Chapter Text

You walked into the daycare, sighing.
You’d just clocked in for the nightshift after having had to cover the afternoon shift because your colleagues weren’t doing their jobs- as usual. You were happy, however, to enter the Daycare. You were glad to be stationed here, in this large and open space with its safe and protected atmosphere. It made you feel like a kid being cradled once more.
At times, you almost felt like you really were a kid, but this wasn’t one of those times.
You sat at the security desk, sighing. Any second now, the Daycare attendant(s) would come up to you to bother you- for whatever reason, they’re grown rather attached to you. The lights were on, so it would be Sun bounding up to you again, you reasoned.
———☀️———
As if on cue, the animatronic popped up in front of you, bursting out of his hidey hole under the outer side of the desk. “Happy Anniversary, Bestie!” He exclaimed, rays spinning with excitement. Sun used his rays to express himself, since he couldn’t make faces like humans could. Moon, on the other hand, preferred to be hard to read on purpose.
“Anniversary?” You asked, before realizing. “Aww…”
Today was the anniversary of your work as a Fazbear Employee. You’d survived an entire year of this underpaying torture with Sun and Moon’s help, and Sun had even marked the day as a special day for you in his database.
Adorable.
“Well… someone’s sleepy!” Sun chimed, laughing. You looked around, and realized that he’d decorated the room with paper streamers and banners, and even grabbed the speakers from the theater. He clicked the remote for said speakers, rays rotating, and music- other than the daycare’s annoying theme- began to play. “You didn’t even notice!”
“Wow…” Was all you could muster. He did all of this… for me?
“May I have this dance?” Sun asked, catching you off guard. He curtsy’d, and you held back a laugh at the gesture.
“Of course, Sun.” You replied, and walked out from behind the desk.
You let the bot take your hands in his and waltz with you. He was surprisingly good at it, keeping pace easily with the music. Although he was usually fidgety, he seemed to move with grace and precision now, fully focused.
It was a perfect dance.

As soon as the lights cut out, Moon chuckled and snickered, reveling in the new darkness of the space. He could be rather off putting when he laughed, but something about it was endearing.
“Welcome, Moon.” You whispered, which he always asked you to do, letting go of him gently.
“Why… what did you do that for?” He inquired, tilting his crescent patterned faceplate ever so slightly.
“Well… you don’t like being touched, right?” You remembered that you had once tried to hug him on a whim, but he’d pulled away and snarled at you, slapping at your hand. Later, he’d apologized and explained that he wasn’t ‘good with stimuli like Sun.’
Moon rolled his red LED eyes. “There are exceptions. Occasionally. Don’t get any ideas, now, Naughty one.~” He rasped, taking your hands in his.
And so you danced with Moon as well.
At some point, he lifted you up into the air with him using his cable, and you felt like you truly were flying.
It was perfect.
