to Spottedleaf and Bluestar, but in this timeline, it happened. Starclan recited to her, "Thou afflicted, he is a star-struck warrior who will etch hope, tenacity, and courage into constellations." That one cat wants to be a "hero" and save everyone he possibly knows in the books, but it comes with a deep cost... Does he have what it takes to have so much potential?

This has been made in Warrior cats classic series, "The Prophecies Begin" book series where a reincarnated human-turned-cat takes place.

Chapter 1: Allegiances Volume 1

Notes:

Author note:  I have worked upon mistakes through-out both stories.

As you can see in ALL the chapters of both stories, I'm not very familiar with much plot, quoting, or there is gonna be minor grammar problems. Helping me improve will give this a better view and writing!

This focuses more on Gallant than other chapters, but you will have some POV's of certain characters in the future.

Keep in mind to give me constructive criticism, I appreciate it.

Prologue - Awakening of Twin Stars

...

Thunderclan began to work normally in their routines, as Riverclan is doing their business, and the clans separately discuss Sunningrocks, ready to mark their territory. Thunderclan are the first to arrive there, and they set up their own borders.

Their leaders, Crookedstar and Bluestar, had planned to get Sunningrocks.

Riverclan and their patrol had been trekking through the bushes and swimming over the river, before Riverclan cats spot Thunderclan and their familiar faces. Riverclan had arrived shortly after Thunderclan did their border marks, and it seemed like they were late.

"What are you doing here, fox-hearts?" Leopardfur meows, as she stands up to examine them.

"Were simply claiming our territory, Leopardfur." Mousefur tells as she gives her a scowl.

They eventually broke into a battle with resignation of giving up their peaceful strategy.

Riverclan didn't want it to end up like this, but they had no choice but to take the territory by force.

The Riverclan and Thunderclan patrol fought at Sunningrocks, trying to get by and meet ends, and the 2 patrols were battling each other for some silly reason. But to them, it's basically everything, especially for their clans.

They were all under stress, and there was too much tension.

"Oakheart, how dare you and your filthy fish clan hunt in Thunderclan territory?!" Tigerclaw yowled in anger as he swats at a few Riverclan cats. The Thunderclan patrol tries to fend off the building up Riverclan patrol, but it's starting to get more heated as time passes.

"Tch.. After tonight Tigerclaw, Sunningrocks will belong to Riverclan, it will only be another hunting ground!" The brown warrior hisses as he fights fiercely like none other.

The Riverclan cats are starting to overpower the Thunderclan patrol, and Redtail rushes alongside Tigerclaw to aid him in battle, but it's clear their trying to win a losing battle...

"Tigerclaw! There are too many Riverclan warriors, Thunderclan must retreat!" Redtail mews, looking around the hissing and scratching cats.

Tigerclaw tries to respond, but Oakheart quickly jumps him and they get in a rough scratching fight. Redtail aids his fellow warrior, and they scratch up Oakheart, making Oakheart wince with pain.

In the midst of battle, a boulder slips off one of Sunningrocks but dangerous cliff peaks, and it crushes Oakheart, bones shattering in the clearing. Tigerclaw jumps back and comes down, before he heard yowling from his fellow warrior Mousefur, so he quickly rushes off to help Mousefur.

Redtail stares at Oakheart's crushed body. Fresh copper-scented blood is in the air, and it's not just Oakheart's, but many of the cats around that are injured. Then, Redtail yowls, "Oakheart is dead! We need to retreat as soon as possible!"

"Not yet, Redtail." Tigerclaw yowls, looking ahead at the Riverclan cats with a stern expression and pinned back ears, as he had previously saved Mousefur, and now he's panting with some beads of sweat.

Tigerclaw and some of the other fellow warriors wouldn't give up, which made Redtail sigh and decided to be kept near his fellow warriors.

Some of them silence, but it's quickly riled up again as the Riverclan and Thunderclan cats gather. The Riverclan cats prepare for more fights, hissing with their ears pinned back.

They all examine Oakheart's body, knowing they can't get his cold, mangled body out of this heavy boulder. "We can't get him out, he's stuck." Stonefur says, looking at the others.

They all start to speak to one another, and the Riverclan cats take a breather. "At least we got Sunningrocks to ourselves now, that's what matters." One of them speak up, and they all agree with the words of hope.

The 2 patrols fight for as long as a day and a half, and they fiercely fight with sharpened claws and fangs, and it gets a little bloody. Thunderclan was slowly winning the battle, and someone took their chance.

"Ravenpaw, rush back to camp now! Send a message!" Tigerclaw says, as Ravenpaw tries to run as fast as his legs can take him, but he was practically walking. Ravenpaw quickly looked back, to see Redtail being attacked by none other but...

Tigerclaw.

Spottedleaf and Bluestar were discussing and talking about their situation. "Thunderclan has not been defeated in it's own territory since I became leader. These are difficult times for us Spottedleaf."

"The season of newleaf is late, and there have been fewer kits. If Thunderclan is to survive, we must have new warriors." Bluestar meows to Spottedleaf.

They both step out of the leaders den, almost ready to leave, and then, Spottedleaf notices something off about the night sky...

Amongst the stars, 2 prophecies were spoken, and it was shared with the Thunderclan leader and medicine cat, Bluestar and Spottedleaf. "Bluestar, look!" Spottedleaf yips.

"It must be a prophecy, Spottedleaf!" Bluestar exclaims, looking above at the meteor-struck field of stars that were blooming with starry energy!

"Spottedleaf, what does it-" Bluestar is cut off as Spottedleafs interested expression recites these words stolen by Starclan.

"Fire alone... can save our clan!" Spottedleaf says, Bluestar tries to speak, but then, Spottedleaf is briefly reminded of another prophecy, one unlike anyone has experienced...

Her face goes slightly grim as she recites words supposedly from Starclan.

"Thou afflicted, he is a star-struck warrior who will pass on hope, tenacity, and courage into constellations." Spottedleaf meows, as Bluestar looks at her with a slightly giddy expression, possibly from their clan, or at least what they think is their clan receiving 2 prophecies.

Rusty was hunting mice in his dream, supposedly somewhere around the forest. He was always curious, and he took his fathers adventurous feeling, which made him restless most days, which is only fueling his curiosity.

As he bit into a piece of mice, he immediately stopped dreaming and took a small chunk of the dry kittypet food pebbles, which isn't exactly tasty or filling. "Ugh, dreaming of mice, again..." Rusty mutters to himself.

As he ate, the twolegs did their business on cleaning the house, which was common for Rusty. The vacuum was quite a comforting sound, and the birds chirping outside the house window was music to his ears. Then, he is reminded of his annoying collar bell, which tinkers and clinks when he walks around.

