Chapter Text

Tears slipped from Barry's cheeks, he just watched his mother's death, and he was the cause, he had to ask Eobard to kill his mom, to get everything back to normal, for everyone have the life they supposed to have. he was in STAR labs alone at 3 am, searching from some treat to deal with, he needed a distraction, but everything was right, bad metahuman had to sleep too, maybe he should try the same, with that thought he returned home, with Wally, Joe and more importantly with Iris.

Joe screamed when he saw Barry, -My god Barry, you almost gave a heart attack- his foster father said, Barry hugged him -sorry about that, sorry about everything- Barry said, he was crying again, Joe hugged him back, -Barry, if you need to stay, you're welcomed here, anytime- said Joe, Barry was a bit confused, this was his house, he lived with the west since he was a kid, or maybe in this timeline, oh damn time lines, he didn't wanted to think in the alteration his time travel had created, -I'll sleep here, thanks- Barry accepted the offer, not much he could do right now.

Later that day he went again to STAR labs, Cisco was there, not the rich guy from flashpoint, his Cisco, and Caitlin, oh thanks god she was a scientist again, everyone was there even Harrison and Jesse, they soon would return to their own earth.
the alert was on, an attack from a metahuman, and Barry was ready -yes!- he yelled, everyone were looking him like was nuts, maybe they were right, anyway central city needed the Flash and Barry had no negatives to that, so he ran, the faster he could, and saw the problem, a meta human were making everything liquid everything it touched -yeah, I don't like this- said Barry, -how do I stop someone who can make me into a pond by a punch?- added Barry, -we need something that is not solid so it can made it liquid- said Harrison -you mean like gas?- said the voice of Wally, but he were interrupted by someone Barry didn't reconocided by his transmissor ,-no dumbass, he's talking about the not Newtonian fluid, Hi babe, it's me, don't know why you always have to ask what to do if everything what we told you is Run, any way go and get some water and cornstarch, do the mix, and make a trap, that's it you figure it the rest smartass-, Barry didn't knew who talked but he had a good idea, so he did what the unknown person said, and it worked, and he was ready to go back and meet whoever talked to him.

Harry and Joe put the meta in a cage made of something, he didn't wanted to ask, anyway, he saw no other person besides his friends in the room, maybe it was some kind of machine who talked, like Gideon, the computer the reverse flash used to talk with, but taking him out of that thought where Cisco and Caitlin celebrating.

-you are the best team a superhero could have- said Barry, he was going to hug them, and suddenly he felt a wind coming from the back, and the sound a speedster do when run

-what you were going to left me out of this?- asked the same voice of the transmissor, and now Barry could remember who belonged that voice, he turned with a super speed and saw the face of the man who killed his mother a few hours ago, well for everyone else had been years but still, -what the?- said Barry incompletely, he couldn't talk much just blabbing and blabbing came from his mouth, he couldn't believe the man was alive, Eddie had died for this, this was no fair, - what's wrong Bar?-asked Eobard, like if nothing ever had happened between them, like they were friends, he was even calling him "Bar", -oh you piece of shit you have been time traveling don't you? you stink like time fissures, ugh, Barry, you're so stupid, what happened?- said the most evil man of the world, but he was right, how he was always right, that's because he knew what had happened he was there, he knew he just want everyone to hear it.

-you, you murdered my mother!- said Barry

-oh come on, we have already passed that, why bring it back? what changed?- said Eobard, -you made me said, you made me ask...- Barry didn't want to say that Eobard made him ask to kill his mother, that was a lose that he wanted to keep in the more deep of the oceans, -oh so you're that time Barry, yeah I remember, Flashpoint Barry- said Eobard and giggled

-so do you remember?- said Barry, -of course, so what? that should made us more close, you know, that darkness inside you is what made you perfect to be with me, and now you know it, oh god, I've been expecting this moment so much- said Eobard, -uh excuse us but what's going on?-asked Cisco, -this Barry traveled from a point of an alternative time line where he hate me for kill his mother- explained Eobard, -then he's not our Barry? what happened with ours then?- asked Caitlin, -good question Dr. Snow, and I have no idea of that, my theory says that maybe he time traveled for prevent her mother death and bring us a better and not the insane relation we have, but he screw up the time and ended in his own flashpoint, after that I assume that there is two possibilities of what could had happen, 1) our Barry got trapped in his flashpoint because the nerd started to forget and stayed there, or 2) our Barry "fixed the time line but ended in an au where I'm bad- theorized Eobard, -how are you alive!?- exclaimed Barry, Eobard sighed, -man, I don't know what are you talking about, but here is you time now, here is your world right now, and you can't do anything to change that, because if you keep fucking with time you will rip all the multiverses, so face it, we're married, Cisco, Caitlin and Harry are our best friends, you are the Flash, I'm reverse flash that once in a frick alternative future were the flash, thank you very much, oh yeah also sometimes your foster dad and his kid, oh and we can't forget Jesse, they help us with the job of keeping the city safe-explained Eobard, Barry could swear he heard the word "married" somewhere but he ignored to ask for his stupid kid crush.

-what about Iris?-

-if she need us she can call us- said Eobard

-no, why she's not helping us?- said Barry, -Barry, dear, she does, but you can't blame her for want to help a bigger team, we'll see her someday, hope not, I prefer to not- said Eobard but started to low his voice with each word, -why?-thought loud Barry, -Barry, she works with the justice league, she'll call us to do a super big team when she need us-whispered Caitlin to Barry, -yeah, and just a bunch of people knows that you married your arch enemy-added Cisco.

-I did what?-said Barry, his head started to spin, this was so much, a moment ago was a free man, almost dating Iris and now he was married to a guy, and not just a guy, his worst enemy, nothing that a good divorce couldn't solve, he could work on his relation with Iris after that, -uh, listen guys, I'm not gay- cleared Barry, everyone coughed, -Joe tell them- asked Barry, Joe looked to other side, evading Barry's eyes, -what's that supposed to mean?-asked Barry, -come on, Cisco, you know it, if you don't believe me then Vibe me- Said Barry, -dude, no, last time I vibed you I saw things I didn't needed to see, I respect you for who you are, we all do, don't pretend to be someone you're not-said Cisco, -I'm not! I'm not gay, hey Thawne I want the divorce- said Barry, -no- said Eobard and disappeared in a red ray light, destroying everything in his way, as usual, -oh great, now I need to find him-were the last words team flash before seeing their friend running after his husband, -what do we do now?-asked Cisco, -go to Big Belly burger- said Harrison, and they hi-fived.

A yellow and a red light passed through the city, one running from the other, the yellow speedster stopped in an abandoned fabric, few seconds later the red one did the same, -are you going to run again or we'll talk or fight?-asked Barry, the silence flooded the place, not even the wind dared to whisper, after several minutes, Barry talked again, -well, you know I'm not the same Barry you married, this would be bad for both, so why don't get a divorce and maybe we'll be still friends once this is over-, the reverse flash took his mask off, revealing a red eyes, but this weren't because the speed force, the guy has been crying, -you haven't tried yet, and you're already giving up, but that's not the only problem, if you want to divorce me, you would have to travel in time again, to the future, Bar, and who knows if this travel can screw up the hole multiverse- sobbed Eobard, Barry was more confused now, this wasn't how Eobard Thawne was, this was different, "the future", yes that's true, if he wanted to finish this nightmare he would have to travel in time and prevent the wedding or just get a divorce, he was trapped in this world and he had to accept the consequences of his actions, he had to be married with Eobard, but, but nothing that was the worst of this world, he would learn the difference between his original timeline and this one and he'll do his best to deal with it.

