Chapter Text

Sasuke remembered that night he woke up after their fight at the valley of the end.

Something tugged on the edge of his dream — he woke up with a start. For a
moment he didn’t know where he is, but antiseptics in the air gave him a hint; then the pain came — he looked at his left hand — ah, right, that’s it. The stump hurt, his right hand was on IV and his throat was sore and scratchy — it’d be great to have some water.

Sasuke tried to move, but instantly regretted — whole body hummed with pain — while bearable, still very annoying.

Naruto didn’t leave his side: then Sakura would drag him from the room, he would
come back again as soon as she left. Sasuke didn’t talk much — at the beginning it was a real drag — made him weaker and nauseous. Later he just got used to Naruto’s constant chatter — when the other was distracted by himself or his own stories, Sasuke could watch him without fear.

Naruto watches his face in the mirror — he needs to shave, probably. Then he inspects his chest and neck — nothing, no speck or redness. It’s a shame, really. Naruto remembers Sasuke biting him yesterday — after Naruto gnawed at his chest, but by the morning there’s not a single scrape on his skin.

He hears Sasuke getting up, so he starts brushing his teeth. Sasuke likes to take his time in the morning.

In a minute, there’s a hand circling his waist and Sasuke breathing in his nape.

“Good morning, Sasuke.”

“M’rning.”

They meet each other eyes in the mirror. Naruto waits.

“Wait. Why there’s nothing on you?”

“Ah, you mean…”

“You’ve practically chewed me yesterday — look!”

And maybe for Sasuke it looks like an evidence of a crime, but something deep in Naruto feels very territorial about love bites on Sasuke’s milky skin. Some of them are yellow, others are fresh and red.
“I don’t remember you complaining yesterday night.”

“I wouldn’t complain now, but you’re healing too fast.”

“Ooh! That’s not a problem — you can make new ones.”

Modern AU + High School AU

Sasuke hates parties, but this one in particular. There are mistletoes
all around the fucking house, above every door. It’s all Suigetsu’s fault.

“Be careful, girls decorated the house.”

There’s no way to be careful, this place is full of traps. For worse or the better, Naruto leech on him like a pest as soon as he came. Sasuke doesn’t understand if it’s for the worse or for the better.

Sakura moves to take his hand, but Naruto is faster and he tugs Sasuke to another room.

"Where have you been? Come, come, we're discussing a new game..."

"Narutooooo!" Oh, that's definitely Sakura — Sasuke feels headache forming. "Get off Sasuke-kun right now!"

And Naruto stops just between two rooms. That's how Sasuke learns there's a mistletoe above them -- he sees Sakura paling and Hinata getting impossibly red. But it's Suigetsu! -- Sasuke is going to kill him one of these days, who says it out loud.

"Lol, guys, there's a mistletoe — you should kiss now. Tradition!"

Sasuke wishes his eyes had death lasers or something. Because people are watching, waiting. And while Sasuke tries to come up with an idea how to run away from this, Naruto just moves and pecks his cheek.

"Okay, y'all happy now? Let's gooo, Sasuke, Shikamaru has the screenshots."

What was that? Sasuke doesn't even get a break. because he's being tugged away yet again. At least Sakura doesn't shout again. He's probably dissociating, but he can't make himself angry — the deed is done and Naruto kissed him.

The second time it happens, when Sasuke tries to find something non-alcoholic to drink. It's Sakura and Ino who meet him in the kitchen again - he can't even run away, he's not fast enough - and he will not leave this kitchen, not when both girls look at him like he's a steak. It's like running away from overexcited children. Sasuke makes a move back and it's Naruto again, who catches him and they stumble back into the living-room.

"Oof!" Sasuke feels Naruto's hands around his waist and it makes him all kinds of fuzzy. "Oh, mistletoe! It's your turn to kiss me."

He's doomed. But at least Naruto lets him go. Sasuke turns swiftly with intention to smack Naruto, but he's met with eyes too cunning. This fox planned something -- he kisses Sasuke in another cheek and dashes. Sasuke can't just stay there, so he chases him all around the room until they're both out of breath. They take an eventual break to eat a snack.

Third time happens when Kiba and Naruto get into the argument and just when Naruto flips him off, Kiba shoves him and Sasuke have to catch his dumbass. They stumble under yet another mistletoe and Sasuke sees Hinata trying to stop Kiba from fighting Naruto again and then there's only Naruto's face.

"Hey, dobe, mistletoe." Sasuke takes satisfaction seeing shock in Naruto's big blue eyes and then he doesn't give him a chance to run away — he goes to kiss him on the lips. He wanted to play a cruel joke, kissing him with tongue and all, but Naruto's hands are too fast to cradle his head and oh. Oh, this kiss is too deep and too good, how can Sasuke even stop.

They stop only because Sasuke needs to breath and Sakura is shouting bloody murder. After this Sasuke runs away to hide in the bathroom.

Of course Naruto scratches at the door like a scaredy cat for twenty minutes. Of course Sasuke lets him in. There isn't any mistletoe inside, but the blonde jerk brought one with him.

"Hey, teme, mistletoe."

“Hey, I was first to love you that’s not fair!”

Well, that’s just blasphemy and Sasuke won’t let it slide just like that.

"Are you a moron? Obviously I was first.”

"What?! Impossible!”

Maybe Sasuke had to act faster, but too late to think about other options now. What’s important is them together.

“You were my crush since we were on the team. And then you drove me insane with all this friendship talk — I was going to kill you just for this. Because you didn’t understand…”

“What?”

Naruto practically stumbles from the desk and runs up to Sasuke.

“What?!”

“You loved me since…”

There are tears in these blue eyes, they’re even brighter than before.

Eternal life is supposed to be fun, but recently Sasuke got himself a stalker. Like the fan club of girls asking for him to take their blood wasn’t enough. This new generation got spoiled with questionable media. Give them a finger and they will chop the whole hand.

“Why won’t you leave me alone?”

This stupid guy is here on his porch every day no matter what traps Sasuke invents. Maybe it’s time to admit he’s not good with traps, because this human disabled all of them.

“You need blood and I’m willing to give you mine.”

The first time Naruto invited himself into his manor, he told Sasuke he wants to be his familiar. Sasuke suggested to get in line and threw him out right into the hands of his own fan club — and like rabid dogs they are, they almost teared the guy to pieces. Unfortunately, some people can be very charismatic and talkative. Sasuke doesn’t know what exactly Naruto promised Sakura and others, but he’s their favorite now — and an official representative to said fan club.

“Go away, you don’t even know what you’re asking for. I can take care of myself.”

“Yeah? And where will you get the blood? Sakura works in the hospital. Or Karin — she works in labs — whatever you want.”

“And yet it’s you here. Following me around…” Sasuke watched him through slitted eyes — he didn’t sleep well.

“…true, I followed Sakura only to find you. But I’m not Sakura.”

