On a normal day at Monster High, students in the study hall sit in silence without caring about what the professor in front of them is talking about. Just them minding their own thing.
Suddenly, multiple sounds of notifications echo through the halls.
JUST IN: An argument so loud, yetis could hear from where they are standing. A love that once burned as the flames of hell now struck with a snowstorm.
It was a Ghostly Gossip post.
The post included a picture of Abby and Heath in the middle of a heated conversation.
Just like that, the study hall was no longer silent. Rumors spread among students, making their conclusions.
“I knew they weren't going to last.”
“I guess now we know that Ice and Fire do not mix well.”
“What do you think they fought about? I bet it's about the new ghoul that Heath was talking to the other day.”
The ghouls, Draculaura, Lagoona, Cleo, Operetta, Frankie, and Clawdeen are shocked about what they just happened.
“I wonder what went wrong, they were doing good just yesterday,” Clawdeen said
“I’m sure they’ll fix their problem and be fine tomorrow,” Operetta says confidently.
Abbey and Heath were known to argue a lot due to their differences but always made up. However, this time they don’t.

The next day. . .
Draculaura and Clawd were walking to school, hand in hand, talking about their future and life after Monster High.
“I received a letter today from Scarvard, I got accepted,” Clawd announces happily.
“Wow, that’s fangtastic! It’s a shame you’ll be sending them a rejection.” Draculaura laughs
“I’m thinking of attending Scarvard after graduating.” He whispers
“Wait, but I thought we agreed to both go to Skullombia?” Draculaura is stunned
“Well, I got a scholarship at Scarvard for being the basketball captain, plus they’re willing to cover my housing and expenses there. It's a too good offer to pass up!” Clawd points out other benefits of going to Scarvard as well, making Draculaura question about their plans
“But what about our plans, I already made a list of all the things that we could do while studying at Skullombia.”
“We could still do those plans, Skullombia is just a near drive from Scarvard, I could just go to you.”
“It’s not the same feeling being in other schools. You know what, forget it, I don’t want to think about it.” Draculaura walks away from the conversation.
Ghostly Gossip posts about it an hour later.
Then news about how Iris and Manny once again broke up due to a lack of communication and misunderstanding in the relationship. Which was no shock to the students, for they don’t actually think that they deserve each other.

Whilst in the cafeteria, the ghouls were catching up on all the gossip that happened, just them talking and adding details from what was publicly posted.
“I heard Iris and Manny broke up again, It’s a shame, I liked them together they were like Romeo and Ghouliet” Lagoona says
“Oh please, those two don't even talk to each other directly. I don’t even have an idea how they ended up with each other.” Cleo comments as she scrolls on her ICoffin
“Did you guys see the post about Draculaura and Clawd? Is it true that you broke up?” Operetta says while sitting down
“We just argued, that’s all, but we’re still together. I don’t know why Spectra wrote it like we broke up.” Draculaura states
Just as they were talking, Gil and Lorna walked in, laughing and being unexpectedly affectionate with each other.
“Uhm, Lagoona, are you and Gil still together?” Clawdeen asks
“Of course we still are, I’m waiting for him to finish his class so we can go to training together,” Lagoona answers
“If you’re waiting for him, then why is he with Lorna here,” Frankie says while pointing at Gil and Lorna sitting at the other table.
Their whole table looks at them. Lagoona has mixed feelings about what she is seeing and does not know how to respond, nor to react.
“Ghoul, are you okay?” Draculaura says while she tries to comfort her
“They are so in sync with one another, they look perfect. I guess that’s what happens when freshwater creatures come together.” Lagoona says as she observes Gil and Lorna’s dynamic
“I still have one more class, I better go now before I become late” Lagoona exits the cafeteria without looking back.
“That poor ghoul, I wish we could do something to make her feel better,” Operetta says in a worried tone while looking at Lagoona.
“Ooh, I know, we could have her talk to Cupid for advice. I always confide in her whenever I have love problems.” Frankie suggests
“Speaking of, I haven’t seen Cupid in a while. Does she even still attend this school?” Cleo asks
“You know what, me too, We should drop by her studio later,” Clawdeen says.
However, once they arrived at Cupid’s studio, it was empty.
It looked like the place was unused for a few months, and it was a mess. The ghouls didn’t think much of it since Cupid was known to leave for a few months due to her duties as a matchmaker, but she comes back after it's done.
The next day comes,
JUST IN: Monster High’s very own Royalty couple call it quits!
The post included a picture of Cleo turning her back on Deuce while he is left stunned.
“Oh my Ghoul Cleo, I just heard, what happened between you and Deuce?!” Draculaura asks
“Well, it turns out the reason he has been distant lately was because he was spending all his time with Rochelle. Can you believe that?? Me replaced with a ghoul made of stone??!!” Cleo says angrily whilst at the same time keeping her composure
“There’s no way Deuce would do that. Have you tried asking him why he has been with her the past few days? I mean there must be reason, When I was hanging out with Deuce for a week, we were making a song about you. What if he’s planning a surprise for you again?” Operetta states
“What would he even need Rochelle’s help for? Ugh, I don’t want to think about her anymore. Please, let’s just change the topic.” Cleo says while still annoyed
“Have you guys noticed how the energy in Monster High is a bit different? Like, why is every couple in a bad spot.” Frankie asks
“I’ve also noticed that. Why is everyone breaking up or arguing?.” Clawdeen answers
“We need Cupid back, let’s visit her house, maybe she’s there,” Lagoona says and the ghouls agree.

