Chapter Text
Skulduggery parked the Bentley and got out of the car. No one was around, so he didn't activate his façade.
I hope Valkyrie never finds out about this Skulduggery thought as he unlocked his apartment door and stepped inside. As soon as he was in, two kittens came bouncing over to him, clearly exited.
"Alright just hold on," Skulduggery said, "let me just role up my sleeves and then I'll give you attention."
After Skulduggery had done that, he sat down on the floor and started to play with the two kittens. He had gotten them about a week ago, after seeing them in a 'for free' box on the side of the road. And feeling like they needed someone to take care of them, he stopped and picked them both up. There was still cat hair in the Bentley after profusely trying to clean it out.
"Alright, alright. Get off me now," Skulduggery said, but neither cats did. "Fine then, if you get off, I'll feed you."
That seemed to get their attention, so they jumped off of him and scrambled over to the kitchen. Skulduggery had put in an actual kitchen for Valkyrie, but now there was more food in there for the cats instead of her.
When he walked into the room, the cats were already sitting in front of their bowls, waiting for food. He laughed and went over to the cupboard to grab out a bag of cat biscuits and wet food. He split the contents of the can in half and gave them one each then put half a scoop of biscuits on their bowls too.
"There you go. Now I'd love to stay longer, but I agreed to have lunch with Tanith even though I can't eat"
The cats didn't seem to bothered by this, or they just didn't hear him, cause they just kept eating their food way too fast.
"Well then, I'm off. You two behave yourselfs and don't cause trouble! Understand?"
Surprisingly enough this time he got a meow back from them both before they started stuffing their mouths with food again.
"Good! Now, bye bye!" Skulduggery said before finally leaving the apartment again
