    In medicine, you’re taught how to fix a wound. Cauterize. Sterilize. Clean. Stitch. Monitor. A process, like any other, with documented, expected results. In theory, the wound should heal. In theory, things should get better. So why, with stitches, with cleaning, with cauterizing, with monitoring, does the wound keep splitting apart?
