Chapter Text
"What the HELL, is wrong with you!" Dorcas glared angrily at her best-friends, scratch that, ex-best friends, Regulus, Barty, and Evan. "Why in the name of Merlin would you join the Death Eaters!"
Marlene rubbed her forehead, already realizing this interaction would not be ending well. A few days ago, in the middle of an Order meeting, they had received intel from one of their spies, that those three were official Death Eaters. Dorcas was extremely upset after learning so, they were her best friends back in Hogwarts. She eventually decided to confront them, along with Marlene, Evan's sister, Pandora, and her boyfriend, Xenophilius. So here they were, confronting them in some sketchy alleyway in the middle of Knockturn Alley.
"Why would you do that, Evan?" Pandora couldn't look her twin brother in the eyes. "After the whole speech you gave back in 6th year about not becoming like our father?"
"Look, Pandora, I can explain---"
"Explain what? That you joined some genocidal group that wants to wipe out people simply because of their blood status? You're just like our father! In fact, you're even worse!"
Evan lowered his gaze, pretending like the comment didn't sting. He hated his asshole of a father, and had vowed to never become like him, only to be reminded that his actions did he opposite.
"I never wanted to join...I did it cause Regulus and Barty joined. And we all know Barty joined to spite his father."
He had no interest in joining the Death Eaters. However, Barty had joined, to piss his father off, and so had Regulus, to please his family, or maybe he truly believed in it. Love, and peer pressure, makes one do crazy things.
Dorcas turned to Regulus. "How long?"
"Since I was 16. Youngest Death Eater to ever join." Regulus smirked, proudly.
"Not surprised about that." Marlene muttered under her breath. "Sirius was always talking about how you were just like the rest of your family."
Regulus pretended he never heard that.
"Holy shit, Regulus, you're actually evil." Dorcas was horrified.
"Shut up, Dorcas." Regulus hissed. "Go hang out with McKinnon, and those other two mudbloods if you hate your Death Eater friends that much."
"Well, that's exactly what I'm doing. And don't call them that! They're far better people than you would ever be."
Everyone fell silent for a few moments, unsure what to say. Letting out a frustrated sigh, Dorcas got up from her seat, grabbing Marlene's hand, ready to leave. Pandora and Xenophilius got up as well. Just as the four reached the door to the exit, the lights in the room suddenly turned off, everything becoming pitch black.
"What the--" Pandora muttered, hand searching the front pocket of her robe, for her wand. It wasn't there. "Guys does anyone here have my wand? I can't find it!"
As everyone searched their robes for their wand, they came to one horrifying realization. Someone had taken their wands, while they were distracted. But who?
A soft green light barely illuminated the room, revealing a symbol they were all far too familiar with. A skull...with a snake coming out of it. In other words, the Dark Mark.
"Did you guys set this up!" Marlene snapped.
"No, we didn't!" Barty was confused. "We have no idea what the hell's going on!"
Suddenly, a spell was shot from somewhere in the room, all seven of them finding themselves tied to a pole, with a rope. To their horror, someone cast a Stupefy, knocking them all out. A couple of hours later, they woke up, caged in pod-like cells, in a dark, musty, unfamiliar room.
"Well, well, well, look what we have here." A woman's voice filled the room, giggling like a maniac.
Regulus and Pandora paled instantly, recognizing the voice. The lights in the room turned on, revealing none other than their cousin Bellatrix, along with her husband Rodolphus, and his brother Rabastan. The three moved aside, revealing a fourth man behind them. He was bald pale, porcelain skin, with slits on his nose instead of nostrils, and burning-red eyes.
Marlene, Dorcas, Pandora and Xenophilius paled, seeing Voldemort in the flesh.
"My...my lord." Evan panicked, instantly bowed down. "What is the meaning of this? Why have you captured all of us?"
"I understand capturing those four blood-traitors." Regulus added. "But me, Evan, and Barty? We're your loyal servants."
"I'm not too sure about that." Voldemort rolled his eyes. "Bellatrix here, has informed me of some...circumstances...regarding your joining of the Death Eaters."
"If you wanted to join the Death Eaters, it should've been because you truly support the cause. We don't want filthy blood-traitors joining now, do we?" Bellatrix murmured.
"This is ridiculous." Regulus yelled. "I joined because I believed in the Dark Lords ideologies!"
"I know that, Reggie, but you must be punished, for associating with these people. Meeting your ex-friend, who happens to be an Order member, and a blood-traitor, is...shameful... to say the least. Aunt Wallburga and Uncle Orion would be ashamed." Bellatrix moved her wand, tilting up Regulus' chin. She then turned to Pandora. "Pandora dear...you were my favorite cousin...it's a shame you chose to associate with these people."
Sirius was right. She's actually a psychotic bitch. Regulus thought mirthfully.
"Tell me, my lord. What should we do with them?" Bellatrix asked. "Torture? Kill? Even better, both?"
"Calm down, Bellatrix. I have a better idea." Voldemort waved her off lazily. "You see, I've recently taken a liking soap opera. It's so beautifully tragic, it makes me happy."
"What're you suggesting?"
"Let's turn their lives into one."
"WHAT!" Yelled everyone who was held captive.
"Let me finish, you foolish people." Voldemort glared. "As I was saying, you guys will sing, and compete against each other. The loser dies."
The room erupted into noise and chaos, the obscenest swear words being thrown around everywhere. It got to the points where Voldemort and the Death Eaters had to silence them all with a Silencio.
"You have a week to prepare. May the best player win." He smirked.
He unsilenced them and sent them their rooms. There were separate rooms for boys and girls, mainly for sleeping, which were next to each other. Across from those two rooms, was the training room, where the seven were currently in. The seven stayed silent, processing their current situation. Dejected, Marlene picked up a pencil, and began writing lyrics, somewhat thankful for the fact that she played guitar. Dorcas tried catching her eye several times, but she was refusing to look at her-- as a matter of fact, no one was willing to glance in her direction.
A few hours of silence later, Regulus spoke the first words. "Fuck you, Dorcas. This is all your fault."
