It Seems That Bunnies Can't Hold Their Alcohol

Summary:

The reader gets some champagne to celebarate the anniversary of when they and Bunny Finn met, but it turns out Bunny Finn has a pretty low tolerance.

Notes:

Bunny Finn is such a sweet boy, I feel like he would be an affectionate drunk.

Work Text:

"Would you like a drink, Bunny?"

You smiled as you placed a bottle of champagne and two glasses on the coffee table.

Finn looked up at you from the couch. "Yes please, dearest. What are we celebrating?"

"It's getting close to the anniversary of when we met. I figured we'd be a little preoccupied on the actual anniversary" You giggled.

Finn looked at you, confused, then his face went bright red once it dawned on him. "Oh ... y-yes. My season"

"Exactly" You chuckled as you poured the drinks, handed one to the blond, then sat down next to him.

"Thank you, dearest"

You beamed at the bunny and held your glass up to him. "To us"

Finn returned your smile. "To us"

The two of you clinked your glasses together, then took a sip of your drinks.

You kissed the blond. "Love you, Bunny"

"I love you too, dearest"

The two of you sat sipping your drinks until Finn broke the comfortable silence.

"Has it really been a year since you found me in the woods?"

"It has. I've somehow managed to put up with you for that long" You giggled.

Finn chuckled and gave you a playful shove. "I don't know why I stayed, you're so mean to me all the time"

You placed a hand on the bunny's cheek, then kissed him. "You love it when I tease you"

"I do" Finn smiled and rubbed noses with you. "Please never stop"

The two of you sat for a while, talking and drinking, until you noticed Finn leaning on you a little more heavily.

You turned to look at the blond and realised his face was red. "Are you okay, Bunny?"

"Me? I'm fine" Finn looked up at you with a goofy smile on his face. "Actually ... I'm better than fine, because I'm with you"

"You're so sweet" You kissed the blond's cheek. "But your face is kind of flushed"

"I'm fine. I'm ... fine"

"So ... you're fine?" You giggled.

Finn nodded, then took another sip of his drink.

A comfortable silence ensued as you both continued drinking, enjoying each other's company, until Finn spoke.

"Dearest?"

"Yes, Bunny?"

"I love you" The blond nuzzled under your chin.

You smiled and placed a hand on Finn's thigh, squeezing it gently. "I love you too"

"But ... I mean ... I really, really love you"

"I really, really love you too" You chuckled.

"No, you don't understand ..." The bunny pulled back a little to look at you, and you noticed the slight look of frustration on his face. "I really love you"

You smiled softly at the blond and cupped his cheek. "I do understand and I love you just as much"

That must have satisfied Finn, as a smile came to his face and he nodded. He settled back down against you and nuzzled under your chin once more.

The comfortable silence returned as you and the bunny continued drinking, but it was soon interrupted by him attempting a conversation.

It took a few tries to understand what the blond was saying, as his face was buried in your chest and he was slurring some of his words.

You giggled and took Finn's glass out of his hand. "I think you've had enough"

"Oh ... okay" The blond watched intently as you put his glass on the coffee table in front of you. "If you say so, dearest"

"I do" You put down your own glass. "I don't need anymore either"

Finn looked at you. "What will we do now?"

You smiled as you placed a hand on the bunny's cheek, then kissed him. "We can just spend some time together"

The blond gave you a goofy smile, then nuzzled your neck. "I like the sound of that"

Humming happily, you rubbed Finn's thigh, enjoying how affectionate he was being.

"Can ... can I kiss you, dearest?"

"Of course you can, Bunny. You can kiss me anytime"

Finn nodded, and you couldn't help but laugh as he very clumsily climbed into your lap, straddling you.

Leaning in, the blond missed your lips and instead kissed your jaw.

You giggled. "Here, let me" You placed your hands on the bunny's cheeks, then kissed him.

Finn tried again to kiss you, but this time almost headbutted you.

"Careful, Bunny" You giggled once more, gently pushing the blond to make space between the two of you. "Don't break your glasses"

"No, I shouldn't do that. I need them to see"

Another laugh. "You do"

Finn attempted - and failed - a few more kisses, and that led you to a decision.

"Come on, Bunny. I think it's time for bed"

"Okay, dearest" The blond wrapped his arms around you and snuggled into your neck. "Nighty night"

You giggled and rubbed Finn's back. "We're not sleeping here. You need to get up"

"But you're so cozy ..." The bunny snuggled into your neck again.

"I know" You smiled. "But it won't be cozy when we wake up sore in the morning"

The blond groaned in protest, but relented. "Fine"

"That's my good boy" You rubbed Finn's back once more, then let go of him so that he could get up from your lap.

The bunny had a look of pure concentration on his face as he slowly moved to stand up. That concentration did not help, however, because he lost his balance and almost fell off your lap.

"Finn!" You gasped and quickly grabbed his arm to steady him. When you realised he was okay, you let out a little giggle. "Careful ..."

The blond nodded, then slowly made his way off of your lap and stood up.

Once you were standing too, you took Finn's hand in yours. "Let's go"

Another nod from the bunny, then the two of you made your way to the bedroom.

The closer you got to your destination, the more heavily the blond was leaning on you.

"Oh gosh, Bunny" You tried to adjust Finn's posture to take some of his weight off you. "You're heavier than you look"

The blond pouted, but stood up a little straighter, making it slightly easier for you to continue walking, and the two of you eventually made it into the bedroom and to the bed.