“I see that clearly.”

Familiars usually want to become vampires, but Naruto never asked of such thing. What he asks of him — for Sasuke to take his blood. The guy is crazy. Sasuke walks long corridors — from the hall to the kitchen where his stash of blood is hidden. His last supplier got him bad blood — watered down, aged. Unlike wine, aged blood tastes much worse than one taken from young people.

“Hey, if you prefer girls, I can dress up!”

Maybe eternal life isn’t so fun anymore and Sasuke isn’t the most patient person, but this game is his entertainment one. He remembers people begging them to spare their lives, but this one…

“You’re even worse than any of the girls from my fan club.”
“Hey, I’m still a guy, it was just an idea! All to make you comfortable.”

Frankly, Sasuke is tired — there’s food following him and the stale taste of blood from the fridge is barely sustains his appetite.

“If my fan club kills you, I won’t get more food. So it’s up to you to defend yourself.”

Naruto brightens like a child who got an expensive toy on his birthday.

“Yes!”

Little Sasuke knew that Naruto had all Sasuke’s fan club will lose the bet if Naruto wins Sasuke over — they will leave him and Naruto will have Sasuke all to himself.

Naruto Uzumaki can try and hide from him all he wants, but it’s hard to hide yellow hair. Uchiha was always true to their mission and their Shogun knew he can count on them. Without an order there will be chaos and the stranger Uzumaki Naruto very close to stirring a trouble.

No one should know about this, no one can know that Sasuke’s heart skips a beat when he sees the man with bright-colored hair and even brighter eyes.

No one should know he remembers him from his childhood — all who knew Sasuke back then are long dead. Or he thought so. So hearing about Naruto all these years after Sasuke had lost his family, is something equally exiting and scary.

No one should know that Sasuke looks for him everywhere, obsessed with fixing this problem. He must uphold the order, so the most logical thing would be to take him off the playing board. He is just a tool, keima in shogi — but Naruto is a kinsho — too loud, too bright, too dangerous.

Is there any way to win against him or should he just give up to him? Sasuke shall decide when he finds him. But he needs to move faster — others may get his head before Sasuke even has a chance to talk with him. And they have a lot to discuss.

Suddenly, Naruto fell to his knees right where he stood. He looked at Sasuke with his big blue eyes and Sasuke couldn’t breath. All his family was here, he saw Madara and Obito coming into the kitchen. Naruto hasn’t seen them, but Sasuke did and their gazes unnerved him. Then there was his mother covering her mouth in silent squeal.

“Sasuke, I know this is too sudden, but marry me?”

“Are you asking or suggesting?”

“I’m asking you: will you marry me?”

“But we… can’t.”

Technically – no. But this idea will haunt him now.

“Well, I’m actually working on it, but that’s not the point right now. Right now all that means is your answer.”

First kiss was a stupid accident because stupid Naruto got so full of himself! Sasuke can't forget about it for nearly a week and it takes him another month to stop associating miso with kisses.

The second time was entirely on him: he got too close. They fought for the first time and Sasuke won, but he still trembled — he nearly killed him and just to make sure he was alive... just for this.

The third time it happened, Sasuke told himself this was a cruel joke. They haven't seen each other for three years, but Sasuke would lie is he'd say he wasn't curious about Naruto's power. Could he match him? When he finally got into his head he was ready to see a lot of things, but not Kyuubi. Still, it was intriguing and he kissed Naruto just to make it hurt worse.

After Itachi's death everything went south. He made so many mistakes in his life at this point that when people started an open hunt on him, he wasn't even surprised. But all of them were no match for him.

No one was a match for him.

Except Naruto. Naruto who didn't understand what Sasuke wanted, so the fourth time it happened — Sasuke took what belonged to him. It wasn't like Naruto understood anyway. That kiss tasted like ash and a broken heart.

It's only when the nearly killed each other, when Sasuke was bleeding and too tired to flee, he gave up. He can't stop kissing Naruto and whatever would happen next, would either broke him down or save him.

Kiss woke him up in the hospital: light, tentative and shy — Naruto aimed for his forehead, but when Sasuke was strong enough to move his hand, Sasuke stole a warm touch of Naruto's lips and from this moment everyday was full of short breaks before they gravitated to each other again.

For the first time it happens, Naruto is almost scared to breathe. But he has to stay still and pretend he’s still sleeping.

Sasuke’s touch on his face is gentle, hesitant. And Naruto doesn’t understand
what’s happening after the touch is suddenly gone. Maybe Sasuke knew Naruto was just pretending to sleep. Naruto thinks about it for a whole ten minutes, but then he gets asleep for real — too tired to stay awake.

They’re on the mission outside of Konoha together with Sasuke. It’s been a bit over a year after Sasuke came back to the village from his travels. Naruto was so excited to see him again that he couldn’t contain himself — one thing, another — and they’re traveling together. It’s not like Sasuke was against it, but he told Naruto he will have to pace himself.

In reality, Sasuke was slow. Naruto had enough time to look around and explore
nearby villages. Sasuke shared his food, shared his time and shared his warmth.

When the next time Sasuke waited for Naruto to go to sleep earlier, Naruto was
ready. So when Sasuke lightly touched his cheek again, Naruto was here to catch him.

After living together with Naruto for a couple of years, Sasuke learns to be vulnerable behind closed doors. For Naruto, this is a whole new experience and he treasures it greatly. Sasuke trusts him enough to sleep in one bed.

But Naruto remembers that Sasuke is not a fan of noisy gatherings, so he doesn’t plan anything big for his birthday. He might’ve tricked Sasuke to have a dinner with Sakura and Kakashi — who abandoned his tower for a whole hour, but Sasuke doesn’t mind. Sakura was in charge of a present for Sasuke and Kakashi called it a joint project. They presented him kunai he once mentioned to Naruto off-handed. He didn’t even excepted him to remember.

But now it’s October and Naruto’s birthday— the big anniversary is coming soon. It will be a celebration of life — for him also, because he owes his life to Naruto. He doesn’t know how to call this fuzzy feeling in his solar plexus — but he wants to make this day special for him — and that means to survive through a big party. But first, he needs help — there’s one more person who’s not annoyed by the crowds. Frankly, he doesn’t have much choice: so he starts with asking help from Sakura. She’s on board, of course — she takes the task of notifying everyone else. Then he goes to Shikamaru— he eyes him strangely, but promises to bring Naruto to a designated place.

Sasuke didn’t think about food for long — in the end he just asks Teuchi to close down early. As soon as the old man hears about Naruto, he rejects half of the money Sasuke suggested him.

There isn’t much Sasuke can do: only to gather everyone around to celebrate Naruto. But Naruto’s soft smile is worth everything. Naruto knows that Sasuke worked a hard to adapt to his new life in Konoha and big gatherings are still a quest for him. But this small party are only for closest ones for their family of two.

