So, we decided to create a spinoff where the heroes and autobots can bond. We just hope that you can enjoy it.
With that, let’s get onto the chapter!
Transformers Rivals: Anthology
One
A day in Limbo
Near the fields of what some considered to be a nightmare escape portal opens up and coming out of the said portal reveal two beings that walk through it. The latter one looks around in a bit of a surprised look while the former just passes it off.
“Sheesh, this is Limbo?” The big red bot asks.
“Da. This is my home, after all.” Magik responded.
Sideswipe looks around and he can’t help but to feel a little freaked out. “I hate to admit, but this reminds me so much of The Pit back on Cybertron, even worse.”
“Well you came with me,” Magik countered as they continued to walk towards her castle.
“You know, Optimus would have been better in coming with us so he can arrange some sort of dealing with you,” Sideswipe said as he walked beside her.
“Hey he was busy doing Shield training and stuff,” Magik reminded him.
“Bumblebee, Ironhide, Warpath, Cliff?” Sideswipe countered as he listed them off his fingers.
“Bees with Cloak and Dagger, Spider man, and other guys like him, Ironhide is cranky and has to deal with Hulk, Logan, and thing, Warpath I wouldn't trust because of that loud gun, and Cliff, well, let's say that I don't want some idiot turning him into a zombie.” Magik explained why she didn't choose any of them walking among some demons as they were looking at them.
“Are these guys looking at me with a hungry intent?” Sideswipe asked as he got his arm blades ready for a fight.
“If one gave them an excuse, yeah but since you're with me, not really.” Magik answered as her sword shone as the demons backed down. Sideswipe carefully puts one of his arm blades away as they enter Magic castle.
Her castle was somewhat in ways a bit dark and gloomy, a bit darker than Magik’s suit.
“Man, you gotta make this place more lively.” Sideswipe commented.
“What makes you say that?” Magik raised an eyebrow. Her castle was completely fine.
“Kaon had more color than this place, and that’s the only praise I'm gonna give it besides that being the heart of the Deception army and home to many bad things,” Sideswipe answered honestly, trying to ignore the fact that he felt stares aimed directly at him, like if he was gonna be new prey.
The Limbo Queen just let out a few laughs. “You know, you remind me of my fellow X-Men called Shadowcat, or Kitty as I call her.”
“Kitty? Why is she called Kitty, better yet why Shadowcat?” Sideswipe asked as he blinked at that statement made by Magik.
“We…have history,” Magik admitted with a slight blush, while Sideswipe gave her a look of confusion as to why she blushed.
“What… kind of history?” Sideswipe asked as he partly dragged out the what a little, partly being careful of not to go too reckless, he learned that during the war and Fall of Cybertron that Recklessness can get someone killed. Sure he may have been Reckless so did his twin brother, but at least they were good about it.
Before Magik could answer they were approached by a minion who made a few scabbling sounds. “Oh, when will it be ready?”
The minion scrabbled some more before Magik nodded as the minion left which left Sideswipe confused even though he had a system that allowed Cybertronians to understand any language. “What was that thing saying?” He asked his friend.
“Oh we have some stuff that’s gonna be ready soon,” Magik answered as they walked up to her throne room as she continued her conversation from earlier, “As for my history… Let's just say it's a long one.”
“Let’s hear it.” Sideswipe spoke as Magik nodded.
“Well let’s just say before I was the queen of Limbo, I was just a normal mutant girl.” She began to tell her story while Sideswipe raised an eyebrow at her, “That changed when I was seven when I was taken. Raised in a hell dimension. Time moves differently there. I spent seven years in the span of seconds. Trained by demons. Betrayed by them. Killed some. Became their queen. I forged my soul into a sword—the Soul Sword. It cuts through magic like it's air. Sometimes, I think it cuts deeper than that. After escaping I told everyone what happened, and well… It was kitty and Colossus that helped me through that rough time.”
Magik took a moment to compose herself as she got ready to speak again, “So I became an X man and earned respect throughout the team. We've been through many rough times, I've been through rough times, but Kitty helped me through them, as did my big bro when he wasn’t. But when Kraoka came around, things here got a bit tense and I had to come back here, much to Kitty’s, Pitor’s, and my friends dismay, ”
“Damn, that’s rough, buddy,” Sideswipe said, earning an eyebrow raised from the Limbo Queen. “Sorry. Just wanted to use a reference from that Avatar show Luna and the other youngsters seem to enjoy.”
“Hmm, should have known. What about you? You got any siblings?” Magik asked which Sideswipe swiped his head towards her who looked at him before he turned his head away as he thought his answer carefully.
“Yeah I have one... His name is Sunstreaker, my twin bro,” Sideswipe responded as he remembered his brother.
“What’s he like?” Magik questioned Sideswipe and closed his eyes at the memories of his brother before he spoke.