-Want to go and eat some in Big belly burger?-offered Barry, -it's a Date- accepted Thawne, Eobard grabbed Barry's hand and they ran together.

It's been a month since Barry had to face his mistakes, fortunatley he has friends, the kind of ones who let you sleep in their houses when you don't want to go with your ex-murder husband.

the scarlet speedster has learned a few things, fuck with the time line can be easy to do, but you break others life, or maybe you twist them, anyway, it's not healthy good guys should avoid it. 

but sometimes, there are few oportunities to make a good thing, Eddie was alive.

on the weird list where that Jesse was a speedster. Harry, Caitlin and Cisco were searching a remplace for Harry, he had a new guy in his laboratory at the ccpd, an annoying, hot guy named Julian Albert.

Barry hated the new guy but pass time with him seemed to make Eobard angry, so Barry tried his best to stay side by Julian.

All days, Eobard went to Cisco's home, where Barry was, and invited his husband to a date, not accepting a no as answer, it has converted as a rutine. the poor evil guy really believed that that was going to

fix their relationship, and well, it was maybe not making Barry fall for the man, but, Barry was starting to seeing him as an  ally, with a few weeks more maybe even a friend. 

it was like talking with the fake Harrison Wells, always trying to protect him and help him, "of course it feels like that, he was the fake Harrison" remembered Barry, this man was not just the super villian,

he used to be his idol, Barry never cared about Harrison Wells works form before Eobard tooked his place, he admired Eobard's job, and nothing could change that fact. "this why my other self should have married this guy" realised Barry, this image made him giggle, it didn't last much, because Eobard interrupted -what's funny about the bistomathics?-, Barry denied with his head,

-nothing, just, thought something funny, nothing to do with the, errr...Bistro...-, -Bistromathics-repited Eobard, -what was that something you thought, that is more intesting that a powerful computational force ever known?- added Thawne, Barry sweated, -I don't want to say it, it was a dum joke-lied Allen, his date didn't notice this, becaus ehe was already pissed of being ignored, -I have a dumb joke too! why the flash ran against the flow of antimatter?- shouted Eobard and left the place, leaving a very confused Barry , it felted like an insult, also with a trace of sorrow, and he was pretty sure this was about his future, but as everyone used to tell him ' knowing about yourself too much is not good' so he left that for the moment.

that couldn't be good, right? so he had to ran back him, again.

this time he didn't find him.

the rest of the day was like none of the flashpoint stuff had happened, a meta attacked so he went to do his job. he didn't heard Eobard talkikng to him as usual, it was good to be back as normal. 

ot was a quick fight, the person haven't figured out yet how to use all her powers, so it just needed the special cuffs, and... Fwoosh, a red light, there was the annoying yellow speedster, he was lifting a ton of paper, looked like manuscript, Barry saw a smile in his ex-enemy, didn't seemed like a good signal.

and he was right, the reverse started to tell bad jokes, Barry could hear the voices of his friends laughing by the comunicator, -so that's what you've been doing all this time?-Inquired Barry, and joined the laughs.

Metahumans that shouldn't exist in that timeline started to appear, great, exactly what he needed, more reminders of flashpoint

aparently "Alchemy" whoever they were, had been giving them powers.

talking about flashpoint consequences, Eobard was the worst.

but, he was from the future, maybe he knew important things about this Alchemy, this information wouldn't be easy, he had to do something that his reverse wanted.

Everyday he recived an invitation to date with him, the answer until now had been no, but this day will going to be different.

A knock sounded, followed of the image of Thawne trasspasing the department's door, because the knock were just an anucement.

the first times Eobard respected Barry privacity of not open the door and he had to ask to date him without even see his face, soon Thawne got pissed of this, so he just knocked

and went in using his powers, Cisco didn't enjoyed this, and Barry  didn't wanted to be an annoyance to his friend so Barry moved to his own department.

there he was, ready to ask Barry to date him, Barry sighed, prettending he was not interested as always.

-Want to go and eat something?-proposed the ex villian, Barry looked down to his stomach, pated it -yes, I think I could eat- answered, Barry hoped that Eobard couldn't watch 

through his plan, his husband had a big smile of satisfaction, even bite his lips a few times, he was totally believing it, -Come on, Big Belly Burger is open right now- exclamed Eobard, and lost no time.

while they were running Barry tried to start a convesation -you know, that there's more than Big Belly Burguer in this world?- which only made Eobard stop, the smile he had a minuite ago was gone, the air felt heavy,

he put his hands over Barry's shoulders -really? what else matter in this time?- questioned Eobard, damn Barry didn't knew how crazy was Thawne for burgers, he needed to calm him down, but how? 

his mind was complety in blank, somewhow his lips were moving "me" was the word that came, -you're right-agreed Eobard, then both were watching the other at the eyes, then lowering the sight to the lips,

aproaxing.

Barry wasn't sure why he said that, or if he retracted of it.

they heard an alarm ruining their kiss and the chances of getting also a good burger. 

both went to star labs

-better be important- snarled Thawne, this made team flash take a step back, they haven't seen act Eobard this way since he was the arch enemy of Flash.

Cisco coughed, -good, now that we're here, Harry and me would like to inform you, that the message we sent some time ago has been answered- he said, - now all we need to do is

see the message they sent back, and consider a Wells to stay here while Jesse and I go home- added Harry.

aparently that was enough for Eobard to not kill anyone, at least not yet, it would depend on what the auditions result.

and they weren't going awful, first a try of a cowboy appeard, then a nerd, followed by a mime, and we know, that you can't trust a mime.

there was just one more left, the message came from earth-19.

everything was good with this wells, he looked so cool with his hat and black vest, seemed like a nice guy, ready to make friends, with no problems over his shoulders, so happy and free.

but something wasn't right, Harry was serious, then he fianally said "pass", insisted with the sentence, and even leaved the place, assuring that that Wells wan't the right one to do the job.

not that that changed the impession that the Wells of earth-19 made, Team Flash,  well most of them have decided to give him the job, and with this was decided, Wells from Earth-19 would be part of the team.

 -I'll talk to him- offered Cisco, and left the room. 

Barry looked at his ex enemy, he seemed to be in his own world, -It looks like a nice guy- commented Barry, this brought back to Earth-1 Eobard Thawne, -if you think so- he replied,

-shouldn't we trust him? there something you know about it?- questioned Barry, god, that was 0 subtle, he sounded more despesperated than he expected,

he couldn't help it, it's just that every nice stranger that gained his trust ended killing someone of his family, not to mention that one of them was there right now.

-come here-invited Thawne with his arms open, Barry followed his urge and hugged him, -Bar, I can't tell you- Eobard sighed, and Barry noded -I get it, this could break the timeline more-he conceded, it was a dumb idea that Eobard, someone who is a veteran in time travel could do something that only begginers would do, -I knew you would understand it- assured Eobard, gave him a little kiss on the nose and freed him from the hug.