Thou, his surroundings were normal as well, which bored him and slightly annoyed him. Rusty wishes he was stepping on grass, which is soft for his paws more than this twoleg nests hard floor, and he also likes to imagine the leaves falling all around him, like it was Autumn season.

He mutters to himself once again, "Hmph, I'm still daydreaming... I should just go outside for some fresh air." As he proceeds outside, he is greeted with fresh earthy air. It had rained earlier, and he smells the true wild.

Rusty then gets a curious thought, and that thought is about him going into the mysterious forest he keeps dreaming about and examining.

It thrills him to be outside, and its like the forest is calling to him. Then, Rusty spots Smudge, who is currently sitting on the wood fence, Smudges eyes relaxed as he thinks of something in particular in mind.

"Hey Smudge! What'cha doin' up there?" Rusty says, calling out to Smudge.

Smudge lightly shakes his thoughts away and he looks down with a pleased, calm expression. "Ah, Rusty! What is it? I'm just admiring the view, and my thoughts, you know!" Smudge meows, as he slowly gets up and stretches his limbs.

Smudge yawns, and so does Rusty. "Oh, I was just feeling something, I wanted to share it with you." Rusty exclaims, and he hops up and sits down, watching the forest.

"Your seriously not thinking of going into the forest, right?" Smudge mews, as he looks at Rusty with a surprised expression.

"To be honest, I do want to go in there." Rusty says, as he looks at Smudge.

"Woah, are you sure?!" Smudge says, even more surprised than before. Rusty nods, and he looks into the forest, which has some sunlight in there, but it is quite dark.

"You do realize that those cats eat live rabbits for breakfast?" Smudge says, looking at him. Then, Rusty's sister, Princess, hops onto the fence with the two.

"Hey, what ya both talking about?" Princess says, as she looks at her brother.

"Oh, we were talking about Rusty going into the forest, since he's your brother." Smudge says, then Princess replies, "Hey, brother, don't you know what Henry says about those cats?"

"Yeah, they literally eat live rabbits for breakfast, and they sharpen their claws on old bones! And then-" Smudge is cut off by Rusty. "Oh my stars, I'm just going for a look, okay?"

"Hey, brother, just be careful out there, okay?" Princess mewls, and she looks worrisome for her brother. Rusty nods, and he walks into the forest with a serious and calm stride.

As some time passes, Rusty spots a few mice, and he gets quite nervous as he gets in a sluggish crouch. He spots the mouse with his emerald orbs.

Rusty hesitates, and he does a clumsy but somewhat fine pounce. The mouse already reacts faster than him, and it runs off into the woods.

"Darn this mouse!" Rusty quietly mutters to himself, before he hears rustling in the bushes.

Rusty looks around, wondering what or who is making the sounds, and he catches a glimpse of a black figure with a face that only leaves a gaping, large mouth with bloody teeth.

A horrific shiver is sent down his spine, and he then notices that the black figure wasn't the one making the noise in the forest.

He gets jumped easily, as his mind pictures the black figure.

"Maybe I shouldn't have ventured here, these aren't cats... Not at all!" Firepaw thinks to himself, panicking.

"Show yourself-" Rusty is cut-off and quickly pounced upon. As he lets out a hiss he quickly scrambles to his feet, only to be tackled by a gray cat similar of his size.

Rusty quickly kicks the gray cat off of him, and he once again gets his bearings straight and he dashes off, but gets chased.

"He's still chasing me... If he won't stop, then I might as well face him." Rusty mutters in his head as he keeps running. Then, he turns around and he faces the gray cat, only to be met with another crash.

"Oof!" The gray fur-ball grunted.

"Ouch... You put up a good fight for a tame little kittypet!" The gray cat said, as Rusty replies with slight resentment, "Kitty-what?"

"Oh, don't worry about it, but don't you know its dangerous in the forest?" The gray cat meowed, as he continues, "Also, my name is Graypaw. Nice to meet you!"

"Alright wildcat, what do you want? If your the most dangerous thing around here, I think I can handle this forest with ease." Rusty hisses, watching Graypaw intently.

"Me, oh, no no! I'm not even a full warrior yet!" Graypaw tells him, and Rusty calms down for a moment.

"Still, if I was a fully grown warrior, I'd have given you some real wounds to think about!" Graypaw continues as Rusty watches him, "Anyway, its not really worth to hurt you anyway, your not from any clan, nor do you smell like a loner."

"Wait, clans? So there is more of you?" Rusty says, slightly confused with his words.

"Hmm, you must have heard of the other clans, right?" Graypaw says, a little surprised.

Rusty replies with a light head shake. Rusty's tail slowly drifts in the air, and he relaxes.

"Alright, well, if I put it together, there is the fierce and honorable Thunderclan, sleek and powerful Riverclan, wise and swift Windclan, and the proud and cruel Shadowclan-" Rusty's expression is the feeling of boredom and surprise mixed together, until...

Graypaw is cut off by sudden rustling again. His ears perk up and he quickly looks at Rusty.

"Who is that?" Rusty says, a little anxious as he looks around, recalling that... Creature he saw earlier.

"Shoo! You need to go, there's more warriors coming!" Graypaw says, and he pushes Rusty, who is too slow to leave after his encounter with Graypaw, soon meets the Thunderclan leader and warrior himself.

"Graypaw, enough." Bluestar halts him, and she looks down at him with a stern, calculating expression. "What are you doing so close to twolegplace? And who.. Is this?" Bluestar meows.

"O-oh, he's just a kittypet, Bluestar! His name is Rusty!" Graypaw mewls to Bluestar, looking at her with a slightly resentful expression. "He isn't any harm to any of us..!" He continues. Rusty tries to get Graypaw's paw away from his head. "H-hey!"

Graypaw speaks up, "Woah, show some respect, kittypet, or else Bluestar and my mentor will have to put you in your place."

"Graypaw, thank you." Bluestar says, and she puts an end to his shenanigans. "Anyway... Rusty, I've seen you checking out the forest when I was patrolling a few times." Bluestar meows, looking down at Rusty.

"Turns out, you used your wits to defend yourself from Graypaw, and reacted quite bravely for a kittypet. Well done." Bluestar exclaims, recalling Graypaw and Rusty's encounter.

"... Bluestar, with all due respect, this is still a kittypet, you know." Lionheart says, looking at Rusty, who's ears are slightly pinned back.

"Look, all I wanted was a mouse! There must be enough spare mice around-" Bluestar speaks up in authority, "There is never enough, Rusty! How dare you hunt for sport where we struggle to survive?!"

Rusty looks even more scolded, and he looks down. "I'm sorry, I didn't know it was like that for you. I won't hunt here again, I promise."

Lionheart and Bluestar exchange glances, and Bluestar sighs. "Perhaps you might. I have a deal, but you better think and take it seriously." Bluestar says.

"What kind of deal are you talking about..?" Graypaw asks first, looking at her. "Rusty, would you like to join our clan, Thunderclan? You could train to become a warrior, like Graypaw here."

