Summary
Caught out in the cold, Noah and Jonas have to take shelter together. Jonas hasn't been this close to anyone since Martha years ago. Noah has been thinking about getting closer to his Savior for nearly as long.
"It was warmer with the two of them in the bag. Jonas’s forehead just barely brushed Noah’s chest. They lay together and breathed the same air and Noah ached, not from the cold but from this new warmth, and their proximity. The rain continued, the sleeping bag was comfortable, and Jonas was so close, closer than he had ever been except when they had crawled shoulder to shoulder through the tunnel that very first day. Noah had given up on being angry with his Savior. But he had not given up wanting more from him. Perhaps he never would."