Chapter Text

Cisco had opened a portal to Earth-19, the relaxed new Harrison Wells crossed from there, and were welcome to his new team
He seemed like a nice guy, and everyone trusted 100% in him, all less one, Harry,but whatever, Cisco had said to him worked enough to let him be part of the team.

Jesse and her father didn't took much time in say goodbye, after all, they had their own Earth to protect.

The New Harrison called himself H.R and provided his help with a gigantic meta, which was not actually the case, it was just an illusion, but he tried, and everyone had to deal with not having Harrison Wells’ actual genius ideas in their team anymore.

Whatever, they still got a bunch of smart people in it anyway, and it wasn’t like the new guy was useless. He made a great coffee.

They also captured Julian, they thought he was the Alchemy, and he was, just, that he didn’t remembered that, and why? Because Alchemy was just a puppet by some weird evil speedster guy that was so fast that only other speedster could see him.

-I know this is not something you can say without consequences, but, can you say something about this new speedster, Savitar? - asked Barry, -anything that at least could help as lead, at least? - added, Eobard took a sip of the Coffee, and looked at Barry in the eyes, saying nothing, like searching for an answer that would not break the universes, or just a way to refuse to say a word about it.

He finished to drink and granted his husband a few words about the new bad guy – He’s faster than me-, Barry rolled his eyes -yeah, I already figured out- Grumbled him, -and he is a great guy, well he was, at some point- Eobard laughed, Barry felt his heart beat a bit faster, the image of that man in front of him, that smile, he seemed like it was shining, or maybe it was the lights, yeah, it was probably the lights. A suddenly  realization made Barry stop admiring the man in front of him, a wind of jealousy got in to him, “he knows that guy, and He thinks that it’s great”, no, no Barry wasn’t jealous, he was… worried, yes, worried that Eobard would choose to join the bad guys again, worried that he would left him for this new evil speedster, could it be that Eobard had more in common with Savitar than with him?

-Bar, Barry!- Exclamed Eobard, bringing him back to the reality, a Meta alert, it was robbing to a bank, the meta was using their acid powers to break into, according to Caitlin the meta didn’t officially took hostages, but the floor was flooded with acid to let them escape. And while Cisco was thinking on cool names to this acid meta, Barry was running to the bank.

-Can’t you just clean the place? Like with water? That’s what I do when I drop something- suggested H.R while using his drumsticks to touch the table in front him.

-That’s a good idea, Bar, make the sprinkler system work- Commanded Eobard, and Barry did, helping people go out when the water cleaned the floor the most it could.

A few punches later, a pair of special cuffs and bam! a criminal less to worry about in Central City.

-good work out there Bar- Exclaimed Eobard, Barry nodded.

-wanna go to big belly burger to celebrate?- proposed the former villain, Barry was about to open his mouth -They serve coffee there?- questioned H.R, Barry could see the shock in Eobard’s face, -uhh, sure, they do- admitted the blond.

-Have fun- chanted Barry, -what? You’re not coming? - exclaimed Eobard, Barry swung his head, and left the place.

He needed more info about Savitar, and even if Julian didn’t exactly knew more than he already told the team Flash, Barry had a hunch that somehow Julian was a key to catch the evil speedster.

 Maybe they could use Julian to talk and bring Savitar. They could use him as bait. Was that a too cruel way to look at someone? Yes, definitely, but, he was desperate about this guy, and it wasn’t because of what Eobard told him early that day.

 -Hello Allen- welcomed Julian, -is there something else you need from me?- inquired the coworker of Barry,  and Barry looked to his hands, doubting if he could do this or not, damn, he was already there, asking was not that hard.

-Julian, would you, please, help us to call Savitar, we need to know his plans- requested Barry, okay it wasn’t as easy as it thought it was going to be.

-and how exactly you want to do that? You want me to be possessed by that monster?- argued Julian.

-if I say yes, would you?- asked Barry, Julian put a hand to his chin, paused in his thoughts, -just if you promise to defeat the bastard- proposed, Barry accepted the terms and wondered how to convince the team to do this, even when Julian had agreed to risk his very life to this, would his friends accept to use a poor man as bait? Probably not, well, maybe just one person could possibly agree with this idea.

Barry took Julian to Star labs and was greeted as expected, disappointed looks and arguments of why ‘this was a bad idea’ from his friends, HR didn’t want to be part of that, but he also didn’t want the team to fight, he felt like it was his job to light up the mood, and he tried by doing his usual of bring them coffee.

Caitlin, Wally, and Cisco knew this was the only way, so they accepted only if Julian truly 100% wanted to do it.

Barry looked at Eobard, he hadn’t said anything, didn’t look disappointed but didn’t look eager to this plan either, Eobard limited to drink the coffee that HR gave him.

Should Barry be worried by that? Or was he just overlooking everything?

-Barry this is insane- reminded him Caitlin, Barry couldn’t hide his worry from his face and before he could say anything he was interrupted.

-I agreed- said a very determined Julian -and I’m the only lead to catch that monster- he added, he had courage but if you looked at him, he was shivering of fear -It’s going to hurt- Caitlin tried to persuade him of not doing this crazy thing -if you catch him it’d be worthy- he answered.

Barry looked at Julian at his eyes -we’ll catch him- he swore

-then let’s do it- confirmed again Julian that he was ready to be a link to Savitar.

Cisco turned on the machine connected to the box of the philosopher stone, Caitlin kept a watch on Julian’s vital signs, Wally passed nervus to one side to other, while Eobard and Barry looked a Julian twisting of pain.

-It’s not working, I’ll turn it off- announced Cisco, -keep going- said Julian through his teeth.

It was an awful sight, Barry turned to see Eobard, he was calm for comparing the other faces in the room his face only said “ouch, that must hurt” while he kept drinking his coffee.

Eobard must have felt Barry’s stare because he looked back at him, Eobard tapped his cheek pointing at his eye, then pointed at Julian.

Yes, he couldn’t be distracted, this was important, Julian trusted him.

And then it happened, a bunch of rays appeared, Julian screamed, and a figure appeared at his side, Savitar.

-Stop trying to find me, you can’t win against me, I’m God- warned them Savitar  

-  we’ll find you, you’re just another villain- answered Wally

- Zoom and Thawne were just villains, they’re nothing, I am the speed God Savitar- the super evil speedster claimed.

- I’m offended- declared Eobard touching his chest to emphasize and seem more dramatic

Savitar Ignored him.

-Stay out of my way- said Savitar

- which is your way? What do you think you’re doing?- questioned Barry.

Savitar laughed -you think you’re the hero, don’t you? You’re not but another villain- he said.

-The Flash is a hero- corrected Eobard giving Savitar a smirk.

Savitar turned his head through the yellow speedster -we both know the future- he pointed.

Eobard nodded -The Flash is a hero- repeated him without quitting his smirk.

-I had forgotten how much of a fan boy you were- Savitar growled, and Eobard laughed, not a fake laugh a truly happy laugh – I never quit being one- he answered.

What was going on?

Everyone was confused, Barry was confused, Savitar and Eobard were getting along?

Barry’s fears of Eobard going back to villain way were high at the point, how would he deal with two evil speedsters at same time?

Barry tried to calm down. He had Wally on his side, and if they needed more help, they could contact Jesse. He was sure he could stop Eobard but he didn’t wanted to risk Jesse and Wally to fight any of them of possible, and even more since they could end up fighting Savitar too.