"But, Bluestar! Kittypet's can't become warriors!" Graypaw replies, as Bluestar speaks up again. "I am offering him a choice, and a chance on this."

"Bluestar, are you sure-" Lionheart sighs, and Rusty looks at Bluestar. "Thunderclan needs more warriors." Bluestar quietly says, and Lionheart lightly nods.

"Rusty, you cannot live with a paw in both worlds, if you wish to join us, you will have to leave the easy life you have now. The forest is cruel and dangerous, and the clan demands great loyalty and hard work."

"But in return, The strength and fellowship of Thunderclan will always be with you, even when you hunt alone. You will live with us, you will learn our way of life, you will train to become a warrior."

"Anyway, we will give you time to consider our deal, Rusty." Bluestar mews, as she signals Graypaw and Lionheart to come with her.

Rusty is now left with the lingering deal of joining Thunderclan. He turns around, and reluctantly leaves the forest, back to his twolegs.

Only Starclan and himself holds his fate and flames.

"More dumped souls. Might as well banish them to where they can fend for themselves. They will fade away over time anyway, or if some creature eats them." One of the ? say, as they throw those spirits into who-knows-what, possibly hell or something more sinister.

The surroundings of this place is unmatched nothingness, the very darkness and the abyss, which is called limbo, where oblivion is, where eternal rests, where time speeds and slows.

Amongst the spirits around there comes a particular soul.

"Found another we can absorb." One of the ? speak, as the group of ? look at the soul. "You're right. Let's fancy this one up." One of them licks their red bloody lips, ready to absorb.

They come closer with hungry, defiling looks of horrific violence.

But before they can, a soul whispers to the brave being.

"I'll help you, Gallant. They are going to take you, flee now."

The green soul must be someone he knows.

As Gallant slowly realizes its his grandfather, he tries to help him.

Before the demonic creatures could snatch the brave soul, his grandfather pushes Gallant.

As Gallant gets pushed down, he descended through rainy clouds.

Gallant couldn't see, but he swore he could imagine the green soul being being ripped into oblivion from the sounds of those mutilated chewing.

he slowly venture down into the dark forest, the green soul is torn apart, and its screams are drowned out with the sounds resembling a ghost fading with a blow of air.

As Gallant was slowly falling, he tried to feel any emotion, but it simply blows away. It feels agonizing without emotions, so he tries to accompany himself with his drifting thoughts.

"Why would they want to absorb me... What could possibly absorbing gain them..? I didn't know resurrection or the afterlife was real." Gallant thought as he was swayed by the wind.

He wonders what in the stars above just happened.

Gallant must've been banished from the insouciant dimension.

Even though he is limited, he knows he could feel remorse, horror, and a sense of hopelessness from below.

As he descends down and meets the physical and spiritual world, of the Dark Forest.

He is mildly surprised, but his state limits his emotions, and he quickly gets restricted from emotional thoughts.

He explores, and time passes faster than usual... It makes him dizzy, not to mention he isn't in a physical body, which makes things worse.

He doesn't get to walk on grass or touch, or even sense. All he could do was hear. Maybe that's what all souls are attributed. He couldn't see, and he couldn't feel anything but a quiet, soft warmth of his invisible soul.

A week passes, no sign of any physical body, and he almost got eaten on the way of wandering in god-knows what. He could have sworn he went through someone's bloodied, ruined, depraved corpse.

Someone who can't be recognized from someone else's sheer violence!

He pushed through, still thinking of the past, trauma of his human life, and all he wants do to, is to give up.

But his unnatural determination and past human morals keep him pushing.

Another week passes, his soul was beginning to fade over time, from seemingly endless wandering. He was starting to think he was truly lost.

In this vile land, where others kill and eat each other for the joy and survival of it all. This is what the dark forest is, he is in a nightmare, what many fear.

As he explores, he tries to imagine what is in front of him, and since he has the ability to hear, he uses his utmost abilities to navigate this nasty place.

Another half-moon was taken off the calendar, and he finally senses something different...

Something in the distance that empowers him to keep going. He recognizes it, and the only thing that can describe it— is life.

He escapes the withered and cruel, cursed forest, and Gallant is relieved to sense actual green grass, and lush forest that is ahead of him.

Though he can't feel or sense anything, he knows if he had a sense of smell, he could remember the smell of the forest and comforting rain.

He starts to explore this new, comforting and strong forest. He comes across an unconscious cat, he knows its presence is there, and he approaches it with less somberness and more life, and hope.

And finally, he reaches what he is destined to be, what he is supposed to be, his physical body is found, after so many weeks, after almost 2 moons, he finds his true body.

He can hear dripping water from a small stream, and a few birds chirping. It seems like he is in a damp cave with a light source of glinting water from the sunlight outside.

He bumps around the solid and chilly cave, before finding a physical body hidden within the natural grotto.

The body absorbs Gallant's former being with gusto, then, he comes to life.

He finally gets his senses back, and he opens his sparkling green eyes to see gray, white, blue, and many other colors. He can feel, he can properly hear, he can smell, he has every sense he used to have when he was human.

He feels quite warm for a previously subconscious body, especially being in a cold cave. "Ugh... I can speak now, but.. I'm a cat." He mutters, looking at his glossy white fur. Even though the cave is bright, he can see through darkness like a normal cat.

He receives a pounding headache, and he instinctively reaches for his aching head with his paw.

It's all overwhelming to him, especially after just waking up prior to nightmares and what he had been through.

He feels a mix of rage, sorrow, nostalgia, and worry. He takes a look at his physical state, pondering if he is okay or not, as he can't distinct pain like he would as a human.

He looks into a puddle, and finds his face and his features.

"I'm Alive... Hng..." He mutters to himself as he feels his head with his paw.

As he gets out of this cave of this unknown slumber, he is greeted with the warmth of the sun.

He quickly stretches and looks around the forest. The leaves and green moss hang from some trees with a bird flying off. He feels the soft wind blowing with destiny.

It makes him nervous and lonely to know he's on his own.

He is recalled of what happened to his grandfather that had just saved him from vicious creatures, but what are those creatures' goals?

He knows this is just the beginning of a new era, and he looks at his paw, then he spots a mouse scurry off.

He's ready to save them and try his best, even if it includes a life full of pain. He wants to give them all the life they deserve.

Gallant takes his final step out of the natural grotto, and he looks around, then back at his paw again.

A single tear flows down his cheek, with him muttering under his breath, "I don't want to be here. Why can't I just rest for just a single day?"

As he looks up at the sky, he feels a pang of longing. His journey is calling to him, as he shouldn't stop now.

... As this is who we call the forests second soon-to-be savior, GALLANT.

Chapter 1 - The Wind Chimes in Destiny

...