And looking at Naruto blowing candles on a cake that Sakura and Ino baked for him, Sasuke can’t help but wish for Naruto to stay the same man he grew to love.

‘Icha Icha Paradise’ Director and Star Fell in Love While Filming an Ordinary Romance Movie: ‘We Share a Story’

From the acclaimed writer Jiraya and the director Naruto Uzumaki helped to rise him to the top, came a new hit movie that ends the trilogy of his Icha Icha series. Turns out the chemistry on the set was involved, but we just looked at the wrong people. Despite the popularity of an on-screen main couple, there’s nothing happening between Sasuke Uchiha (32) and Sakura Haruno (33) off-screen.

Haruno commented on the subject “Sasuke is a very attractive man and a true professional on set, but everything that happened on cameras was scripted. It’s just a movie, guys.”

As our readers might remember, Sakura Haruno is married to a MMA fighter Rock Lee (35). They tied their ties last year after dating for seven months.

However, on the day of the premiere in Konoha Cine, the director Naruto Uzumaki turned up with the male star of the movie Uchiha Sasuke and they spent all evening together; Sasuke never leaving Naruto’s side.

When asked for confirmation, Sasuke said:

“We were falling in love as he was finishing the script. He was always asking me things like, ‘What’s your favorite place in Konoha? Do you like plants?’ I was enamoured, but I also haven’t heard anything about his dating life, so it was really hard to navigate between friendly bander and an actual flirt. I wasn’t thinking about script at all. On the set I could only look at him, so at some point Naruto would stand directly behind Hinata or Sakura, so I would see him at all times. He was like, ‘I adapted the script for you. I was falling in love with you while I was falling in love with the character. You, just like him, needed just a few kind words’ It’s crazy.”
Uzumaki and Uchiha plan to marry in August in Uchiha’s native Konoha.

Indie Music Band AU

The club is packed today: after two years playing on students's parties and streaming on Twitch, Naruto and her band Kyuubi finally has a small army of fans. She has almost a thousand subs on Twitch — isn't it a success? Gaara — her bassist — helps her with track mastering. Kiba — the loud drummer — manages PR and band's Instagram. Overall it's going pretty good.

And while they do have haters, there aren't many of them. At least their fans are buying tickets.

Naruto loves watching their fans: all of them are different and he made friends with oldest ones. They often come first to stand closer to the stage. From the backstage she can see Hinata, Iruka, Kakashi, Ten Ten, Ino and Sai.

There's also another one who comes early, but Naruto can't quite catch her — she never stays to the end of the last song. But she managed to find out her name — Sasuke. Most of the time the girl looks like she hates to be here, but according to other fans who watch Naruto's streams, Sasuke is one of the moderators of her fanclub. Hinata sold her out.

Today is the day Naruto will catch her: she has a plan ready - she always wanted to be like one of these rock stars who step down into the crowd.

"I want to dedicate this last song for a very special fan - the one who never talks to me. The silent girl in red t-shirt. This song is called ‘Come back’."

And maybe Sasuke is fuming, maybe she's red in the face - but when Naruto comes down to sing for her some kind of strange serenade, she gives up. This crush is impossible to ignore, at least she can pretend the song is really for her.

It’s only when Naruto catches Sasuke when the other is trying to run away yet again — Sasuke’s too self conscious of her clammy cold hands — she realizes that the song is really for her.

Naruto’s lips are sweet and smell of cherry, how can she resist?

Time Travel AU

"If I die, we die together, Sasuke."

What a stupid thing to say. He has a nerve to imply something like this and for what? For another long speech about friendship? Now look where it took them: rinnegan made Sasuke an immortal and Naruto had reincarnated nine times. Not like Sasuke’s counting — he didn’t find all of Naruto’s reincarnations, but he managed to track eight different lives of Naruto Uzumaki. And Sasuke still didn’t die together with him like Naruto promised.

The first time they died together: even though they defeated Kaguya, the tree was still there and everything dies with the tree eventually. Well, Sasuke was ready to die, he thought he died -- instead he woke up on the other side of the world. He didn't come back, even though there were people who could be waiting for him.

He run away to another universe instead.

Sasuke ended second Naruto's life. He's not proud of it, but he let himself go and it didn’t look nice. He couldn't be in Konoha, he couldn't be with Naruto who got married again. So he just killed him.

He ran.

The third Naruto iteration was as bad as him — hateful and bitter. Sasuke tried to kill him, but barely got away. For the first time Sasuke felt dread, for the first time he didn't want to die — at least not like this — alone and from the hand of the man who always glorified him no matter what. He didn’t die of all the wounds he got, but it doesn’t mean they didn’t hurt. It hurt. Everything in him hurt — he let himself cry for someone except his family. He let himself cry because Naruto couldn’t be his family in this universe again.

So he changed it.

The fourth was a child and Sasuke has spent a couple of years guarding him, until he got adopted by a nice family. Watching him enjoy life, learning and growing helped him to make peace with himself — he loves every reincarnation of him — evil or small.

After this, Sasuke changed the timeline yet again.

The fifth was older than him, a man in his forties. The world around had drastically changed — people didn't have chakra. Naruto's family was alive and Uchihas never existed. Maybe it was for the better, Naruto looked happier.

Sasuke left after he saw another man. The man was slender, black hair, dark eyes — but it wasn’t Sasuke. There was only one Sasuke.

He has found sixth and the seventh too late, both were under the ground. He had stopped searching then and hogged himself in a desolate village.

The ninth had found him by himself. He was almost the same age Sasuke remembered him after the war — barely seventeen. Sasuke moved on his flame like a moth, he tried to insert himself into his life again. The idea was bad, but there isn't much he could do — eternal life was not for him. He'd rather watch him die twenty more times when he can, then be without him for another hundred years without him.

It’s not like he knows how to count anymore. He doesn’t how old is he now.

Sasuke looks at Naruto standing behind the counter of konbini. He must’ve stood too long here

"You're too late."

“What?" Sasuke doesn’t understand what’s he on about.

“You’re too late to rob the store, you know. My boss took all the money before my shift. And we haven’t a lot of clients today. And it’s almost 4AM, the sunrise is starting soon…”

Ninth Naruto is rambling, clearly creeped out by Sasuke’s demeanour. But Sasuke can’t stop looking at him: he’s alive and so bright. He missed him so much.

“No.”

“No? No as is you’re not gonna rob me?”

“I’m not gonna rob you. And the sun is here.”

“Okay, thanks.” Naruto blinks. “I mean what? Uh. Do I know you?”

“Maybe you saw me in another life.” Smooth, Sasuke. Real smooth. Sasuke finally drops his gaze. “I come here sometimes for resupply.”

Naruto instantly perks up.

“Wait! You’re the ghost from Uzushio shrine.”