The voice of Savitar took him out of his thoughts -Everything that must happen is already written-

-you say so, but as I see it the timeline you want is not yet a fixed point, you just want it to be- explained Eobard

- the flash is the past and I am the future- the self-proclaimed God of speed said.

- you know I come from a future past you, right?- informed Eobard.

- and which future did you see of this era?- taunted Savitar.

Eobard was muted and Savitar looked pleased with himself.

-One in one you lose- assured Eobard.

Actually, Eobard had seen different futures it was something that when he thought about it, it gave him a headache, the advantage of being himself a fixed point also the disadvantage of being a fixed point in history.  so usually he didn’t think about it, just think on the fixed points as real.

And the answer he gave to Savitar wasn’t thought on the different futures/memories it was more a wish.

But it worked, now Savitar was the muted one.

Barry relaxed, Eobard wouldn’t betray them, he was defending him after all, though the question of how did Savitar and Eobard met still wondered inside Barry’s mind.

-someone will die, and someone will have a future worse than death- prophesied Savitar

Caitlin warned that Julian couldn’t resist any longer, so Cisco turned off the machine and Savitar vanished.

-no more trying to contact Savitar- warned Caitlin and went to stabilize Julian vital signs.

The rest of the team went to discuss the few info they got from Savitar in the monitoring room.

HR happily to see them out and joining him in the room greeted them and offered them some coffee.

They declined but he was already bringing them cups full of his favorite drink.

-So we got nothing- Wally complained, grabbing the cup offered to him.

- well, now we know he comes from the future, or that he has been in the future- Cisco commented not happy for this discovery.

Barry turned to Eobard – and that he knows you- Barry said accusingly, it may had sound a bit mor harsh than what Barry intended, but he truly wanted to know how they met.

Eobard returned the look -Bar, you know I can’t say much- he excused.

-not to us, but you can tell Savitar what is his future? - questioned Barry -tell us how to win- he added, Eobard blushed and looked at the floor – I don’t know that future, like I said, it’s not a fixed point yet, but it will be if we don’t stop him- confessed Eobard.

Barry didn’t know if to buy the answer or not, it seemed like he was saying the truth, but so did he look like he was saying the truth when he was pretending be Harrison Wells. -then why did you told him he loses? - pressed Barry.

Eobard left out a lame laugh -I was just wishing the best- he answered

-At least can you give us something that we may have passed without noticing? - asked Cisco

-I confirm he comes from the future, not a much distant from this time- Eobard confirmed Cisco’s doubts

-how much? - Cisco pressed, but only obtained Eobard gesturing losing a zip from his lips.

And that’s all the team could get, so now what? What’s the next step?

Barry thought he could invite Eobard to his apartment, and maybe persuade him of telling him more info about Savitar, he knew that it lead to Eobard escaping the conversation, but he had to try.

And so he did, he invited Eobard to his apartment. Even ordered some big belly burgers, that would make Eobard stay at least until the burgers arrived.

-I know why you invited me- calmly said Eobard, -oh?- escaped from Barry lips like pretending he doesn’t know, - ‘oh’- imitated Eobard . -and yet you’re not running, a miracle- Barry says and he hates the way the words left his mouth, but luckily Eobard seems not to care.

-I can say a bit, but not much, that, if you ask the right questions- proposed Eobard.

That lifted Barry’s mood, he wasn’t expecting anything.

Barry though on the conversation his husband and Savitar had, the laugh, the familiarity vibe they took for a moment.

-how did you meet him?- Barry asked, Eobard wondered how to answer that – I don’t know if I can answer that or how to answer that, time changes sometimes and I’m not sure anymore- Eobard explained. Barry was kind of pissed – from your point of view from your timeline- pressed Barry, Eobard laughed, the same good laugh he heard he shared with Savitar.

-he came to my time- he said and smiled like it was everything he needed to say.

Barry was so pissed looking how Eobard, smiled like that for someone so awful as Savitar. Yet he knew he couldn’t press more on how they met.

-you know each other so much, right- Barry stared and saw Eobard nod with a smile, he was dying of jealousy and he was so happy.

Wait.

Wait.

No, he wasn’t jealous of Savitar for knowing Eobard Thawne. He was angry that Eobard had info kept from capturing Savitar. Yes, that was it.

-he called you a fan boy- Barry said remembering more of the conversation, damn, maybe he did wanted to know more of Eobard, or maybe it was just because if Eobard was friend of Savitar then it meant they could be interested in the same things therefore this was relevant to the capture.

-yeah- Eobard agreed blushing.

-can you explain what you’re fan of?- questioned Barry, and he could see the red in Eobard’s blush deeper more and more -the flash- came a murmuring voice that Barry couldn’t hear.

-what?- asked Barry for Eobard to repeat the answer.

-The Flash- Eobard confessed, hiding his red face in his hands.

Barry looked too surprised to say anything.

The ring from the door called,  the burgers were here.

Eobard lost no time to get them, and returned to where he was talking with Barry.

-what you mean?- Barry ask, he feels lost, what does he mean he’s his fan?, what does he mean that Eobard Thawne, the reverse flash is fan of flash?

Apparently these thoughts didn’t pass to Eobard who was happily eating his hamburger and started to explain -all my life been a fan of The Flash, I did my studies about you, give myself powers and tried to be like you- and takes another bite of his burger, but this doesn’t explain anything to Barry, he couldn’t understand, why then Eobard was the reverse? and when Eobard didn’t give any sign to continue his explanation Barry asked what he wanted to know -then why you became the reverse?-

That question hit Eobard hard, he didn’t want to answer that, it was to complicated and he had already past that, why remember the ugly past? The past that gave him headaches.

-has to be with Savitar?- Barry asked

Eobard grabbed his head, he didn’t fully remember he didn’t need to remember, it’s not good to remember that, - no, yes, maybe- he breathed out, Barry got worried about how Eobard looked, Barry took with both hands Eobard’s remained one.

They approached slowly one to the other.

Their foreheads collided softly to each other -sorry- apologized Barry -you don’t have to say anything you don’t want to- concluded.

Another day in Star labs, another day without a lead to Savitar.

Well, now they knew that the dude came from the future, and that’s it.

Everyone was a little depressed and felt guilty for making Julian go through all that pain for barely any    info.

HR like always tried to lift the mood of the team, he went with his drumsticks hit every place he passed -I’ve been thinking, we could make this place better- HR suggested, this as intended captured some interest from the team, when he noticed to be expected of an explanation he continued -we could open the lab to the public, we could make this lab into a museum-  and expanded his arms in a signal of being a great idea.

-explain- Cisco demanded, HR nodded with a smile – we need to keep running this place and why not get some income from working here? Besides it’d stop being weird that we all work here- explained the man with the drumsticks.

Caitlin and Cisco looked at each other and shrugged -we can try- Caitlin said.

Eobard sighed but it was only noticed by Barry.

-something wrong?- he asked his former rival

-let’s say I hate museums- said Eobard, Barry looked at his husband, this man didn’t seem like he hated museums, maybe it was this specific museum he hated -why?- he pressed, -they give me headaches- Eobard confessed, -so they’re not ruled by fixed points?- inquired Barry, and Eobard choked on a little laugh, - something like that- he agreed and gave Barry  a smile.

