Bucky sighed, bowing his head. “What’s the alternative? We hide out here for the rest of our lives?”
Steve shrugged. “Would that really be so bad?”
“It wouldn’t be fair to you.”
“And literally anything that has happened to you was?”
“You don’t need to throw away your life for me.”
Steve laughed, rubbing his hands down his face. “I’d throw away anything and everything for you, Buck. That’s what you don’t get. Until the end of the line, remember?”