Sasuke sighs. Apparently, he’s been away from people too long. They now consider him a town legend.

“I’m not a ghost.”

Naruto nods.

“Yeah, definitely not a ghost. Ghosts doesn’t eat that.” Sasuke looks at packaged ramen in his cart.

“Well, you’re welcome to my ghost lair to check what else ghosts eat.” Sasuke avoids direct gaze while he puts out the stuff he collected, it’s mostly instant noodles anyway. “We could even watch the sunrise.”

“I… uh. My shift ends in an hour.”

“I’m not busy this morning. I’ll wait.”

If Sasuke waited for a small eternity, he surely can wait for another hour till the sun will rise again to warm him up his heart a bit.

Chapter Text

Postwar, TW character death and time travel that lacks of logic

Naruto died during the war and for Sasuke it was the same as the war lost. When
he saw his body and felt how his chakra is leaving it, he didn’t stay — he run. Sakura’s tears, Kakashi pleas, everyone gazes on him — he didn’t care he had to
leave this place. If Naruto’s dead it means Konoha’s dead for him too.

He searched him in different universes for month — barely slept and ate only when
he couldn’t think, when he had finally found him. He felt power prickling his conscious.

He didn’t even wait, for other to sense him. He wanted to attack — they had unfinished business, but instead he hugged Naruto from behind.

“Just who do you think you are?!”

Sasuke clutches Naruto — he finally feels how exhausted he is, but it’s worth it. Oh, Naruto’s as mouthy as ever. Sasuke missed him so much. He had spent so much time looking for him in hundreds of different universes. His one and only. His friend and rival.

“If you won’t stop struggling, I won’t let you go.”

Naruto stops struggling for a moment. Just to check the theory — but Sasuke still doesn’t let him go.

“Where’s the logic?”

“Says Naruto.”

“How do you know me?”

“Concentrate.”

Naruto freezes. As promised, Sasuke lets him out of his hands, he gives him space
and Naruto immediately goes to touch his face, he uncovers his left eye and Sasuke lets his chakra flow around him.

“Wait… Wait! I can’t believe this. No way!”

“Finally got it, usuratonkachi.”

“Sasuke?”

Oh, no, his blue eyes are full of tears. That’s now what was supposed to happen and watching Naruto cry makes Sasuke heart so heavy — he’s good for nothing, useless…

“Sasuke!” The hug back is crushing and so welcome. Sasuke calls up to Susanoo
just to hug Naruto with both hands again.

“Mhm. That’s me. I won’t let you go anymore.”

Others can shout and try to fight him, but they will pry Naruto out of his cold hands
when his body takes a last breath. He went the wrong route once, he won’t let anyone to get in his way again.

At first Sasuke shared a small apartment with Naruto out of convenience, but even when more homes were ready for people to settle in, he just stayed in Naruto's living room. Naruto didn't ask, Sasuke just asked Kakashi to give his apartment to someone who really needs it — like people with children.

When Sasuke decided to guide the young generation — see — teaching at the academy, Naruto was surprised, but very supportive. Many had questions about his decision, but Kakashi, Tsunade and even Iruka both vouched for them — as well as Konoha's twelve.

Children loved Sasuke: both boys and girls worked hard to impress him and if they could make him at least raise one brow — it counted as a win. He would frequently sigh, because he had to get used to explain the same stuff a thousand times, but in the end it was worth it.

Time went by, Kakashi changed the ages and rules for the genin exams. Under Sasuke's supervision children learned not only some cool jutsu, but each of them were behaving themselves in a respectful manner. Sasuke would never say it out loud, but he was proud. He was strict, but fair. He never let anyone fall behind and didn't shame a kid for not getting something from the get-go -- he would never tell Naruto why, but after a few years living together, he didn't need to ask.

So, naturally, when the first exam rolled in, Sasuke finally got nervous. He had trained these children for nearly eight years. During this time, he started to share a bed with Naruto, Naruto himself became a Hokage a few years ago and they were almost married — if not in law, then in spirit. Sakura got married and became a mother, so did Shikamaru and Temari — many of their ex-classmates were excited for Sasuke to teach their children.

But now all of Sasuke's children were out there, having to fight each other. And when each of them won, he was visibly happy: he would jump from his chair just to look what's happening during the fight. Naruto was having the day of his life — somehow even after so many years together, he was still discovering Sasuke's different sides.

Except he was completely smitten when Sasuke suddenly jumped and kissed him in front of guests and officials. Don't get Naruto wrong — he loved Sasuke, but they weren't public. Only the closest knew about them, others just assumed they're roommates. Well, no hiding this now.

Gaara openly laughed, oh this was awesome — he finally got the opportunity to laugh at Sasuke Uchiha himself.

"Sorry, I got too excited." So very quiet unlike of him. Sasuke nearly fled, but Naruto was quick to grab his hand.

"Don't worry. Sit. Let's watch the next fight."

Sasuke looked around: no one even bat an eye. Except Gaara, maybe, but he expected no less from him. They barely could be in each other presence for a few years, but now everyone regards them as parts of a whole. He wonders how he missed this. They’re each other family — people doesn’t even question it nowadays.

6-16-33 Different ages of Sasuke and Naruto

For his thirties, Sasuke often feels very tired, but now when he has a small bundle of energy in his lap, he considers life a bit more bearable. He almost forgot how small Naruto looked like — absolutely adorable, squishy and loud. Sasuke tries to look neutral, not to scare a kid — but Naruto is Naruto, he’s not scared of a strange man in black cloak — he looks so sad so little Naruto just have to ask what’s wrong, but then the guy’s eye distracts him.

“Woah! Your eye is so cool!”

Somehow, a praise from a little child who didn’t see blood yet is more precious than everything else. He even lowers his voice, to appear less menacing.

“Is it? Want to know what it can do?”

“Yes!”

It takes all of Sasuke’s will not to squeeze a kid’s cheek.

“Give me a moment.” He flicks his nose instead. “Let me talk to others real quick — I don’t want them to fight. I’m sure you don’t want it too.”

Kid-Naruto looks around: there are four more people — Hokage-Naruto from his time, Naruto who beat adult and made him return to Konoha — he’s sixteen; and then there’s him as a kid who’s a freshman in the ninja academy and him as a manipulated avenger. What a fun company. He then looks at adult Sasuke again and whispers loudly:

“I don’t like fighting, but when other kids chase me, there isn’t much I can do…”

Sasuke would love nothing more than sit like this for hours and ask a kid about everything and anything — he’s not going to lie — feeling powerful and cool in his eyes is very uplifting. But he has to deal with this mess.

“Running away is not a bad thing, Naru-chan. You’re going to tell me about kids that bully you in a minute, alright?”

“Mhm.”

Sasuke sighs and looks at teens who are closer to him: an avenger trashing his saviour and only friend. Oh, how delusional he was.

“Naruto! What did you do?!”

