Work Text:
“Hey babe, your eyes are like IKEA. I’m totally lost in them.”
Valiantly, you ignore the menace currently floating behind you, trying to focus on your book. A loud sigh cracked your concentration, your eye twitching in the corner.
“Okay, not good enough, I get it…” Kon muttered. “How about; Hey, girl. Are you German? ‘Cause I wanna be Ger-man!”
You get out an annoyed sigh so maybe, just maybe the black haired idiot will get the hint. But apparently, he was incapable of such simple concepts of silence.
“Come on, give me something here!” Kon moaned, slinging an arm over your shoulders and placing his head in the crook of your neck.
Automatically, your eyes shift to his face, spotting a pouting half Kryponian. “Kon, I’m reading.”
Kon let his forehead thunk on your shoulder, body shaking with exaggerated dry sobs. His voice came back muffled and shaky. “Do you hate me? What have I done to deserve this?”
A smile threatens to show, mouth twitching up at his stupid dramatics. You don’t even want to dawn that with a response, your eyes flicking back to the book.
“Fine.” Abruptly, Kon’s head disappears from your shoulder. In one swift movement, your chair had spun around to face away from the desk, two strong arms caging you on.
Kon’s stupid smirking face appeared in front of you, towering over you. For a breathless moment, you forgot where you were, cheeks heating up at the close proximity.
“Stop, drop, and roll, baby. You are on fire.”
The illusion shattered like sugar glass, Kon looking stupid with his round sunglasses perched on the tip of his nose, blue eyes blinding.
On instinct, the hand clutched around the book came down on Kon’s head. He reeled back, loudly complaining about the violence against him, despite being invulnerable.
“Abuse I tell you! This is abuse because I what, use pick up lines?” Kon groused, clutching his pearls.
Leaning back in your chair, you stare at the teen incredulously. “You don’t use pick up lines on your girlfriend, you use them on strangers.”
Kon stares at you with increasing incredulity, like you had said something ridiculous. “Am I not allowed to express my continuous attraction to my beautiful girlfriend?”
Pinching the bridge of your nose, you hold back laughter at the ridiculous logic he held. In your skewed vision you could see Kon slowly approach you, circling your chair so he was behind you.
Slowly, like he was testing the waters, Kon cupped your face and tilted your head back. Your hands fell from your face to see Kon’s face, an unbothered smirk on his face.
“What do you want?” You hum, raising an eyebrow.
“I don’t know…” Kon contemplatively tapped his chin. “Your love, your affection? A reason to go on in life?”
Your body loosened, opened up and let a smile pull to your lips. “You’re ridiculous.”
Kon smiled, dimples clear in the close proximity. Slowly, Kon lowered himself to peck your lips, smiling into the kiss.
Just as quickly, he pulls back, thumb stroking against your cheek. “Hey babe?”
“Yeah?”
“Are you a camera? Cuz all I can do is smile when I see you.?”
Blinking, you sigh at Kon’s genuinely proud look. “Okay yeah fine, that was cute.”
“Aha!”
