Elliot and Noob ducked for cover behind a structure. Two-Time, Chance, Shedletsky, everyone was dead. It was just them against C00lkid. Noob shivered with fear as he hugged Elliot close. They wrapped her arm around Noob, hearing C00lkid's theme getting closer and more intricate.
"I'm scared!" he said softly, holding both of his hands to his mouth. He was at full health, but knew how strong C00lkid was. Only a few hits and he'd be gone like everyone else. And then it would just be Elliot, all alone, "It'll be okay, there's only 30 seconds left.." she assured him, holding him closer as he closed his eyes.
"Are we playing Hide-n-Seek Extreme now?" C00lkid asked in his slightly distorted voice as he passed in front of the structure, unaware of the survivors that were right under his nose. He kept looking around a bit, his ears twitching as he tried to listen for walking from either of them. He finally left the area, moving to another area of the map to search. Elliot let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding and realized that as he was so focused on keeping quiet Noob had wrapped his arms around them and was softly sobbing. She hugged him back, petting his head as he closed his eyes. Only 10 seconds remained. And then they were free.