As Gallant got up and trekked out and from the moss cave, He noticed one thing in particular.

The smell of territory, which caught his feline scent-glands. He inhaled a fresh breath of air, and the strong senses of a cat enveloped him.

He slowly took a nice stretch, and he moves onto the forest ahead.

He looks around with his keen eyes as he pads through the slightly dense forest, and he spots Windclan territory with its border scent. Somewhat, he can recognize the scent as Windclan.

"The perks of being a cat..." Gallant mutters as he plays with a big rock that barely fits in the palm of his paw.

He quickly rethinks for a moment before going ahead.

"Should I really walk in this place?" Gallant thought to himself, as he recalls his oldened past. He remembers Windclan, the fast cats with great agility, which are able to hunt rabbits with ease.

Gallant also remembers some territory on in the books, and he must be close to the falls.

He also reminded himself what he has now become, a cat with distinctive pair of green colored eyes. His eyes look like their from another land, maybe something more.

He flexes his paw, finding it quite astonishing. "Why have I chose to become a cat? And out of all cats, I was thrown down here." Gallant thought, as he looks at himself again.

He notices he's just being confided in himself instead of doing something useful.

"Where can I even go at this point?" Gallant thinks to himself, as he looks around with a clueless expression, as if he though he was circling in one area.

Gallant gets a move-on, and he explores past Windclan territory in utter silence.

Some time passes during his trip down. It's almost sunhigh, and he yawns.

He gets down from the mountain peak and swiftly stops himself from tripping down.

As he moves downstream, he finds something quite lackluster through the thin roots.

"Great, it's a badger..." Gallant thought, as his nerves spike up in response to a rugged badger. No, it was his feline instinct. He isn't on top of the food chain anymore, meaning his isn't human.

Though, The badger seems busy feeding off of a sod-looking deer carcass, maybe it's so hungry to the point it's eating something so rancid like that.

"Damn it, I can't fight a badger, especially when I'm a cat... I need to go!" Gallant cautiously ponders in his head as he quickly and quietly speed-walks off into another part of the forest.

As he catches his breath after that scary encounter, he wanders quite far into the damp forest, going down the nonetheless, steep hills. As he gets down, he finds a soft plant with fuzzy silver-green leaves.

He looks at it in slight surprise, but he scoops it up just in case.

"I might have seen this plant before. I'll keep it for now..." Gallant thought, as he proceeds to pick it up in his jaws.

Gallant makes his way through some wet bushes from the rain, and smells something fishy, like it's from a riverine.

Riverclan territory!

As he looks past the river bank, he doesn't spot any cat, but just some standard, colorful fish in the river.

"Hmph, nothing. I might as well check Shadowclan or Thunderclan then." Gallant mutters, as he squints his emerald eyes for anything in the distance.

As he scans around for nothing in sight in the forest, he keeps on walking for a while as he starts to feel his paws getting light.

"Well... This looks promising." Gallant questions to himself, looking ahead at an old structure.

He gets over the old twoleg bridge that was once ahead of him and goes past Fourtrees to find the Thunderpath.

He spots birds, squirrels, and a few mice as he walks past a few hills, before moving into Shadowclan territory. As he goes through the dark parts of the territory, he finds nothing once again.

His eyebrows slightly lower, and he tenses. "Nobody, except a few animals I ran into." Gallant mutters once again, as he looks around. Spider webs, and just some twigs.

As he gets a natural feeling of loneliness in his human nature, but this feline he is now says otherwise. As so, he had read about felines and their traits in his past before.

"From what I've been wandering through, this forest is very... Dystopian." Gallant warily wonders.

Right after that feeling, his thoughts wander.

He thinks about the Warriors books he used to read, and he tries to piece together what is happening.

He gathers his thoughts, and decides to patch up the soft plant he had gathered earlier with some spider web and firm twigs, and he puts the patch of fuzzy plant into his fur, right beneath his fluffy chest.

"This will work for now." Gallant stuffs the patch of the fuzzy plant into his fur.

Gallant soon walks a little further into Shadowclan territory, and he wonders, "Why is it so... Quiet out here? Is this a coincidence?"

As he goes further into Shadowclan territory, he finally smells a few cats, that are apart of a Shadowclan patrol.

"No, this is a Shadowclan patrol! I really need to get out of here before I get in a bad situation..." Gallant quickly gathers his thoughts and runs off at nice speed, back into small uncharted territory in the forest.

"This part of the forest isn't so dark, and it has the sun out. Well, now I know that I'm not alone. But still, those cats are not friendly at all." Gallant quietly meows, as he keeps going until he finds his way into Thunderclan territory.

As he rethinks his strategy, he goes into Thunderclan territory, and he quickly gets the scent of more cats as well. "Nevermind, I shouldn't go into territory like this."

The brave loner spots two invading cats, clearly not from Thunderclan, and he gets in front of them.

"Who are you?" Gallant exclaims, as he stands up tall.

"Oh! W-what in the stars, your quite big for a young one." A she-cat with black fur said, as she looks past him, and looks back at him with a bewildered look in her purple eyes.

Gallant already gets quite afraid, and he steps back in clear unease.

"What are these two doing out here..? Are they clan cats?" Gallant had thought, and he cleared his throat.

"Nobody around, hmm? And you don't smell like a clan cat, but a loner." Another she-cat said, as they both halt their steps.

"I was going to say that, and I don't mean much harm." Gallant says, as he goes past the she-cat.

"Well, why are you out here then, young one?" One of them meows, as they examine him in a feline way, sniffing his rear.

Gallant feels a bit of embarrassment, but decides to relax despite the situation.

They catch his youthful scent, and the white-furred molly let's out a sigh. "Your too young to be here, whoever you are."

"Oh, I think I'm about 6 or 7 moons old, and sorry, my name is... Gallant." Gallant tells them, in a timid meow.

"Gallant, huh? Whatever you seem, you would either be very brave or be very mouse-brained to be walking through this forest alone." She meows, as she continues, "My name is Flower, and my friend here is Juniper, she's nice."

"Well, alright Flower." Gallant nods as he meows, and he stands up straight.

"Is anyone else around you know, or is it just us, kit?" Juniper quietly says, as she looks around in response, and she notices its almost sun-dawn.

"Nobody except me. And don't go into Thunderclan territory. Those wild cats still dangerous, you know." Gallant says, as the she-cats nod in unison.

"Yes, we know, Gallant." Flower says, as she thinks for a moment.

"There should be a twoleg place nearby, Gallant, if you want to stay. It should be... Over there." Juniper points in a direction with her paw, possibly east of Thunderclan.

"Anyway, don't worry, were kittypets, and we were just going for a stroll, but thanks for warning us Gallant, see you some day." The two she-cats go in another direction instead of Thunderclan.

They saunter off with no hurry as they chat together in the distance.

