Summary
After Marie lost so much on Pandora, she felt like a shell of herself. Her best friend dead, the man she loved betrayed her, and back on the Helios station; she could only take comfort in the knowledge that her brother was at least alive, safe, and loved by the Slab King. But Marie can only bury herself in the repair bay for so long, as Jack plans to show her off at an orchestrated debut ball. Pushed into the bright stage light of Jack's world, Marie finds herself as an unwitting participant in the knife-edge dance between the leading corporations, with someone watching her every move obsessively.
And in the middle of it all, the voice in her soul continues to grow louder and louder. Something, or someone, is calling her back to Pandora, beckoning her to return to the heart of this neocolonial war and discover the true intentions of the Vaults.
