Akk is used to living his life online. Four years at a Suppalo taught him to compartmentalize, finding peace being the diligent prefect by day, and screaming into the void of his private twitter by night, for all of four people (five now. With Ayan) to see.
Aye spends his time in the real world—most days he thinks he’s seen too much. But he knows that, worse than being confronted by the ugly truth, is what can happen when that truth sneaks up on you. And these days, with Akk, he can’t afford to be anything other than vigilant.
Their first year at University was meant to be a reprieve from the unpleasantness of last year, a chance to truly explore the precious little life they were starting to build together. But when they encounter a mysterious secret society that has every student on edge, old patterns they fought so hard to escape begin to reappear, and the differences Akk and Ayan used to find solace threaten to tear them apart.
The Solars have their eyes everywhere. There’s no corner left for Aye to hide, and no void left for Akk to scream. As their safe places dwindle to the arms of the other, they wonder how they ever thought they could be good enough, strong enough, when all they feel is weak.