"Take a seat, Bunny"

Finn nodded, then you helped him to sit on the edge of the bed.

You took the blond's glasses and placed them on the bedside table, trying not to laugh as he squinted at you.

"Lift your arms"

Finn did as instructed, and you carefully removed his shirt, being careful not to pull his hair or ears.

"Stand up for me"

Again, the bunny did as instructed, and you helped him take off his pants.

You moved to put Finn's clothes aside, then turned back to see him pulling down his underwear.

You giggled as you approached the blond and helped him put his underwear back on. "Leave those, Bunny"

"Oh ... okay" Finn looked a little confused. "But how will we have sex if I'm not naked?"

You laughed at how direct the blond was. "You're in no state for that. We're going to sleep"

"Oh ... Can we still cuddle?"

"Of course. Cuddling is always allowed"

You gave the bunny a quick kiss, then helped him in to bed. Once you'd changed into your pyjamas, you settled yourself in next to Finn, then the two of you wrapped your arms around each other.

"Goodnight, Bunny"

"G'night, dearest"

-

You awoke the next morning, Finn still sleeping soundly beside you. Being careful not to wake him, you got out of bed and went to the kitchen.

By the time you returned to the bedroom with water and painkillers, the blond was starting to stir.

"Good morning ... How do you feel, Bunny?"

Finn groaned. "Everything is too bright and too loud" He rolled onto his stomach and placed his pillow over his head.

You giggled as you gently rubbed the blond's back. "That sounds about right"

Finn sighed. "That feels nice though" His voice was muffled by his pillow.

You continued rubbing the bunny's back for a while. "I brought you some painkillers for the headache you've surely got"

The blond made a noise, but you couldn't tell if it was pained or thankful.

You pulled back the covers, moved Finn's pillow, then twirled the fur of his tail with your fingers. "Come on, Bunny. You need to at least drink some water"

"I can't. My head hurts when I move"

"I know, but it won't get better if you don't rehydrate"

The blond groaned and tried to bury his face in the mattress.

You knelt beside the bed, put an arm around Finn, then kissed his cheek. "Hop out of bed and I'll make you some breakfast" You giggled as you realised what you'd said. "No pun intended"

Another groan. "Feeling like this isn't bad enough, I also have to put up with your terrible puns?"

You chuckled, then kissed Finn's cheek again. "I'll stop if you get out of bed and let me look after you"

The blond sighed. "... Fine"

"Good boy" One more kiss to the bunny's cheek, then you stood up.

Finn very slowly got up and sat on the edge of the bed.

"Here, Bunny. Take these" You handed the blond some painkillers and a glass of water, which he very reluctantly swallowed, then gave the glass back to you.

You smiled as you gently brushed a hand over the bunny's ear, then kissed his forehead. "I'll take good care of you today. You'll be feeling better in no time"

"What would I do without you, dearest?" Finn managed a small smile.

"Well, you wouldn't be in this mess if it wasn't for me" You giggled. "I did bring the champagne"

"It's not like you poured it down my throat" The bunny gave a slight chuckle. "I did this to myself"

You leant forward and kissed Finn. "It doesn't matter. I'll still look after you"

The blond took your hand in his. "You always do"

You smiled and kissed Finn once more. "Come on, Bunny. Let's go and get some breakfast"

"Can't I have breakfast in bed?" Finn gave you his best puppy dog eyes. "That would be taking good care of me"

"You're lucky I love you" You giggled. "Get back into bed then, I'll bring you your breakfast"

The blond smiled. "Thank you, dearest"

You helped Finn get comfortable sitting against the bedhead, then handed him his glasses. "I'll be right back"

"I love you"

"I love you too, Bunny" You kissed the blond's forehead, then headed to the kitchen.

You soon returned with a tray full of food for Finn and yourself - Eggs, bacon, toast, fruit and juice.

"Breakfast is served" You smiled as you placed the tray down in front of the bunny.

"Oh dearest, this looks really good. Thank you"

"You're welcome" You gave Finn's ear a gentle stroke. "How's your head?"

"It's a little better"

"I'm glad" You smiled as you climbed on to the bed and sat cross legged facing the blond, the tray of food in between the two of you.

Finn picked up a piece of melon and held it out to you. "Open wide, dearest" He smiled.

You giggled, then took a bite of the fruit. "I'm supposed to be looking after you, remember?"

The bunny chuckled and held out more fruit for you. "You are. This is my way of thanking you"

"You're welcome" You smiled as you took the offered fruit, then picked up a piece and presented it to Finn.

The blond took the fruit in his mouth and hummed happily as he chewed, then swallowed.

The two of you took turns feeding each other until all of the food was gone.

"Are you feeling any better now that you've eaten, Bunny?"

"I am, dearest. Thank you for a delicious breakfast, and for taking such good care of me"

"You're welcome" You smiled as you leant in and kissed Finn's forehead. "Do you want to get up, or stay in bed a little longer?"

The blond thought for a moment. "I should get up. A shower might help even more"

"That sounds like a good idea" You got off the bed, stroked the bunny's ear, then picked up the now empty tray. "I'll get rid of this while you're in the bathroom"

Finn smiled. "Thank you, dearest. Love you"

"Love you too"

You headed to the kitchen to clean up, leaving the blond to enjoy a long, hot shower and hopefully get rid of the last of his hangover.