“I didn’t do anything!”

Naruto is trying to break free, but it’s futile. He’s just a bit less powerful — that’s him before making his peace with Kurama, most likely.

“I just know it’s you! The genjutsu won’t dissipate!”

And then Hokage decides to intervene — maybe because as Hokage or as another adult.

“Uuuh, it’s not him. I think it was me. You see, I was experimenting on this thing…”

Maybe he’s trying to help, but there’s a small Uchiha tugging on his cape, he doesn’t like to be ignored.

“Are you a Hokage?”

“Oh, yes, I am!” Naruto crouches to be on the same level with the kid — just like adult Sasuke and kid Naruto — he gives him full attention instead of dealing with two unruly teens.

“Who let you to be a Hokage?”

“I fought for it!”

“Hmmm.” Small Sasuke scrunches his small nose. He probably thinks of another question to ask, but nothing comes to his mind.

Adult Sasuke raises his voice, so his own double would hear him.

“Hey, you — insolent kid,” His smaller copy meets his eyes. “Apologise this instant.”

“Who are you?” Sasuke makes a face — he takes no commands from anyone except Itachi, so this adult with Uchiha insignia on his clothes looks very suspicious.

“I am you, so you’re doing whatever I say. Or I’ll have to get up and then there won’t be any talking.”

Sasuke sees the teen fuming, but he doesn’t even wait for an answer. He turns to his Hokage instead — questions need to be asked, but adult Naruto beats him to it.

“Now, now… Sasuke, I’m sure he’s didn’t mean it like this. Also, ‘Naru-chan’? Really?”

Naruto laughing at him getting soft to a kid. Or maybe he’s jealous of himself— both reasons are stupid anyway.

“Shut up. And this one meant it, because he is me. I know what’s in his head. And you — the dumbest one here,” Sasuke looks right in the eye of the Avenger. “Stop pestering the teen. He didn’t do anything.”

“I won’t let you manipulate me!”

Avenger is practically seething like a snake he is — at least for now.

“Too late for that.” Sasuke breathes out and looks at his Hokage again. "Now, Hokage-sama, would you be so generous to explain to me why did you decide it’s a good idea to use a cloning jutsu on a time travel scroll?”

High School AU + Modern AU

Stupid Valentines Day, stupid girls, stupid Naruto for assuming… Wait, just what did he assume? Is this because Sasuke got so many chocolates?

This is so dumb — but Sasuke has to know. His initial idea is to find the jerk and beat out a confession out of him.

His plan had one flaw — he didn't think about what kind of confession he will receive.

For some time now Sasuke and Naruto were almost friendly with each other. But why did Naruto get so aggressive again after they finally had found a common ground? Sasuke wouldn’t call it a friendship yet, but they were getting there. After taking on that group of delinquents from the private school together, the euphoria was amazing. For the first time since Itachi had moved abroad, Sasuke had the same feeling of unity with someone. In a rush of the moment, they hugged and it was so nice -- to share the win with someone.

They started to greet each other in the corridors, but none of them looked for each other after the school. If they met accidentally, it was just a pleasant meeting.

But today is Valentine's Day and Sasuke got approached a lot: girls younger, girls older and of course the usual trio — Ino, Sakura and Karin. these three knew he gives out all his chocolates — it's not like he doesn't like it, but he doesn't want to eat ones that come from his schoolmates. And also it's not fair for everyone else, so he always shares with less lucky boys.

Naruto saw it and Suigetsu — damn his big mouth — invited him to join.

"Hey, Naruto! Sasuke shares his chocolates — girls give him a lot every year. You should join and try some!"

Naruto doesn't even replied, his face turned sour and he just ran off. The strange feeling of everything going wrong arisen within him. He shouldn't have reacted like that. And Sasuke just has to know why.

He finally finds Naruto on the roof — he lock was broken — what else would you expect from Naruto.

"Hey, you! What was that?"

After half an hour that Sasuke has spent looking for him, Naruto doesn't even turn around to look at him — the nerve.

"Nothing."

"No, it's not 'nothing'. What was with that face? You know I always share my chocolates..."

"I didn't know, okay?!"

"Why are you upset, anyway? Is it about Sakura again?" Naruto doesn't answer this time. And still isn't looking at Sasuke. "It's not like you gave me any chocolates!"

Sasuke steps closer, stands right behind Naruto, tries to look his in the face.

"Look at me when I'm talking to you!"

Naruto finally turns around, but his face is red and it's not anger. His eyes are glistening, he fiercely rubs them.

"Who are you to tell me what to do?!"

Wait. Wait, wait, wait. Sasuke's cheeks are starting to burn red against his will.

"Do you...? I mean, you wanted to give me chocolates?"

Oh, finally Naruto looks angry.

"Why do you care, you'd give them away anyway!"

"So you do have something for me. If it's for me it's mine!"

"Yeah? Well, you have to fight for it, I guess!" Naruto discards his coat — it falls heavy, there's something in the pocket and now Sasuke must have it. Just because he can take Naruto in fight, just because he's curious for the first time, just because there's a tiny opportunity that this is something Naruto got from some girl and Sasuke must have it.

Just because he decides he wants to own Naruto completely. And if he has to fight him — let it be.

“Just wear whatever, you’re a star — they love you anyway.”

Sasuke its’t good with praise, but at least he’s honest. Naruto is nervous: he undergo a rehabilitation after last year accident, then trained for half a year all by himself, alone on the track. Sometimes he still dreamed about being burned alive in his own car.

“Easy for you to say, when you’re so beautiful.”

“And you’re so stupid. I’m not a famous pilot here, Naruto.”

“Don’t add to the insult, Sasuke.”

Naruto can’t even imagine what would it be like — for Sasuke to be his rival. He’s so harsh sometimes, it unnerves Naruto. They’d definitely try to kill each other on track. Naruto realises how lucky he got with his stupid dare — he suggested his own life instead of some stupid handkerchief. It worked out, because Naruto is dumb, apparently.

“How don’t you realise that I wouldn’t be here with you if it won’t be… you? And, by the way, you are beautiful — girls watching you, you know.”

Ohhh, the’s having his ‘I’m not jealous’ jealous moment. On times like this Sasuke is like an open book.

“Hinata is my ex, Sasuke and we’re just friends now. ”

“And Sakura repeatedly asked you for the interview.”

It’s like Sasuke has there some kind of list of all the girls that looked at Naruto. Except that’d never happen — Sasuke doesn’t track anyone who talks to Naruto. His brother, Itachi, on the other hand is another case entirely — he’s a fan.

“Well, it just so happens that the girls are journalists… Also, Sakura does this only to see you on backstage. She asked me about you, remember?”

“Whatever.”

“Don’t make that face! You look even better when you’re jealous.”

“I see how Sai looks at you.”

“He looks like this at everyone! He’s team’s PR manager!”