Gallant ignores the previous encounter as much as he can, and he works his way towards an inhabited twoleg place, where he actually finds some friendly kittypets that he shouldn't be afraid of.

He goes through the fence, feeling tired from all that wandering. Gallant takes a rest, and he looks at a few cats. They seem young, and they have a familiar look in their pelt.

"Hmm, whatever, I feel too sore and tired from walking in rough terrain almost... All day." Gallant mutters once he gets near a nice patch of twoleg fields. He lays down, and decides to rest as the moon slightly peeks over the horizon.

He reluctantly closes his eyes, ready for his first slumber, in moons.

He dreams of nothing but fish, quite frankly.

Shortly after, he wakes up quite groggily, but nonetheless, he stretches and gets himself up. He comes face to face with a kit, who seems quite fascinated with him.

"Hello mister, who are you? I've never seen you here before." The kit spoke, as pokes Gallants side.

Gallant slowly blinks as he focuses on what is in front of him.

He opens his jaws to speak.

"I'm Gallant, a sleepy loner... what is it?" Gallant meows as he rubs his eyes.

"Hey! my name is Dander, my mother tells me not to go into the forest because its scary, have you been in there?" Dander mews, as she bounces in excitement.

Gallant gets up, almost twice the size of the kit.

"Well, you should listen to your mother, Dander. She should know what she is doing." Gallant speaks up, as he yawns.

"Hmph, whatever Gallant. Oh, do you want to play with my friends? My mother isn't around, so she wouldn't mind!" Dander says, looking quite excited about having a new friend.

Wind chimes are heard in the distance not from afar, and he feels a sense of tranquil he has never felt in a long time.

... Gallant isn't even his actual name, it is just a nickname he had decided to go along with. His grandfather had always called him that, trying to cheer him up and make him the symbol of "Gallant," even if Gallant himself was a bit of a weakling.

Gallant relaxes, and he looks down at the kit with a small warm smile.

"Sure, I'll follow you Dander. Let's go." Gallant agrees, and he follows the golden-fluffed young cat.

As Gallant meets Dander's kit friends, he smiles a bit as he meets the new youngsters. Dander tells them their names are Berry, Francis, and River.

"Me and Water are littermates, so were siblings!" River says, as the kit stands up straight.

"Hello, Dander told me you were a big kit!" One of them says, as the four line up, and River mews, "right here, were gonna play tag together!"

"I remember playing tag when I was a kid. I loved it when I was little, but then I died from a kidnapper at the age of... 34." Gallant thought, as his thoughts wander once again.

As the kits were counting, he got his bearings and decided to run far, at least near the fence.

As soon as Gallant was near the fence, he held onto the fence so he can get leverage and a boost. He was watching Dander chase Francis, who was quite puffed out from running so much.

Though, Dander looked in the same condition, but she kept running quite fast for a small one.

Gallant sighed. "Maybe if I get closer they will play with me too. I'm bored anyway."

That is, until he looked behind him to find a black figure standing in the trees past the fence, Gallant quickly squinted and rubbed his eyes just to make sure that wasn't his brain playing tricks on him.

...

The black figure smiled, and it's whole face was a big sinister smile.

No eyes, no ears, no nose, just a big smile. A chill was sent down Gallant's spine, as this isn't normal, especially in the Warriors books.

Gallant's eyebrows lowered warily, and he knew something was going on, and it gave Gallant some fear.

The shadowy creature quickly crept away, and it disappeared.

"He had nothing to say... Do I look that bad to him?" Gallant thought, as he gets away from the fence after that sighting.

Gallant lightly shakes his head, and he goes back to playing with those kits. He walks up behind Dander, who is clearly it in the game of tag.

He sneaks up to Dander, and he says something behind her.

"Hey, Dander." Gallant says, as he jumps back just in case. "Ah! Oh, it's just you, Gallant." Dander mews, as she looks at him for a moment, in thought.

Before Gallant knows it, she quickly catches him off guard by tricking him into looking in a direction. "Look over there, Gallant!"

Dander lands on top of Gallant, and she smiles a bit. "Your it for tag, Gallant."

Gallant sighs, as he gets her off of him before she gets bolder with her actions. "Okay, okay, I'm it, Dander, you got me." Gallant softly remarked as he gets up and brushes himself off.

Dander still watches him, and Gallant quickly tags her with one swift swipe to her shoulder.

Dander gasps, and she gets back to chasing him in sly retaliation. Gallant runs off, as Berry laughs at Dander in the distance, with River

They keep playing until sunhigh, and Gallant gets introduced to more cats over time as he wanders around kittypet places and twoleg place, and as Gallant knows it, a quarter-moon has passed with him bonding with the kittypets surrounding him.

Gallant plays with his fellow friends like Dander, without her mother knowing that she's basically playing with a loner from the forest.

Dander is growing fonder of Gallant, but she can be stubborn with determination.

As the days pass uneventful, he finds himself settling into kittypet life, and he meets none other than Princess.

"Is that really Princess over there... Someone who I can really rely on?" Gallant thought, as he watches her with rapt attention, and he eventually gets up and builds courage to meet Princess herself.

"Ah, hello, whoever you are. I've never seen you here before, what's your name?" Princess meowed as she examines him

She continues with a sly remark, "by the way, my name is Princess, if your gonna ask."

Gallant was relieved, and sighed in his head as he heard her confirm his suspicions.

"My name is Gallant, and your right, I am a loner from the forest." Gallant mews, as he stands up from his fixture on his patches of herbs.

"Your into medicine stuff, huh? I've never seen any cat hold such plants like that except you around here." Princess said, as she sits down.

They have a small chit-chat, and Gallant asks if she has any particular siblings, just in case.

"Anyway, do you have siblings that you know of?" Gallant asks.

"Oh, right. I have siblings, my brothers name is Rusty, but he went into the woods about a moon ago, and I have other siblings named Filou, Tommy, and Luna." Princess meows, as she recalls their names.

Gallant decides to sit down and talk a bit more, trying to get enough information.

"Though, they moved into other twoleg places, but their not far from here... Why would you want to know, Gallant?" Princess utters, as she points out why he wants to know.

"Oh, I was just asking, nothing more." Gallant stated, as he steps back. Princess nods, and she decides to talk about some things, like her brother Rusty or the forest cats.

"My brother told me that the forest cats aren't scary as he said, but it still gives me the creeps." Princess tells, as she flicks her tail. Gallant had thought on her words, and he

As Princess gets called by her twoleg owners, she waves goodbye with her plump tail and she pads over to the door flap. Gallant turns around and sighs, and he reflects on what information he has now.

Gallant gets in a good spot, before itching his head and sitting back down, where he watches some other young cats play around.

"Well, now that all of that is clear, the forest cats are still gonna be in my way, so if I want to join them, I'll have to do something... Not to mention, it seems like I'm behind Rusty, or... Firepaw, and everything else that's in the forest. But what in the stars happened to my great grandfather..?"

