Carly is a mage, but she’s also good with a staff in close combat. She doesn’t like swords, doesn’t approve of killing, understanding that this can only be done in case of a threat to life. She is kind, a little naive, but also with a strong sense of justice, which is why she is easily provoked to emotions. Carly also knows how to put herself in someone else's shoes - this is the reason why she accepted Sarevok as a team member in the last part of Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal.
She had two love interests. At first she and Rasaad were close, but Carly is one of those who can think about a relationship only after she gets to know a person well. With Rasaad they finally got to the kiss. John Irenicus, who attacked Carly's group, didn’t kidnap everyone. Rasaad went to look for his beloved woman, but when he found her, there was already another man nearby - the knight Anomen Delrin.
Carly couldn’t decide for a long time who of the two she actually loved, they both tried to get her attention. In the end, Rasaad left the team without telling anyone. This happened at the end of the events of Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn, when the group was still in the elven kingdom. Carly, who was still recovering from the battle with Irenicus, decided to take a walk, despite the elven healers’ objections. Anomen found her, confessed his love and asked to marry him. Rasaad saw and heard everything, so he left without saying goodbye.
At the end of the whole story Carly gains the power of Baal and ascends, moves to a new level. In part, this was the only chance to save Anomen from death. The battle with Amelissan took almost all of her resourses, and Carly's magic wasn’t enough to heal her beloved here and now, because later, when her magic was fully restored, it would be too late. Solar offers Carly a choice, and if she agrees to accept the full power of her real father, the Lord of Murder, then Anomen can be saved. And Carly agrees. In the end Carly says goodbye to everyone who came to the end with her (Anomen, Imoen, Jaheira, Viconia and Sarevok) and leaves with Solar.
I also think that in this fic Carly will have a four-legged companion - a magical dog similar to an English Setter (I love Setters!), who will also stay with her and move to a new level at the end.