“Doesn’t matter.”

It’s getting ridiculous. The only time they don’t bicker is when they kiss and sleep. But bickering with Sasuke is one of his favorite moments of the day.

“Why?!”

“I’m pretty sure, he’s bi.”

“And?”

“And you’re also bi.”

“Sasuke, my stupid childhood crush on Sakura doesn’t even matter…”

Naruto probably shouldn’t have even told him about this: him and his ex-classmate just so happen to got into the same space again. Sakura is working for a popular magazine and they used see each other every week in every city.

“It’s not like you’ve met my stupid childhood crushes though.”

Naruto makes a face.

“One of these day I’m going to tell Sakura you’re jealous of me because of her and…”

“…and we’re both going to bury you in the forest.”

“And have all the fun without me? No way!”

Maybe Sasuke shouldn’t have told Sasuke that Sakura asked about him — now he has this irrational fear she might jump on his boyfriend. Oh, no.

“You’re so annoying and…”

“And beautiful?”

“Let me finish! And dumb! And also beautiful, stop fishing for compliments.”

Shikamaru never knocks, he just invites himself as always. Sasuke had to learn this the hard way: he interrupted a number of their kisses and didn’t even blink and eye.

“Hey, trophy husband.” He nods at Sasuke, then looks at Naruto. “We’re ready to go live.”

Today is the day Naruto has to announce he’s coming back. Next season he will join others on the track. It’s exiting and just a little bit scary.

“Sasuke, the handkerchief.”

His boyfriend huffs.

“That’s stupid, you know. It was cute a year ago.”

“No,” Naruto smiles at him. “That’s my treasure.”

Sasuke steps to kiss Naruto, familiar and warm touch on the lips. Shikamaru is waiting.

“Go, surprise them!”

Menma watches his father’s talking about boring things— boiler, new bed, dusting… he suddenly feels very tired and he’s not sure if he’s dreaming — because if he is, he doesn’t want to wake up. He buries his nose into his dad’s chest and he can’t stop tears from spilling out.

“Menma?! What happened, baby? Something hurts?” It’s his dad.

“What’s wrong?” It’s his father. They both stopped talking about plumbing and he feels four hands around himself — one of these hands is glowing purple.

“He’s crying.”

“Why? Hey, little fox, what’s up with you?”

“I’m… I’m just so happy you c-came back. I thought- thought you’re never….”

“Oh, no, we’re never going to leave you for so long again. Promise.”

“Sasuke…”

“Shush!” To Menma. “Menma, we’re going to stay with you as much as we can. Or your dad will leave a clone, so you won’t be alone.”

Menma opens his eyes and looks at his dad, at his father touching his hands — his head lays on his dad’s shoulder. Tears are pouring out again, he can’t help it. He’s not alone, not alone. He has his parents with him. They sit with him, help him dress, cook him food and read books for him — he’s the luckiest boy in Kohona.

Death Stranding AU + No Ninjas + Different First Meeting

Preface: Sasuke is a meteorologist living not far from the incinerator. Only one left alive after his brother committed suicide. Naruto is a Bridges courier with a chiral baby named Menma. Plot twist: Menma is actually Sasuke’s younger brother that was taken from his mother’s womb prematurely (stillbaby).

“Come in.”

The door of the shelter opened. Naruto blinked.

Sasuke rarely even turned on the chiral video, but letting someone in? Naruto will never tell anyone about it. It’s going to be his little secret. Naruto barely can hide his excitement. His hands are a bit twitchy — he was so nervous only when he saw a giant tar beast that wanted to eat him.

The heavy door closed behind him and the corridor lit up with small yellow lights. He slowly made his way further, the corridors were very much like others in a typical shelter, but then he got into a big hall. There were stairs — one going up, others even further down. Sasuke was standing here on the bottom of the stairs that were leading on the top.

“Hey, thanks for havi…”

“Follow me.”

Sasuke guides Naruto up, higher and higher though the narrow stairs and after just a couple of seconds, they enter a huge hall — it’s a weather station dome — there’s so much air.

“Woah.”

“Sit.”

“Uh, okay?”

Sasuke goes to the panel near the wall, Naruto doesn’t really see what he’s doing there, but suddenly the roof starts moving.

“It’s going to start soon, in twenty minutes or so.”

“What’s going to start soon?”

“The northern lights. It’s not always you can see them down in the alley, especially when it’s raining.”

“You… Why? You said I’m annoying!”

“Nobody’s perfect.”

Oh, oh this makes Naruto’s head very light and his heart so frantic. Sasuke is making compliments and being so nice — no scowl, no grumbling.

“If I knew, I’d bring you something.”

“Like what?” Sasuke almost smiles.

“Like something nice.” Naruto blinks. “Oh, god, is it a date?”

Sasuke gives him a small smile.

“I don’t know. Just stay the night with me and we’re going to figure it out, I guess.”

Their bedroom was a mess: they overslept today — and for once it's Menma who had to wake them up. Both of them were trying to declutter the room until 2AM and at some point Naruto just fell asleep. Sasuke, too tired to argue just laid down on Naruto and he was out like a light.

Under the morning sun the chaos in the room became clear: various t-shirts on the floor, some coats on the chair, kunai on the windowsill. Who even brought it here?

Their bedroom tells a story: there's a mess on Naruto's bedside table, there's nothing on Sasuke's. When they started to share this room and this bed years earlier, everything was embarrassing and exciting. Some nights could barely make himself sleep, because he had been afraid that Sasuke may disappear in the morning. Sasuke, on the other hand always had the best sleep: no dreams, no anxiety. Just calmness and warmth, Sasuke got much more than he deserved.

And the sex — oh, yeah, it was awesome, until they got Menma. After this it became something they had to plan — but this only added the excitement.

"We really need to declutter."

"Oh, you think so, mister nine orange t-shirts?”

"Yes, I do, mister broody pants."

"My pants aren't... forget it."

"We're waiting for you downstairs, i'll start on the breakfast.”

Evening is ruined and now it's Sasuke who has to pay for it.

Sakura shouted so loud that Sasuke isn't even sure why does he have a headache — annoyance or noise. It's suffice to say that the whole street has heard her. He secretly hopes all of them stop talking to him for a couple of weeks, because himself, he needs time to get used to everything he has
learned today.

It was one of usual Sasuke's break when he came back to Konoha: to get a new assignment, maybe to see a friend he left here — his one and only, the brightest and the dumbest. Team seven got together again: Naruto ran away from his Hokage training and met him near the gates when Sasuke was getting close; then he drugged Sakura here and it almost felt like old times
for about an hour. Sasuke saw Naruto drinking, but he never thought that jinchuuriki could get drunk.

Until today, that is. Chaos unfolded: turns out, Naruto had a lot of things left unsaid.

"I never told you, but your eyes are so pretty."