"Was that really him? I need to find out why he was in that empty place, if that place even exists at all right now." Gallant thought as he quietly huffs to himself.

Gallant is slightly mad at why he couldn't save his great grandfather at the time, but at the same time, he would also die in that moment. They really ripped him apart, and it sent shivers down his body.

... Gallant grits his teeth in rage.

"It all happened so quick, I couldn't react. But still, I need to focus on what's going on right now... But where should I start?" Gallant thinks as he taps his chin with his paw.

He gets back up, until a wave of intense sleepiness drowns him, and he almost falls asleep right on the spot, but he swiftly catches himself.

"What..? Why do I feel so... tired?" Gallant mutters as he tries to shake himself, but it's almost useless.

He walks flimsy as he reaches his way to the twoleg nest, and he settles in there as Berry comes to his aid.

"Hey Gallant, you look super tired." Berry exclaims, as she takes a look at him.

"I'm fine right now, Berry, I just need to rest for a moment..." Gallant quietly states, as he tries to walk towards the corner, but he gets slower, and he slowly falls to the ground.

Berry quickly gets to her feet and she holds him there. "Where am I, why do I feel so numb...? Did I not get enough rest or is it something else..." Gallant's thoughts raced as he looks down at the ground with an half empty expression.

"Gallant... -e up, are... okay..? I rea-.. Need someone.. Quickly..!"

He could feel Berry picking him up and putting him to the corner where he wanted to go, and another kittypet is heard.

"Wha-... Is.. -good..? Okay-... Just let... Rest."

He can barely make out what Berry is telling him and the cat, as he seemingly passes out from sudden exhaustion.

Chapter 2 - A Nomadic Dream

...

As soon as he wakes up, he finds himself in an empty forest of wilted woods and old bushes, resembling the Dark Forest.

He sees some spinning clocks around and blinks a few times to register what he is experiencing, much to Gallant's surprise.

"Where in the... Wait, no, this isn't Dark Forest or Starclan..." Gallant looks around, and he finds somebody that isn't pleasant at all, in any way. Red pair of eyes glow in the dark, and it traces every movement Gallant takes.

"You know of that empty and shushed prison, hmm?" The black figure in the dark says, as it watches at Gallant's form. Gallant swipes hard, but the creature isn't physical, it's like a ghost.

Gallant slowly nods, and he slowly steps back in response to his whispered, dark voice.

"Good, I was worried you wouldn't know. But thank you. Most of us call it Limbo." Morvath speaks with a dark voice.

"Who are you?" Gallant states, as he looks at the creature.

"My name is Morvath, I was watching you from afar in my visions." Morvath explains.

Gallant's eyebrows slightly lower, not fond of what he had been doing, eavesdropping and watching him.

"Then, you must be that creature that was watching me, huh?" Gallant meowed, as he looks at Morvath in the eyes. His strong green gaze is on par with Morvath's red glowing eyes.

Morvath grabs a clock and shatters it, the pieces fading away in obscurity.

Gallant winces and his ears slightly pin back at the shattering of the clock, but he quickly relaxes.

"... Which creature are you talking about now, Gallant? Was I not the only one around?" Morvath finally says in confusion.

Gallants face goes grim, and he tries to picture both Morvath and the black figure.

Morvath comes out of the darkness. He looks similar to a wendigo, but more sharp and its skin completely gone.

Gallant's eyes slightly widen in surprise, but he maintains his composure.

"No, I was wrong. There was this creature with a big smile out there, and it seemed like the size of a small child, or a teenager." Gallant tells, as he looks at Morvath.

"Their dangerous. All I can tell you is that they can easily kill you in this state." Morvath explains to Gallant as he prods at Gallant's fur where his heart is.

"But what are they..?" Gallant asks to Morvath, as Morvath explains, "No cat, human, dog, or any other animal can see them without a secret rite. They shouldn't even be seen. If you look at them directly, who knows what they will do."

Gallant's fur slightly stands on end, knowing he had a similar encounter.

Morvath senses his fear, and he leers over him.

As Gallant steps back and feels his gaze, Morvath continues speaking, "Gallant, Just be careful out there. You are never gonna see me again, not for a very long time."

Before Gallant could react or say anything else, he is suddenly pulled straight out and put into an ordinary rest— by an unknown force.

As the night passes without much disturbances except the sound of crickets outside and twolegs working, Gallant eventually wakes up early, and Berry was watching over him.

"Ugh... well, nothing out of the ordinary I guess." Gallant thought, as he holds his head with his paw.

He can feel his headache getting a little worse.

Gallant rubs his forehead in hopes of soothing his head, but the only way to heal it is to rest and get proper care.

As he looks around he spots Berry, who comes up to him and sits down.

"Hey, your awake now, Gallant. How are you doing?" Berry meows as she pokes his side.

Gallant replies, "I'm doing fine, Berry. Thanks for asking, but right now I need to go."

Berry nods, and examines him for a moment, taking a look at his face first for any signs of drowsiness, but there's almost none in his features. Though, she notices something is off, like he has a headache, or migraine.

"Okay, you do seem fine right now, and your free to go Gallant. Just be careful... You might be sick, get some rest later." Berry tells him, and she steps back so he can go.

Gallant gives her a courtesy nod and he walks out, with a minor headache.

"I guess I have to deal with my headache for now. I don't any herbs right now." Gallant thought, as he went past the fence.

"Well, if I want to be relevant or important to this generation, I need to change. I need to leave this stuff behind." Gallant mutters to himself, before someone calls his name.

"Gallant, wait up!" Dander calls, as she quickly pads over to him, and she meows, "Are you going into that forest? Can I come..?"

"Dander, it's too dangerous to go in the forest! And to be honest, I found a few cats that were dangerous half a moon ago." Gallant explains with an unreadable expression.

"You don't think I'm good enough out there, don't you?" Dander mews as she looks up at him with disdain.

"No, it's just that it's too dangerous in the forest, and I... Nevermind, I can't go back here in the twoleg fields, at least, later." Gallant states, as he looks back at Dander.

Dander slowly nods with a hint of somber in her gaze, about Gallant's decision of going into the woods.

"Fine, I'll go back home, Gallant." Dander quietly meows, and she goes back with sad steps, and she's seen retreating into the twoleg place where her mother is.

Gallant feels a wave of slight regret, but he shakes it off by thinking about other things.

Gallant takes out the patch of the soft, fuzzy plant he had collected half a moon ago, and he eats it. He feels much energized, and he looks into the forest.

"Where I woke up, huh?" Gallant thought with a sly smirk as he slowly walks towards the fence littered with cobweb and a few thorn plants.

Gallant makes his way through the leaves, and he's once again met with the fateful forest where he had woken up.

