    Seraphine has only ever understood one thing. Her love of art. When she gets the chance to go to New York for it, away from the ghosts and dark memories that hid in her hometown, she sprints at the chance.

    The only issue is that Sera is the only half vampire. In history. She can’t let that stop her, of course. She’s going to study art at NYU. She will live a normal life and stay out of the Shield Council’s hair.

    Even if she has to wear fifty layers in July to do it. Even if she has to stay away from Peter Parker, the guy in the back of her Medieval Arts class who won’t stop staring at her and smells like wet dog.

    Her only issue is the whole blood drinking thing. She can’t do it on her own. Turns out, Peter has a proposition for her. He needs a warm body too, just for other reasons.

    It’s all very simple. Until it’s not.
