Chapter Text
Savanaclaw
Leona Kingscholar
Leona never cared for Christmas. He didn't think he ever would. It was just a period of time dedicated to unnecessary stress and hassle, with all too much attention on family. Family which he still maintains a complicated relationship with, unbeknownst to them. So the idea of Christmas arriving, and pressure applying for him to return home to spectate his brother and nephew far too happy for his liking, killed him. However, the difference this year, was he had you. He got to spend the holidays with someone he genuinely cared for. Someone he doesn't mind making a fuss of (to a certain degree, he still wants to sleep most of the day). So after temporarily taking his wallet back from Ruggie, he realised he actually needed to put effort into thinking of a gift for you. Something that didn't just seem like he was throwing money at or got Ruggie to buy for him. Something you would genuinely like. And that was beyond difficult for him. He overthought it all too much.
Ruggie Bucchi
Waking up in Ruggie's home was different for you, but it was nice. You got to spend a lot of time with him and his grandmother in the kitchen, preparing a meal smaller than many would be today. But it didn't seem to matter to either of them. Despite not having many presents (aside from the ones Ruggie bought using Leona's card), or a big tree with beautiful decorations, they were still happy. And that honestly warmed your heart. Instead of Christmas being some superficial, consumeristic holiday, it was truly spent cherishing your time together. Which is what it was meant to be all about. So spending Christmas discovering different recipes Ruggie's grandma has perfected over the years using as minimal ingredients as possible was more rewarding than you could've imagined.
Jack Howl
Jack loved Christmas more than you realised. For him, it was time spent with his family in the snow. His parents would spend far too much effort on a ginormous lunch while he and his younger siblings would be out playing in the snow. So this year, when he got to share that time with you, he was beyond excited. He brought you to the Shaftlands with him, meeting his very welcoming (and insanely buff) family. You got to spend time with his siblings, messing around in the very cold and snowy forests. Then coming back to eat a meal unrivalled to anything you've eaten before. However, your favourite part had to be when you got to cuddle up with Jack next to the fireplace, using his fur as a blanket for its full potential.