Gallant's smirk slowly fades from a feeling of longing, and he remembers everything that he had done up to this day.

He remembers the wind chimes he would wake up to, and the sound of Dander or her friends calling his name.

"That was half a moon ago. We need to focus on what's truly going on here." Gallant thought to himself once again, as he takes his paw into the wilderness.

As he gets his final move on, and he walks around the forest territory near Thunderclan, and he spots three cats approaching in his direction, in Thunderclan territory.

"They smell like violent loners." Gallant thought, as he steps in front of them to halt them.

"Ey, who are you, huh?" One of them say, as they give a low growl, their ears pinned back.

"Yeah, who are ya, twiggy kittypet? We can smell that disgusting stench on you." Another one says, as the other two wrinkle their noses out of slight disgust.

"My name is Gallant, and I'm not letting you get through." Gallant meows, as he stands up to face their confrontation.

He gets ready for a rough encounter, but as he takes a step closer to them, their scared off by a few Thunderclan cats.

Gallant's eyes slightly widen in surprise, and his fur bristles.

"If I could smell better as a cat, why didn't I smell or sense them?" Gallant's thoughts quickly scattered as he focused on the encounter.

The three cats that caught his pair of emerald orbs were Whitestorm, Mousefur, and Dustpaw.

They must have been a hunting patrol or on another duty...

As they look at Gallant, who is slightly taller than Dustpaw, they look quite astonished by his size for an apprentice-aged cat.

Though, he is quite ragged, and quite neglected in grooming, making Gallant look a bit hideous to the clan cats in front of him.

"Ah, you look surprised." Dustpaw says as he looks at Gallant.

"Because I didn't see you coming there." Gallant tells them, his fur slowly flattening.

"Well, we cleared off any scent on us, and it's a hunting and patrolling technique we do." Dustpaw meows, as he pokes his side.

"Dustpaw, shush..." Mousefur mutters to him, as Dustpaw lightly nods and they both face Gallant again.

"Who are you, kittypet?" Whitestorm says, as he examines him and smells him from a few tail-lengths away.

"My name is Gallant, that's about it..." Gallant tells them, as he sits down and brushes himself off.

"You just warded off a few loners for us, Gallant." Mousefur explains, as she looks at where the loners had ran. Dustpaw nods in agreement, and he looks a little taken away by how tall Gallant is.

"Well, it was no big deal, they looked like a bunch of walking twigs." Gallant meows, as Dustpaw lets out a nice mrrrow of laughter, as Dustpaw pats his shoulder.

"You looked equally as bad as them, Gallant." Dustpaw exclaims as Gallant looks at him with a slightly embarrassed look.

"Well, you don't have to speak so loud about it." Gallant retorts, as he sighs.

"You also handled that well for a young one, and we were actually watching you once we spotted you, that was before you saw those loners." Mousefur confesses, as she admires his work.

"That was quite great of you, Gallant... Say, how about I ask you something, Gallant?" Whitestorm tells him.

"Hmm, sure, what is it?" Gallant meows as he tilts his head slightly upwards to face Whitestorm.

"Gallant, would you like to join Thunderclan? If yes, we could appoint you as another apprentice... And if no, we could let you go back where you were going." Whitestorm asks, as Dustpaw and Mousefur both give each other glances behind Whitestorm's back.

As soon as Mousefur opens her mouth to argue, Whitestorm quickly gives her a silencing glance, and she gives a sigh.

"Were short on warriors Bluestar said, and we could use your help, Gallant. We had already recruited one warrior, and his name is Firepaw." Whitestorm meows, as he examines Gallant.

"I knew it, this also confirms my suspicions... If I line up what's happening, I could possibly help them." Gallant thinks as his ears intently listen on what they are saying.

Dustpaw relaxes a bit, but notices Whitestorm and Mousefur hadn't introduced themselves, so he nudges them both.

Whitestorm catches Dustpaw's signal, and he nods.

"We hadn't introduced ourselves, but this is Dustpaw, he is an apprentice. For my fellow warrior here, her name is Mousefur, her and I are warriors of Thunderclan."

Gallant slowly nods, taking in his words.

Whitestorm nods as Dustpaw tells a bit more, "If you want to be a clan cat, your going to have to learn our ways and follow the warrior code. Right now, I'm an apprentice in training, and it takes a lot, so be ready just in case."

Gallant takes a deep breath, and he tells them about his final answer about their deal.

"Okay, I will join your clan if you need any warriors or apprentices." Gallant confirms as he looks a little up at Whitestorm.

"Alright, we will quickly appoint you in the clan, just follow us, Gallant!" Whitestorm says, as he turns around and signals Gallant to follow them deeper into the forest.

And so, Gallant and the forest cats run in unison, leading Gallant to Thunderclan camp.

They go through roots to hopping over branches and getting through bushes.

Gallant experiences many breath-taking views through-out the sunny forest as cold droplet falls from the leaves from yesterdays rain.

Gallant let's out a shiver as the droplet comes into contact with his tail.

"Brrr! Are we getting any closer Whitestorm?" Gallant asks as he keeps on running, panting.

"We should be at the entrance of Thunderclan any time soon, Gallant!" Whitestorm tells him, as they go through, and they slow down as they reach the lichen.

"Okay, were here, young one." Whitestorm remarks, as he comes to a stop at the lichen.

Dustpaw looks at Gallant, and he nods him forward.

"Okay, thanks for inviting me here by the way, Whitestorm." Gallant commented, as Whitestorm gives him a small smile.

"No need to dwell on it, Gallant. Just make sure your prepared for your decision." Whitestorm clarifies, as Gallant fully nods with courtesy.

"Come on, you can go through, Gallant." Mousefur meows, as she lets Gallant go through first.

As Gallant goes first, he is soon followed by Whitestorm and the other two. Gallant is met with the real Thunderclan, he takes in every detail, and his expression grows with some excitement.

"Just wait here, Gallant, Whitestorm will fetch Bluestar in a bit. In the meantime, I'll go and talk with some of the others." Dustpaw tells him, as he pads towards the apprentice den.

As Gallant waits patiently, he starts speaking thoughts in his head.

"Well, now I'm here. I guess I have to wait for now." Gallant says in his head as he waits, and he takes a seat on the firm patch of grass.

As some times passes, he gets to meet Bluestar himself, and he smiles.

"... Your the one Whitestorm was talking about, right?" Bluestar says with authority as she examines him. Gallant nods and he replies with, "yes, I was the cat who had scared off those loners as well."

Bluestar gives a thoughtful look, then she speaks up, "Alright, Gallant, you can come in the clearing. Were all here, don't be shy."

As Gallant comes through, lots of cats spot and eye him warily, as if he has something up his paws.

"Bluestar, he isn't from here. He's probably a loner, or some kind of spy, you know... No, he smells like another kittypet!" Darkstripe accuses, as he comes a little closer to sniff and detect his scent.