Barry was starting to like to see Eobard like this, it felt like good times, if only these were good times.

HR went out to search his plans of the museum.

Meanwhile the rest started to talk about serious stuff.

-We should get rid of the stone- suggested Cisco

-we can’t lose it, it could be vital to catch Savitar- disagreed Caitlin.

- Could be, but you’re the one that told us to not use it anymore- reminded Cisco

-I know, but, let’s keep trying to investigate its power before we get rid of it- proposed Caitlin.

-we don’t even know yet how to lose it so never hurts anyone else – she added, they were going to their usual places when Wally said – why not throw it to the speed force?-  it was the best idea they had to lose the rock and don’t be near anyone so it was decided.

They would throw it through the speed force.

the day passed and there was no metahuman alert, just casual things like lost kid, a robber in a bank, an arsonist trying to set some building on fire, that kind of things Barry, Wally and Eobard were happy to help.

Barry wanted to hear and see Eobard being happy again, so he invited him to another date. Eobard always agreed and this time was no exception.

They went to see a movie and after that to Eobard house, former house of Harrison Wells.

He hadn’t entered since the whole mess Eobard pretending being Wells thing.

In the walls there were photos of them together, their wedding, they looked so happy and Barry felt like he was an intruder.

- you must miss him?-  wondered out loud Barry while looking at the wedding photo.

-you’re him- reminded him Eobard with a smirk in his face.

Barry swung his head, -I’m not-  he denied, -why?- Eobard asked.

Was he serious? Barry stopped looking the photo and turned to see Eobard -I’m not the original Barry from this timeline- recalled him and felt like a fake copy of the happy man in the picture that had his same face.

His thoughts were interrupted by Eobard choking on his laugh, - would it make you feel better to know he wasn’t my ‘original’ time line Barry neither I’m an ‘original’ in this one?- commented Eobard while doing quotation marks with his hands when saying ‘original’.

wait, What?

WHAT?

-you’re not the only one who has messed with time Bar. One doesn’t become an expert of seeing the differences between a fixed point or a variable one without having lived the changes oneself- Eobard explained.

-but you were you when you started dating that Barry, right?-inquired Barry.

-yes, I was me, me actual me- recognized Eobard -but, I know how you feel, and as an advice I tell you to stop thinking about it or it will cause you more pain, I mean both physical and psychological- he added.

Barry thought his husband words, his experiences with time travel, he remembered how in flashpoint he was starting to forget his real past to be rewritten with the paradox one, it was too much and it was worthless but the memories still were there, both lines memories.

Would that happen too in this new line? He’d get mad.

As if reading his mind Eobard commented – I don’t think you’ll get the memories of this timeline-  he didn’t sound disappointed or sad, it was like he was trying to comfort him, and it worked this made Barry relax, he could trust him in time travel related things, he could trust him in almost everything he said these days.

He smiled and nodded -thanks- Barry said, and Eobard returned a smile and a nod.

The rest of the date went well, they talked about the millennium prize problems.

One moment Barry and Eobard were trying to add their own ideas about Yang-Mills existence and mass gap, and the other Barry was back at his apartment.

Now he was alone, alone with only his thoughts.

He started thinking about how his life had changed, in his mistakes with time travels. He knew he shouldn’t think deep about it but couldn’t help it.

Time travels affected his life when going to the past, but had he tried the future? Past changed his story and could cause paradoxes ‘lesson learned’ he swore, but the future had no effect on him, the future where Savitar origin could be, The future where new leads could be.

He had to travel time, Barry put his scarlet suit and  so he ran and ran and then, bam a change, he entered the speed force, he was starting to get this, so he ran to things he hadn’t seen before.

And then he was in the future.

Looked different from what he had expected, for starters it was empty, he saw no one in the streets, he kept walking, and when he saw someone they ran, he used his super speed to be in front of the stranger.

The stranger was shaking – please don’t hurt me- they pleaded, Barry put his hands up to his head heigh to show the person he wasn’t armed, that there was nothing to worry about -hey, I was just wondering which day is today?- he calmly asked, the stranger was still looking at him in panic -Friday- they informed, Barry nodded – and the year?- he questioned, and before they could answer someone was shooting, the stranger ran away, and Barry had to fight some random criminal without his team.

Seemed like a normal criminal, no powers, this was ‘easy’ at least he told himself before a metahuman attacked him by his back, the meta human had his fingers as whips, one finger had Barry by his foot, and made him fall, ‘it’s okay, I had been worse’ he cheered himself while trying to unfold the finger from his foot, but the other guy, the one with the gun was pointing at him, which wouldn’t be a problem because he could evade the bullets, if there wasn’t something holding him back.

Would it work vibrate in the same space to let the bullet pass through him? Probably and before he started his plan, everything turned cold, and it took him a moment to understand what happened.

Caitlin was there, or more like killer frost was there and she was using her powers on the meta human, and a blue burst was sending the non meta through the street, it was Cisco, well, Vibe, his friends were there.

-let’s get out of here- ordered Caitlin, Cisco helped Barry to stand up again and the walked to a big building that looked abandoned since years.

They took their mask off.

-what the heck Barry?- asked Cisco.

-Listen, I’m from the past, and I came here to- Barry started to explain but was cut by Caitlin -we know, also we know what you’re doing here-, Barry was shook, well of course they knew, they’re from the future, when Barry came back, he had to tell his friends, from his time.

- then, can you give me a lead? - Barry dared to say, Caitlin and Cisco sighed, - what happened to Central City? Why it all looks so… so empty? - he added, - people are there, they’re just hiding, there are more criminals than ever – informed Caitlin, - what about the team? - the flash asked, -it broke up some time ago- exposed Cisco.  

-what? Why?- were the inevitable questions asked.

Caitlin and Cisco looked at each other - aks yourself, we’re going to take you to the future you- responded Vibe.

They went to an abandoned and deteriorated Star labs, at the doors they stopped.

-we’ll wait you here, you go- said Caitlin, indicated the door.

If these weren’t his friends he would think he was about to enter to a trap.

Be welcomed by flickering lights and dust wasn’t the kind of welcome Barry expected, but so far it wasn’t going as anything he expected, he was glad at least his friends were fine.

Sitting in a chair in front of the monitor room was a man eating some cup noodles, it was Barry, only he had a long hair that covered one side of his face.

-I didn’t expected any visitor- exclaimed the long haired Barry.

Barry approached – what happened?- his mouth left out, he didn’t know if he referred to the team, Savitar or himself.

-we won the fight but I lost everything- confessed future Barry which did looked like he had lost everything.

Before Barry could ask for more details the future one continued talking  -Savitar took everything from me-, time traveling Barry contemplated at his future self, he sounded empty.

- I saw Cisco and Caitlin- commented Barry, and his future self turned to the monitor to the image where his past friends were at the entrance of the laboratory -I see- he left out, Barry looked through the place, it really felt empty Barry filled the silence wondering out loud -I thought this was going to be a museum-, Long haired Barry hummed – a total failure- he blurted -poor HR went back to his earth after the fiasco- future Barry added.

‘what about Eobard?’ this thought crossed Barry’s mind.