This surely wasn't addressed at Sakura, because Naruto looked straight at Sasuke. And then Naruto didn't stop for good twenty minutes. After about a half though his passionate description about Sasuke's waist and how good he looks enraged, Sakura started screaming. Sasuke just sat here contemplating his life and was considering if he should give Naruto a chance or should he end them both right here.

And it's not lie Sasuke didn't know about it, but at this point he just gave up and now. Well, at least Naruto wouldn't marry Hinata now. So that's a plus.

"S'skeee... Where?"

"I'm here."

"Are we going home?"

"We are."

He didn't say anything until they stepped into a small apartment that belonged to Naruto. Kakashi said that Naruto gave up his big apartment for a family with children and took a small for himself instead. Typical Naruto — that what was always so confusing for Sasuke.

It's only when Sasuke was getting ready to sleep, he paused and looked a Naruto's sleeping face — so calm, so handsome. They will have to talk about it in the morning, but that's a problem for tomorrow. Now Sasuke can let himself relax beside Naruto.

Chapter Text

Sasuke is afraid to move: he doesn’t know what will happen if the kid wakes up. He might cry and wake up everyone. It’s better if they just lay down to sleep. Naruto isn’t so gentle though: he picks up a child and sits on the edge of the Sasuke’s bed.

“Scoot.”

“What?”

“Scoot, we’re going to sleep.”

But it’s not enough room for the tree of them. He tries to articulate it, but Naruto’s eyes bore into his very soul. He moves closer to the wall to make room for Naruto and the kid. Naruto puts the kid between them and lays down with his back facing the door.

It’s so strange: there’s another living breathing human between them and it’s so small. Sasuke watches how the small chest rises. Then he feels the touch on his face – Naruto is watching him, his thumb under his eye.

“I mean it, Sasuke, live with me.”

And it’s not like Sasuke doesn’t want, but somehow it feels egoistic – to want, to steal Naruto all to himself – but there isn’t right words for it.

It’s long past the scheduled bedtime, so Naruto falls asleep very quick. Sasuke lays here for long minutes, but the sleep doesn’t come.

Until he feels a presence outside the room, he knows the chakra, but he decides to wait. The child sleeps between him and Naruto, Sasuke feels the heat radiating from him. Presence grows closer, then there’s a minute of stillness. He opens the eyes and meets Sakura gaze, she almost jumps when met with the Sharingan.
They both keep silent, only Naruto’s quiet snores can be heard in the morning light. Sakura blinks, her brows furrow, she bits her lips. Sasuke slowly puts his head closer under Naruto’s chin, nuzzles his chest and clutches a child closer to himself. As if feeling a movement, Naruto clutches Sasuke’s waist and grunts lightly — then his breathing calms down. Sasuke checks if the child isn’t smashed between two of them and raises his eyes to watch at Sakura again — she doesn’t meet his gaze anymore and he decides to close his eyes and pretend sleep. Not a minute later he hears her leaving the room and closing the door quietly— not to disturb anyone.

After this he’s out like a light.

If You Go Down, Then We Go Down Together Ch.6

Alpha/Alpha

This is the first time they fight after they’re out of the hospital. This is supposed to be a goodbye party, but Naruto is just asking for a beating.

What else does he want? He already beat him once.

“Are you here to stop me again?”

“Maybe.”

“You won. Wasn’t it enough?”

No, it wasn’t enough. After ten minutes tossing each other in dirt, Sasuke doesn’t want to give up, but he’s barely hanging — Naruto is stronger at it rubs him the wrong way. Especially because Sasuke doesn’t want to fight anymore — he can’t have him and he can’t fight him — what a pathetic alpha. But when Sasuke is waiting for Naruto to release his pheromones, Naruto bites him instead — closely to his gland too and Sasuke panics. He smacks Naruto in the head, but the other just growls lowly.

“What are you doing?! I’m not an omega!”

“I know, Sasuke. I know and I don’t care.”

“There’s… There’s Hinata waiting for you. I saw you.”

“I don’t want her, Sasuke.”

Naruto does release pheromones, but it’s not dominating — but calming instead.

“You’re stupid as always.”

“Stupid for you.”

Some day alphas are dumb and following their instincts like rabid animals. Naruto’s rubbed off him apparently, because he his Alpha got excited.

Whoever said that home is not a place but a person was just lucky to find such person. Sasuke just didn’t want to admit he got vulnerable. He didn’t have a place to come back — no home, no family, only one person who still wanted to see him rain or shine. Even Sakura who had a crush when they were children, tried to kill him once and Sasuke would also kill her if not for Naruto. Kakashi, his teacher was ready to kill him.
Naruto.
Naruto.
Naruto.
He runs like there’s a horde of Anbu after him. He needs a visual confirmation that Naruto, his Naruto is there. He needs him to babble and laugh, to be recognised, to check now much did he change, if he spoiled the whole unsteady thing between them. If he actually managed to kill that shaky friendship between them. Sasuke would do with a few crumbs of affection — it’s alright with him.

Maybe it’d be better to sleep again. Sasuke crawls closer, puts his nose into Naruto’s pillow. It smelled like his shampoo and there was something else. Maybe sweat, maybe their soap — it definitely smelled like Naruto. Sasuke felt like he travelled in time back into the hospital room where they’d been together — he’s all alone again and there’s only a trace of Naruto around him.
He tries to touch himself. He’s hesitant: he never did it alone for his own pleasure, but Naruto’s hands on him felt pleasant.
It gets better after he jerked off. It made him sleepy and slow, so by the time he buried himself in the sheets that were smelling with Naruto — he was worn out. Lulled by a familiar scent, he dozed off when the sun was starting to rise.
When Naruto came back, he hugged him for good ten minutes.

“Did you think that I’ll be gone forever?”

“I was scared they will take you away.”

So strange how Naruto believed Sasuke: that he wouldn’t leave. So many people doubted him all the time, except this blockhead.

Do you know how the sun smells on the warmed up skin? There’s a tang of road dust and forest, there’s sweat and wind. For Sasuke it’s a safety cloak.

Sasuke tucks his nose just under Naruto’s ear and takes a breath. The other shuddered and laughed quietly:

“Aw, it tickles.” Then he hugged Sasuke back and laid his head on his shoulder. “I missed you too.”

They stand here for a couple of minutes, Naruto doesn’t say anything else; he only pats his waist lightly — as if calming him down.

After five minutes maybe, Sasuke lets him go, but doesn’t walk away — he touches Naruto’s cheek and looks at him — catching his gaze. Naruto is like a deer in a headlights — bit worried to make any hectic moves, so he just waits for Sasuke to make his next move.

Apparently Sasuke decided something and touched Naruto’s lips and poor Naruto held his breath until…

…until Sasuke moved away and took all the warmth with him. He made a few steps down the corridor and then turned around.