Upon arriving, Cupid doesn't answer, but the doors open, revealing a ghoul with heart-shaped lips and red hair.
“May I help you?” The ghoul asks
“We are friends of Cupid, Is she home?” Draculaura says
“I am Cupid’s Mother. She’s currently at school, but I can summon her. For now, come in and make yourselves feel at home.”
They are greeted with heart-shaped floors, and pink and red colored walls with a touch of love.
Cupid’s mother leads them to Cupid’s lounge.
“I already informed Cupid through arrows that she has visitors. Let's hope she’ll arrive as soon as she can”
“For now, feel free to explore the house, and don't hesitate to call me when you need something” With that Cupid’s mother left them alone.
The ghouls wandered around the lounge, observing the pictures hung, arrows displayed, heart-shaped trophies, and a mirror shining brightly.
It was like a siren's voice calling them to come near the mirror.
“Woah, who is that?,” Draculaura says, drawing the attention of the others. The mirror showed a reflection of herself but with a more human look, holding an umbrella, no fangs, no bats, and certainly not pink
“It's like it showing an alternate version of ourselves,” Clawdeen says as her reflection showed her not having ears on top of her head and no sharp teeth poking through her smile, however still has hints of wolf ancestry.
Lagoona also rushes to the mirror and sees herself still with gills in her body but hidden in a way some would not notice, her blue skin fading into a more olive skin tone, but her reflection was cut off by Cleo.
“Let me have a turn” Cleo was shown a reflection of herself but in an outfit similar to Cleopatra's, her bandages no longer wrapping around her body, but still has gold jewelry surrounding her outfit.
A swirl of purple and white lines unexpectedly started to form in the mirror, startling the ghouls.
“This is starting to get weird, I think we should leave it be before it does something to us,” Operetta says, but after that, they all get sucked into the portal.
Once sucked into the portal, they feel something shifting in their body.
MEANWHILE, AT CUPID’S RADIO AT EVER AFTER HIGH
“Follow your heart, If it doesn't work out, just know It's what your heart wanted” Cupid announces in her radio show.
An arrow shoots the glass near her, which surprises Cupid.
The arrow bursts into a message with her mother’s voice saying.
“Dear, you have visitors here from school, they mentioned that they are from Monster High, please come here.”
Just then, cupid hears a scream which is familiar to her ears.
She rushes outside to see the commotion, and it is revealed that it is the ghouls. Shocked by their new form.