When he saw that there was going to be more words from his other self he asked – where is Eobard?- the face of the future Barry was covered by a dark curtain, he looked down – I told you, Savitar took everything from me – he started and approached to be right in front of his younger self – Savitar murdered him right in front my eyes, nobody could do anything, the whole team were there and they could do anything, but all fall against him- he furiously complied.

The younger of the two could finally see with detail his older self, down the hair there was a scar.                

Barry imagined the worst, but he was from the past his future wasn’t decided yet, even Eobard had said so while they interrogated Savitar.

-then help me change it- asked Barry, the other one swung his head, -this can’t be changed, this is destiny- explained the older one, now it was the younger Barry turn to swing his head – there is hope, this hasn’t turn in a fixed point in my time – he assured.

The older and depressed Barry sighed in defeat -tell me what I need to know to defeat Savitar faster- young naïve Barry pleaded, -we had to throw the stone to the speed force- the long-haired Barry said, -yes, we already have that plan- affirmed the time traveler, -make sure it done earlier than later, he’s weaker without the stone- pointed the other one.

-what else?

- let Cisco vibe you to tell the future, it will show you where will he appear.

-and?

-I can tell you much about your future, it’s for time/universe structure safety, you get me right?

-right.

Well now Barry had new info to work with, this time travel wasn’t a mistake.

He had to go back and tell the others the ideas he got from the future.

-be careful- told him his older self with a soft smile while lifting his hair tucking it behind his ear, showing the full scar.

Barry left the building and saw his friends again; they greet him with a wave from their hands.

They all knew how it went inside there but Cisco asked anyway – how it went?- , Barry grabbed his friends’ shoulders -I won’t let that happen, we won’t fall apart, we’ll win against Savitar- promised Barry.

Caitlin and Cisco knew what their Barry said to the one they had in front, they knew it, but seeing this determined Barry lift their spirit -yes- they said in unison.

-well I gotta go, any advice before I go?- asked Barry, - take care, and remember we are your friends- answered Caitlin, -change this future, we trust in you- responded Cisco.

In a swoosh of yellow rays, he disappeared from Caitlin and Cisco’s eyes, he was back at the speed force, going back to his time.

Barry was starting to think he was getting better at understanding time, fixed points occurred with events that affected deeply someone’s life in the past, but the future didn’t affect anything to Barry.

‘Unless…’ and it occurred to Barry that it may not change his life and that there wouldn’t be any repercussions but it could do to people from the future, Eobard was from the future, what changes this could cause to him, he was trying to keep the time flowing with no interferences and here was Barry trying to change it, well if he didn’t do this, Eobard wouldn’t be in his future so he needed to do the change, his friends wanted the change and he promised to them and himself to do it and he would, he wouldn’t back off.

Chapter Text

-better earlier than later- Barry encouraged himself to do what he needed to do.

He had the box with the stone In his hands.

He was doing this for the good of future and humanity.

Barry was in the speed force and he threw the rock, and went back to the STAR labs, he caught his breath, he was free, like a big weight was lifted, or that’s what he thought he should feel, but he kept feeling something was wrong.

The sound of alarm drought the place, the little happiness didn’t last.

There was nothing in the cameras, but Barry knew, it was Savitar.

Soon the alarm was off, it was like Savitar was mocking him, Barry thought he heard someone said “I’m finally free” but could had been his imagination for the pressure he felt at the moment.

HR entered the room and approached to Barry, he had two cups of coffee, offering one to Barry –Hey, what’s up?- he said as a salute, Barry turned to him and lifted his hand, the phone rang, it was Caitlin and Cisco, they looked like they just had woke up, which probably was exactly what had happened.

Barry told them he got ridded of the stone, it was ok with them they had the plan, but they were confused and offended that Barry didn’t wait for them.

They said they were on their way.

Was Eobard on his way too? And as soon he finished his thought with a red lighting arrived Barry’s husband.

Eobard arrived with a panicked look on his face, and quickly examined Barry by sight to see if Barry was fine, which he was, and the panic disappeared.

HR considered this was a moment when coffee was going to be needed the most, a late night of work, what better moment to use the special power of his favorite drink, and left the room, leaving Eobard and Barry alone.

-I traveled in time again- confessed Barry, but by the looks Eobard gave him, he already knew, however he moved his hand to ask Barry to carry on his story – I went to the future, I think that doesn’t mess things, does it?- Barry added, -Sometimes- answered Eobard while shrugging, apparently he didn’t think that his travel had changed anything or changed something important, but knowing is power, and getting rid of the stone made Savitar weak, that’s what his future self told him.

-I can't change the past, but I can change the future- Barry proclaimed, he wouldn’t dare to live in a future without his friends being his friends, without Eobard, he would keep him safe, he would defeat Savitar and his friends would stay be his friends in the future.

A soft hand caressing his cheek woke him from his thoughts -yes, you can- assured him Eobard with a soft smile, Eobard approached slowly his face to Barry’s, and Barry closed the gap with a kiss.

They both smiled at each other when it ended.

Caitlin and Cisco arrived, asking for an explanation to Barry, and he told them all about his time travel.

-I don’t understand, our plan was for Savitar to not be here anymore, he was supposed to be trapped in the box forever, how come he’s here? - questioned Cisco.

That was a very good question, why did future Barry didn’t mention that? Maybe it wasn’t important, Savitar was weaker now, Barry didn’t feel it that way, but his older self say so, so he had to hope the best.

-Could be that the stone acted as a barrier that stopped Savitar for being so strong, and now that is gone, he is free since he’s weaker? - apported Barry, -maybe- answered Cisco, but he had the same doubt as Barry and everyone else in the room, but apparently, they all had reached the same conclusion of hoping the best.

-it’s possible, since the stone was giving the powers, it could also amplify them or took them, I was searching for a way to- Caitlin made a pause, she took a breath – look guys, I started to notice that I got powers and they keep developing, and since I know about Killer frost, I was afraid to end up being like her- she explained.

-So, you thought that if we ran more test you could take out your powers- inquired Cisco, she nodded, -you don’t need to worry about changing of personality just because you have powers now, you’re still Caitlin, our friend- said Barry, the three of them hugged.

That was true, neither Cisco nor Barry changed their personalities just because they were meta humans, so she shouldn’t be afraid of herself, and even if she felt a little off, she was now sure her friends would help her to still be herself again.

But they needed to go back to the evil speedster running out there in central city.

Cisco tried to vibe the future to try to locate him, but it didn’t work, he needed more time, practice, and some rest.

Since the system didn’t show anything out of place, Barry and Eobard ran the entire Central city to find Savitar.

The first to find it was Eobard, he called the team to inform them where he was.

When Barry arrived, Eobard was on the floor he was very much awake and provoking the anger of Savitar, maybe as a distraction so Barry could attack or maybe it was a personal thing.

-look at yourself thinking you’re better- taunted Eobard, still on the floor grabbing one of his legs,

-I am better and you’re nothing but a step to secure my future- responded Savitar

-aw- Eobard said, fakely touched by Savitar’s words, meanwhile Barry attacked Savitar’s back, which could had been a wonderful attack if just the evil speedster hadn’t turned around grabbing Barry’s hand and twisting it.

Barry yelled, but he had other hand, he kept trying to hit him while his powers were healing.

Savitar stabbed Barry in the arm with his knife-gauntlet, another scream of pain from Barry.