Naruto is a lab experiment, Sasuke stole him and tried to smuggle him to the pirates, but changed his mind. A doctor who worked on Naruto’s project saved both of them. They finally have a quiet moment after a stressful day full of chase and bloodshed.

“Thanks for playing along.”

Naruto whispers loudly — he’s still not used to be outside, everything was new to him. Sasuke watches him look around curiously — he’d never been on the big ship.

“Why did you lie?”

Naruto turns to him, watches openly.

"I don’t want them to know. I don’t want them to see me like I am, I mean, I’m strange. I lived in a lab my whole life…”

Sasuke walked these corridors every day, they were a wall apart, but if not for Itachi, he wouldn’t know.

"Are you embarrassed?”

Strange that the creature grown in the lab, never taught social norms — apart a few, thanks to a man that gave him a name, suddenly feels embarrassed.

There was a time when Sasuke had to adapt to live and fight using only one hand he doesn’t know how to function without Naruto beside him — he is his heart and his strength. 1. The hokage's secret

“You never told me.”

Sasuke breaches the topic by himself, he just needs to know the answer.

“Never told you what?”

“That you had panic attacks because of me.”

Well, the day has come when Kakashi sold Naruto out. If Obito would be alive, he’s sell Naruto out much earlier. It’s not the most pleasant memory for Naruto, it haunts him — a moment of weakness, a moment of defeat — and everyone was here to witness it. Everyone, except…

“Oh, um. That doesn’t matter anymore, because you’re here.”

Naruto can’t look Sasuke in the face, he doesn’t want to see his disappointment.

“It matters to me! You talked a lot of nonsense about power of friendship and forget to mention you had a breakdown.”

When Naruto’s anxious or angry, he hides his neck into the shoulders —just like he’s doing now. His face is scrunched as if he’s in pain.

“Why would it matter now? It didn’t matter then!”

Maybe Sasuke shouldn’t have asked, but the deed is done now.

“So, what, you were just going to keep it a secret forever?”

“What do you want from me, Sasuke?”

“Why don’t you hate me? I’ve done so much harm to you and others…”

“How can I hate you if I loved you all this time?”

Suddenly, it’s hard to breath. Even when Sasuke demands something from him, even when he’s getting on Naruto’s nerves, Naruto is just…

“I hurt you. I hurt you so much and…”

“You’re not hurting me now. This is all that matters to me. You being here beside me heals me, helps me to breath.”

There’s a small smile and it’s like the argument is forgotten.

“You… I’m sorry, Naruto. I can never repay you for everything you’ve done for me.”

“I’ll accept your apology if it makes it easier for you. But Sasuke, you don’t owe me anything. I will give you everything you want willingly, for free, no catch.”

Sasuke choked on air and tried to hold it down — he can’t lose control over his emotions now. It’s be too embarrassing. The guilt crushes on him like a ton of bricks. He didn’t feel like this since his family was killed, because he barely learned to live with the thought that Naruto is his family. Naruto is his home. And he poisons everything around him.

“Stop it. Don’t blame yourself for anything.”

It’s like Naruto reads his mind. Naruto takes his hands — cold and shaking into his — warm and strong. There’s something in Sasuke’s eyes, he blinks, but the vision only worsens.

These hands are on his face now and then Naruto is so close — almost nose to nose.

“Don’t cry, Sasuke, please. I didn’t want to tell you, because I was scared.”

“Scared of me?”

No answer. Which is an answer itself. Sasuke wants to run away, but he can’t act like he’s eight anymore.

“I was… I was scared you’ll think that I’m weak.”

This makes Sasuke finally react.

“No! You’re not weak! You beat me. You beat me and I surrendered to you.”

Maybe Sasuke looks ridiculous now: red eyes, tears flowing down his cheeks, but Naruto secret smile worth everything. He moves and Sasuke meets him halfway — in a tight warm hug. He’s home and he’s forgiven.

Noir Detective AU + No Ninjas + Different First Meeting

The whole point of infiltration to the band was to watch Taka group from the inside. He watched how Sasuke Uchiha worked day by day and he couldn’t find any dirt on him. This was dangerous: liking this man would deem his useless — what a policeman he is.

That is until Sasuke finally made a wrong move. Naruto should’ve seen it coming: every time he finds a great new friend everything turns to dust — his partner Neji got killed because he thought of himself too much. He wasn’t a bad man, but he wanted everything and he wanted it quick — that was his ultimate demise. Sometimes Hinata’s crying face still haunts Naruto at night.

This city doesn’t remember its people — all of them just the crowd, another light from a billion blinking neons on the Main Street. It’s only of people see each other, it’s only if someone cares to remember them — then the city will know them too. Naruto can’t do it alone, so he asks Sasuke to follow him.

They should’ve eloped: Naruto knew where to hide. Instead he decided to come clean which brought them to the current predicament: they love each other too much to kill each other.

One day, maybe, they will slit each other throats. But for now Naruto lives on these stolen moments and until Sasuke comes back to him, it’s worth the risk.

“So, I guess your recent heist went well?”

“What sold it away?”

“They doubled a bounty on your head.”

“Worth it. I got Danzo.”

“Will you tell me what he did? I mean, he wasn’t the best Hokage and captain Yamato said that he hated that I slipped out from the Konoha…”

“He wanted to kill me and the feeling is mutual.”

“Hah, at least you’re honest about your feelings. Itachi would’ve…”

“I have to go. Good luck chasing international terrorists.”

Sasuke almost smiled, almost. This is more than Naruto was counting on. They will have to get back to their roles when the dawn breaks. Under the blue sky they are rivals, their shared secret is safe only while it’s dark.

“See you soon, Sasuke.”

And if Sasuke never repeated those words again, it’s because he’s scared this would be the last thing he says to Naruto. They both know it.

Naruto hated to lose and what made it even worse — he lost the bet to the Uchiha. Well, if he had to wear a skirt to the Halloween party in his own home, he was going to be the sexiest guy in a dress. He’s the host after all!

He couldn’t ask his mother — no way in hell. She would laugh at him till he’d turn fifty and she would also rat him out to his father… and his father was known for collecting an album of his most embarrassing photos. Like that one where he was crying because he fought with Sasuke when they were four. No, just no.

Sakura, Ino and Karin were out of question— they were Sasuke’s fanclub, so there was no way he could ask them.

There was only Hinata left, but there was a chance he’d stop speaking to him after the party.

Hinata was surprised to say the least, but she agreed to help, so he was saved.

And there he was: in a dress thrifted from one of Hinata’s female friends, because Naruto’s hips are wider than usual. At some point while dressing up, he thought that maybe it’s too much — but bet is a bet.

But in the end it was worth it. Who knew that guys in dresses make Sasuke’s knees tremble? It was Naruto’s first blowjob, but not the last — Sasuke got better with each time. And if Naruto liked to choke him going faster, Sasuke never complained, only whined and teared up a bit.