"He is a kittypet, Bluestar! Another one, huh?" Darkstripe says, as he steps back many tail-lengths away, slightly disgusted.

"He doesn't seem a kittypet from what we have heard. We don't know his origins, not to mention he doesn't have a collar at all." Mousefur says, as she backs Gallant up.

Gallant gives him a challenging look, and he steps back, as most of the clan watch the loner more warily than usual.

Bluestar lightly sighs, knowing this is about to end in not such a friendly way.

She gets on the High-rock to watch Darkstripe and his accusation of Gallant.

"Enough, Darkstripe. There is nothing wrong with him, unless you want to pick a fight with him." Bluestar exclaims, as she looks down with an equally stern expression.

Gallant focuses and he looks at Darkstripe.

"Well, Darkstripe? You want to fight me?" Gallant teases as his fur slightly stands on end.

Darkstripe gives Gallant a sly look and he gives him a dangerous smirk, as if he thought Gallant was mouse-brained for asking that.

"Hey, why not? Give me your hardest try, "Gallant" the kittypet." Darkstripe meows, as he gestures him to attack, messing with Gallant.

Gallant coldly gazes at him with a growl rumbling in his throat, ready to lunge.

"I've had enough of Darkstripe. I'm going to settle this!" Gallant thought.

Darkstripe looks at Longtail, giving him a amused look as if Gallant is being serious or not.

Then, as Gallant takes his chance, he quickly lunges towards Darkstripe, crashing into him!

Most of the cats are around the clearing, most of which are watching them both fight in the midst of day, as some are just doing their business.

As Gallant gets the upper-hand of letting Darkstripe get cocky, he has a good chance of winning this fight.

Darkstripe struggles, as it seems like Gallant is getting the hang of battle.

"Don't get so cocky, kittypet!" Darkstripe meows with anger.

"... I've never felt like this before...!" Gallant mutters under his breath as a sly smile breaks across his face.

"Maybe speak up more, Gallant!" Darkstripe remarks, as he quickly gains his strength back and fights back with dangerous fervor.

"I said I've never felt like this before, Darkstripe!" Gallant meows.

Bluestar notices Gallant and his behavior in the midst of their clawing.

"Get off of me, stinky pellet-eater!" Darkstripe meows, as he tries to push himself off of him with his hind legs.

Gallant holds Darkstripe down and scratches a bit of fur off of his pelt.

Darkstripe let's out a yowl as he scratches Gallant's side, making him wince, but not enough to stop him.

The cats that were doing their business beyond and beside the clearing hears Darkstripe and Gallant's wild side, and they glance at them both.

A particular cat in Gallant's peripheral vision suspects something is wrong with Gallant, and what could possibly trigger such a thing.

Before Gallant could get anymore ferocious with Darkstripe, or register the cat who gave him a suspicious look, he gets yanked off of Darkstripe by Whitestorm, grunting as he falls on his rear-end on the dry ground.

Bluestar gives them all a relieved look, as if she was tired or annoyed by earlier.

"Watch yourself, Darkstripe. Your going to get your pelt ripped off by a cat who looks starved and hideous." Whitestorm states in disappointment as he gets a little closer to Darkstripe.

"Sorry Whitestorm, I didn't expect that much from.. Him." Darkstripe softly meows, stepping back from Gallant.

Whitestorm nods,

"What was that, Gallant?" Bluestar exclaims, as she examines his form once again for any type of details she missed.

All she can see in his eyes are boldness and another fierce emotion she can't read, which she hadn't expected so much of, but she quickly focuses.

"I... nevermind, I can't really explain it much." Gallant says as he looks around the cats surrounding them.

Bluestar nods, and she decides to pat his shoulder with her paw in approval

She quickly gets up on the High-rock and silences the whispering clan, as she opens her mouth to speak and stands tall on the Highrock to announce to something to the clan

Something that will usher a new era.

The clan silences in just a few moments and their gazes meet Gallant, who stands tall on all fours.

"This young one has proved his worth to the clan, and from now on, his name will be..." Bluestar looks back at Gallant, who is quite nervous from all the glances of other cats, but despite that he seems ready enough.

"His name will be Gallantpaw!" Bluestar announced to everyone, and the clan cheers and bustles with more whispers of the loner.

But then, most of them stand up, making Gallant feel a bit uneasy.

"Do they not accept me..? What's with their looks?" Gallant thought to himself, as he looks down at them.

Much to Gallant's unease and nervousness, they chant his newfound name through-out the great forest.

"Gallantpaw!"
"Gallantpaw!"
"Gallantpaw!"

Bluestar gives a small smile of amusement and pride to Gallantpaw, who seems a bit overwhelmed but relieved to find that they accept him.

"I was worried they would start arguing, but wow... I'm into one of the clans, after what seemed like weeks... I still have to follow the warrior code, but I won't fail anyone. Not even one cat in this clan, or forest." Gallant pondered, as he felt the gazes of most.

As the clans chanting and whispers die down, some apprentices come up to him, like Dustpaw and Graypaw to praise him.

Gallant rubs his side, feeling sore and some dry blood from Darkstripe's claws connecting to his fur.

"Hmm, maybe it was from my earlier fight, I didn't even notice at all. Maybe this dry blood was already on me... Hmm." Gallant quickly muttered, as he then looks at his now fellow apprentices.

Gallant spots not only the apprentices, but a few kits as well that decided come up to him and admire him with a few questions.

"You did very well for a new-comer, y'know." Graypaw says with a affectionate nudge as Dustpaw agrees with Graypaw.

Ravenpaw carefully goes through some of the kits, and Gallantpaw looks down at him, curious about the young black apprentice.

"Your skills were quite nice for someone who is quite... Hideous they say." Ravenpaw nervously states as he looks up at Gallant.

Gallantpaw gives a nod of approval at Ravenpaw's words, and he seems a bit more confident in his abilities.

As some of the apprentices and kits bombard and crowd him, one stands out in particular, one that strikes like fire.

"Wow, he looks nice with all that orange... Is that who I think it is?" Gallant wonders with his mouth slightly ajar.

"Hey, you did well for a loner, you know! I was getting herbs for our medicine cat before, but I had taken a look at you from the side of the High-rock, and you did well back there against a warrior!" The particular cat meows as fiery apprentice gets closer.

Gallantpaw's eyes slightly widen in sight of who was in front of him, and he knows exactly who that is.

"He's the cat who was apart of the prophecy in the first book... But at this moment of time... Wow." Gallant's thoughts clear out as he opens his mouth further.

"And what's your name, fire-looking apprentice?" Gallant asked, and he watched with bated breath as the orange cat opens his jaws to speak. Firepaw gives a small chuckle, as he responds with...

"The name is Firepaw, Gallantpaw."