-you can’t stop me, I am the future, Flash- Savitar said to the Flash, - whoever I say that dies, dies, understand me? - proceeded the self-proclaimed god of speed -and Eobard Thawne will die- finally proclaimed the villain.

All the anger came rushing through Barry, he was no longer yelling in pain, his anger was stronger than his pain.

Barry vibrated his hand and cut the gauntlet freeing himself.

Savitar tried to run away from them.

Bam! A ray attacked Savitar.

It was Jesse Quick -scared? - she laughed at him, -of course not- denied Savitar.

Jesse threw him another ray, but he absorbed it this time and launched it back to her.

Savitar called his broken gauntlet to reunite with the rest of his armor, but Quick honored her name and noticed this and took the gauntlet.

By the team communicator was HR telling Jesse to use it in a weak point of the villain’s armor, and she did, she stabbed him with his own knife.

He yelled in pain.

Savitar pushed her away and ran.

But this time he wasn’t caught by anyone, he was gone, leaving the team Flash time to help their injured companions.

-so when you came back to earth 1?- asked Barry relived to see his friend and smiled.

-since like 10 minutes when HR send a message asking for help- she answered and returned the smile.

Chapter Text

Jesse took the severed gauntlet, and the team went back to the labs to heal and make some plan better than just run directly at the problem.

-great he kicks our ass and we lost him again- exclaimed Cisco.

Jesse negated with her head, lifted the gauntlet -we got this, I saw him controlling it, we can use it to track the signal to his suit- she pointed.

His suit, that’s right, the Savitar they’ve been seeing wasn’t some sort of creature, it was just a human, well, it was just a metahuman with an armor.

Everyone agreed with Jesse quick and started working on that, also they brought her dad to help them, more ideas and help were needed.

Meanwhile the team was trying to track Savitar, the married couple were being taking care of their wounds, they were no open wounds thanks to their super speed healing, but it still hurt a lot and drain all their energy.

-that didn’t feel like weaker- commented Barry about Savitar attacks, Eobard made a snort -you don’t say- he said with a mocking tone.

- why would my future self said so if it wasn’t true?- wondered Barry outloud, he looked at Eobard for an explanation even though he knew that the man couldn’t reveal info freely, -the rays used by Quick are a good way to attack at distance- pointed Eobard – we need you to learn how to make them- he added.

Was that the answer? Did his future self had made him free Savitar to learn how to throw rays? Or maybe he had too much hope in his future self that couldn’t see that the guy was not sane when he visited him.

-And I suppose you know how to do those rays- inquired Barry, and his husband shot him a smile -of course, I know how to do anything The Flash ever did- confirmed Eobard.

-isn’t it a bit paradoxical that I learn this from you since you learnt from me?- joked Barry, Eobard laughed, it’s not like the powers came with an instructive of how to make every attack The Flash did, I did lot of research and experiments to make it, and I doubt this is more paradoxical than what you did to yourself- responded Eobard.

What?

Barry lifted his eyebrows -what you mean with that? - he questioned, - don’t worry about that, I also did something paradoxical to myself, I think- Eobard answered and looked at his hands, he was mad with himself for a moment. -anyway, you’ll do it some day and it’s not a bad thing so there is no reason to think about it- concluded Eobard.

-Not all paradoxes are bad, noted- commented Barry, Eobard nodded, a bit more relaxed.

Not all paradoxes were bad, not all time travels were bad, they just needed to figure out when one was good or bad, and apparently the only way to know was try and error.

-back to throwing rays, what I gotta do?- prompted Barry, that lifted more the mood of Eobard, he was very into explaining the process of the powers of Flash – the thing is you have to move the molecules’ frequency in the air and throw them while calculating that where you want them to reach they’re going back to their own orbit- he explained, easy said than done, - or you can use friction to create the electricity from start and just throw it- Thwane informed.

-yes, I think the second one it’s easier- said Barry, and Eobard rolled his eyes , of course first one had the surprise element but for the time they had the second seemed the best option.

Caitlin passed to check her patients, and saw them moving doing repeating movements instead of being resting,  She coughed – what is going on?- she asked, Barry and Eobard stopped doing their throwing rays practice – just trying to learn the technic that Jesse used back there, it could be useful to defeat Savitar- notified Barry, she hummed -yes, do that after you get some rest and feel better- admonished them Caitlin, and she was right they needed to rest.

Going back to the track Savitar part of the team.

They were done analyzing the gauntlet, the moment Savitar tried to retrieve it back to his suit it would give a signal that the computer would find.

Caitlin had come back and informed the idea that Barry and Eobard of learning Jesse’s technique, which they needed to teach to Wally too, it was fine, maybe Joe would be worried so bad that his boy was being in the list of the final fight against Savitar but they really needed all help, no matter if he was a beginner in this hero thing, besides they will try to calm Joe explaining him that he wouldn’t be alone.

-just a little mistake and this is over- Cisco commented looking at the computer with the gauntlet information, Harrison nodded -that goes two ways- he observed.

-we’ll be fine, this time we have a plan- optimistically said Cisco, Harry was more sceptic – you mean the plan that is attack the weak point? The idea that came from him- he said pointed to HR who was playing with his drumsticks surrounded by coffee mugs filled at different heights to sound different, either HR didn’t listen or didn’t offend about the comment about his plan, because his only response was to offer them more coffee with a smile.

It was too many mugs ago that they needed to rest too but they needed every second they had.

-I’m making a weapon, want to help?- invited Harrison, Cisco made some movements in the computer, synchronizing it to his phone, now it will alert him on his phone as well if the gauntlet signal came and followed Harrison to the weaponry.

In the infirmary where two speedsters were supposing to be resting were very awake in a very awkward silence.

The yellow speedster turned to the red one – you seem very tense, want to talk about something? It may distract you from thinking about Savitar- Eobard offered.

Barry nodded, he needed to relax, and he could take the opportunity to learn more about his husband.

-why you love Big belly burger so much?- questioned Barry, Eobard did a dramatic touch to his heart -what? As if isn’t obvious, it’s the best meal this century have- Eobard said, Barry chuckled, -it’s a burger- pointed Barry -just meat- he added, -Barry, where I come from there is no meat for burgers, it’s gone, the cows are extinct, one day boom, no more burgers- explained Eobard, it seemed like Eobard and HR shared they interest in food they couldn’t have if they were back to their homes.

-sorry about that- Barry answered, Eobard nodded -thanks, I’ve been trying to replicate them, but I still haven’t reached a good specimen- confessed Thawne.

Cloning wasn’t exactly Barry area, but he enjoyed the talk anyway every time Eobard explained the combinations of dna of the different test that had make over the years.

-if there is something you want to know about me that you don’t know yet, go ahead and shoot- prompted Barry, and his husband wondered for a bit -I’m pretty sure I know everything about you- boasted the blond.

Barry arched an eyebrow -you know my favorite show?- asked Barry, -dragon ball of course- Eobard kept showing off, -okay which is y talent?- questioned the scarlet speedster, Eobard yawned – you mean apart from being late when you have the power of super speed? It’s singing- he answered in no time, with no need to think about it.

