Summary
Taking a bite of her hashbrowns as Trinity thinks, she admits, “I saw you and Langdon at the diner the other day.”
Mel doesn’t deny anything and says, “So that's how Garcia knew. She told Frank that you accused him of cheating on his wife. He denied it, of course. I don’t like that we have to lie to people.” She's not meeting Trinity's eyes, staring down at a water ring carved into the table, tracing it with her fingers.
What did Trinity even want out of this conversation? They were past the point of Trinity changing Mel's mind about Langdon, and she didn’t want to make Mel feel any more guilty than she already felt. Mel didn’t need someone to protect her. She just needed a friend.
“Do you want to talk about it?”Or Trinity learns to play nice with others. Well, at least she tries to.