“Well he’s the kind of bot who before battle or when he has time polish himself, so he can blind you with it. Vain, arrogant? Maybe like me, but the thing is like me, he’s got the skill to back him up. Somehow he’s one of the best hand to hand fighters, maybe even with guns. We bicker like siblings yeah, he calls me reckless because of my arm blades, I call him Narcissistic. When scrap hits us, he always back’s us up. He’s more loyal to the Autobot cause, and even to me when I ever needed a hand.” Sideswipe explained as he had flashbacks at the times before the war when they were both twinspark bros, and during the war before Sideswipe joined Optimus and Bumblebee to rescue Zeta prime and the other Autobots, before he frowned, “There was a time where his loyalty was tested once.”
“What do you mean?” Magik asked as she was a bit concerned about loyalty being tested on Sunstreaker.
“When we were leaving our home when the core shut down, Sunstreaker was alone in a small part of Iacon when Starscream came to him, this was when Sunstreaker couldn't believe we were abandoning our home.” Sideswipe began to recount the tale as he remembered the argument he had with Sunstreaker.
“He went to be out and alone for a while so vent himself a little. He didn’t realize that Starscream was in the area and overheard our little talk… So Starscream tried to make a deal with him, help him overthrow Megatron and keep us grounded, in exchange, he’ll order the Deceptions to leave us alone. It was tempting to Sunstreaker to say the least. and he almost considered it.” Sideswipe continued as he recounted what happened.
“Damn. Can’t say that I feel sorry for you.” Magik spoke with sympathy because that’s how she felt about her brother Colossus that had similar hard times. “It must have been hard on you and your brother.”
“Least he didn’t go through with it,” Sideswipe assured her, “He alerted us after thinking about it because of one good reason. He may be a narcissist to some but he cares about us fellow Autobots. But I think it was after that he decided to get on one of the transports and leave. He said he needed to be away from the war in order to feel better about it. So after we did our bro hug and stuff, He left. I think that’s when I matured a little. I’m still reckless but I think without Sunstreaker, I just sort of grew up.”
A silent later between the two as Magik took this all in, it’s trust that she and her brother had some… problems but at least they were fine but hearing sideswipe stories about his bro… that was a lot.
“So…” Magik cleared her throat. “You down for some Limboi version of Pizza and play some Halo?”
“Um… what?” Sideswipe asked as he raised an optic at this question.
“A popular game back on Earth. One that I kinda got myself into” Magik explained as she summoned her minions to cook pizza with her favorite toppings. “C’mon, the gaming set has been set up.”
Sideswipe looked at what Magik was referring to and was amazed by what he saw. “Woah…” He was hit with a sense of a hymn that sounded very angelic.
“What is this?” Sideswipe asked with a sense of wonder.
“My gaming setup.” Magik explained as she sat down on her bean bag which caught him off guard.
“Um isn’t a queen of limbo anymore… I don’t know the throne?” Sideswipe inquired
“Eh. I let my minions do whatever. I call this my home.” Magik assured him as she grabbed her controller. “You want to play?”
Sideswipe looked at her and showed his hands to say, ‘how with how big I am?’
“Don’t worry, I already told my minions that you need a controller,” Magik spoke and the two saw the doors opened. There, her minions carried what seems to be a very big controller. “There you go. I’ll teach you all of the controls.”
Sideswipe saw the controller and looked to her, “Did you by any chance use Pym particles or some sort of spell?”
“Pym Particles.” The Limbo Queen bluntly stated. “Don’t worry, they can make more.”
Sideswipe looked at her before shrugging as he took the controller and sat down with her.
A few hours later...
“Damn!” Magik grunted as she took a bite of her pizza. “And I would have thought I’d destroy you in Slayer!”
Sideswipe snickered a little as he didn’t want to reveal the secret to why he and the others were good at this besides just the war. “Well, better luck next time.” He looked at the Pizza the minions provided. “Should I take a bite or…”
“I’d rather take the bite.” Magik advised him as he rubbed his head a little as he was wondering how to say it.
“Um we can’t eat biological food, and can only eat Energon.” Sideswipe admitted as Magik gave a look of surprise.
“Well…This is awkward,” Magik admitted. She wasn’t sure if she should have that Pizza. “Could my minions have it instead?”
Sideswipe gave a look of why not as he and Sideswipe stared at each other before they both shrugged. They had to get going anyway because they were needed back at HQ.
“Well this was a fun experience, do you think we’ll see kitty, Pitor or Sunstreaker?” Sideswipe asked as Magik was a bit unsure of the future.
“Maybe, but we have one thing that Cap and Optimus inspire, that I’m beginning to learn myself. Hope.” Magik answered as they both got out of the Castle and began to head off.

Now, onto the notes…
Jojobinks01: Yeah We know we can’t explore most characters fully, and within the main story so we decided to do like a side story thing.
Crimson Soldat: So, we decided to make this as an anthology to at least give some seasons of originality. Hope you’ll enjoy this.
Galactia: there’s always something big going on, but we forget the little things and that’s what the story is about addressing the little things.
