Behind the long, dark wood counter, two men were working. Megumi’s gaze lingered on a tall, pale guy slicing lemon zest with surgical precision. He moved like a ghost, silent, smooth, exchanging brief words with the customers clinging to the bar.
But it was the second one who stole all of Megumi’s attention.
He was the total opposite of the bar's melancholic, muffled interior. His pink hair caught the neon glow like a soft flickering flame. He was laughing at a joke, deftly flipping a shaker with a raw, unfiltered energy that made Megumi stare. He wore a simple white t-shirt, leaving his arms bare— and those arms immediately hooked Megumi’s gaze. From wrists to shoulders, his skin was flooded with ink: charcoal patterns that intertwined in a chaotic mess, looking like a mythical beast’s claws or the markings of a curse.