-name the main character of my favorite childhood book- interrogated Barry, once again this was no big deal for the super fan of The Flash who as soon as the question was made the answer was out – the Maiasaur-

Barry laughed -man, you got a problem- he said, -I differ, you don’t have all the facts- protested Eobard, -which are?- questioned Barry, - culture of the 21 century is very interesting to me, in which The Flash history is one of my biggest interest subjects of the time, and more importantly, I love you- affirmed Eobard.

Allen was red as his hero suit, what he should say in a moment like this?

And suddenly the words of Savitar resonated on his mind, the threat of Eobard dying soon.

The terror of losing the man he loved.

The man that he loved? Yeah, that’s right, the man he loved. The time for hesitation was over. Every second was a gift and he wouldn’t throw them off, he would find a way to defeat Savitar and save Eobard, his friends, family and everyone else in central city.

-I love you too- confessed Barry, and they softly kissed.

A big fight was coming, and The Flash was more ready and decided than ever, of course he still had to practice the throwing electricity part, and maybe he had to press Cisco to practice more with his powers so he could vibe the future of him and make some measures for different possible scenarios.

Chapter Text

After a good resting time, the team was ready for the next thing on the schedule, training for real.

Jesse was training Barry and Wally that was part one of the flash team, Cisco and Harry had finished their weapon so Cisco was practicing to vibe Eobard’s future, also to see if everything was right with his powers he took shots to try to vibe Caitlin too who was there to control her freezing powers while Harrison took some notes, and finally HR was making sure everyone were in good mood and if needed, good cup of coffee, talk about feelings would fix it back, and he was in charge of monitoring the broken piece of armor.

Jesse looked at the men in front her, they were exhausted, but they were getting better.

-ok guys, you’re doing amazing, let’s rest and eat something- she proposed, the guys nodded, - I know this great place- said Wally to Jesse, - right let’s go- she answered, and the two youngest speedsters went out as two rays leaving Barry alone in the room.

He wondered how the rest of the team were doing, and what’s best to know that checking by yourself? he went to the room with his friends and husband.

Caitlin was feeling a bit anxious every now and then, but she was able to control her powers like she wanted, she was still a bit worried about if using them to fight would wake something bad in her, but HR got all that covered, talking to her so she could remember that she was a good person and a good friend.

Cisco told him that the vibe future part was mastered but there were no clues to alter that horrible future.

And that hurt Barry, there would must be something he could do to change the death of Eobard, there had to be, maybe Cisco wasn’t focusing on all the things around the deadly scenario, maybe he could modify something to create a different event that the one seen, maybe…

Two hands over his shoulders woke him from his thoughts – you will find other way, we’ll find other way - reassured him Eobard with a smile.

The couple of married speedsters went for something to eat but returned to the labs, in an empty room.

Barry looked Eobard happily enjoy his meal, he appreciated that look on his face, it surrounded the place with a happy vibe, like nothing in the world were bad, like there wasn’t some super evil guy running out there planning their end.

Eobard was telling him something funny that Cisco vibed and how he reacted but Barry couldn’t understand what he was saying, the mind of Barry was focusing on the sound of Eobard’s voice, his laugh.

How many moments like this did they had left?

No, he couldn’t think like that, that was giving up, he couldn’t give up, he would protect Eobard, they’d be fine.

Why couldn’t his husband just tell him what he needed, damn the time, this was more important, it was his life, it wasn’t even a fixed point and yet he didn’t want to tell him what he needed to defeat Savitar.

Why?

Why?

And then he decided, maybe they’d have a fight for being too pressing about the future, but he loved that man and damn if he wasn’t going to do all he could to save him.

-tell me- Barry begun, -huh?- said Eobard confused, -tell me why you- he continued but was interrupted by HR

-the thing is moving- HR informed.

Savitar was calling his gauntlet, the self-proclaimed god of speed was being tracked, soon they’d know where he was hiding.

-also, I have an idea- he said with a big smile, “it must had been a good idea to the fight” thought Barry, but he was needed and so, went with the rest, Eobard stood in the room with HR to hear his idea.

The knife-gauntlet was trying to escape and return to his master

-we got him- affirmed Cisco, and then a moment later he left out -oh no-, according to the image in the screen Savitar was on his way to the labs and could be there in any mo-

Whoosh.

A gust came on the room. The super speedster was there.

But they knew how to fight him.

Jesse started throwing him rays, Wally and Barry joined her, Caitlin was ready, but she preferred to use her powers only as last choice.

Cisco started throwing blasts of vibrations.

The evil speedsters was easily dodging all their attacks.

-fool mortals, you should know by now that everything you do is useless- reminded them Savitar, -last time I checked you ran away because your armor broke- taunted Jesse, -You’re no more than a human like us in a suit- she added.

Her words made everyone feel more confidence in themselves, he was just a villain, a villain in an amazing suit, but it can be defeated.

Harry pointed at Savitar the gun that Cisco and he had been working on, a bazooka or to be more specific, an interdimensional quantum splicer.

Harry shoot, but Savitar evaded it.

-enough- he said and attacked back, leaving them in the ground, and approaching his gauntlet.

A ray came and attacked Savitar in the back.

Barry saw Eobard throwing rays at Savitar.

-Ready to day sooner than planned, Thawne?- asked the evil speedster and turnned to look at the former villain.

-are you?- said Eobard with mock in his tone.

And the god of speed took a step back, everyone used this moment of confusion to stand back, sadly, Savitar also lose no time and grabbed back his gauntlet.

 -your end is near- warned them Savitar, looking at Eobard, and all fears and rage that Barry had went up, then he remembered his question for Eobard, why he cared about not altering something that was not a fixed point, was he protecting someone? Who was he protecting? It was him? It was Savitar did he owe something to that man?

Who was this person? It was after all, just a person.

-who are you?- wondered out Barry, Savitar -I’m the end of Flash- reminded him Savitar and left.

It didn’t mattered that Savitar left this time, they could track him with the computer.

Barry couldn’t take it anymore, he needed to know, Barry took Eobard by the hand and they went to an empty room.

-enough- Barry exclaimed at his husband, -careful, you’re starting to sound like Savitar- joked Eobard, Barry ignored the joke, -I mean, why are you defending a point in time that is not fixed? Who are you protecting?- questioned the scarlet speedster.

-take a guess- answered Eobard, - Eobard- Barry started to complain but was interrupted by his husband -wrong, take another guess-

Eobard seemed like he was willing to protect this secret even with his life so it was probably dumb to insist.

-ok, let’s go with the others, we need plans, maybe even the great plan of HR- Barry tried to change the subject -which was?- he asked.

A sad smile showed over Eobard face, took a finger to his mouth in signal of silence -It’s secret- Eobard said.

How annoying all this secret time thing was, HR was going to tell them both his plan, what changed? Oh well, he could ask HR later.

They returned with the others, Barry looked at HR, and HR avoided his look, he frowned his eyebrows. Oh great, he was playing whatever Eobard was.

-how do we stop him, he always seems to know our moves, one step ahead- exclaimed Wally

And then it hit Barry, he knew who was behind the suit. There was only one person Eobard would care enough to not say a word even if his own life was at risk.

The man in the Savitar suit was no less than Barry Allen.

It had to be, that was Eobard was keeping info from him, he knew if Barry knew it meant Savitar would know.

-guys, I.. I think I can’t be here- commented Barry, -what? You must be the most interested in this, aren’t you?- questioned Cisco, -I think is me- confesed Barry.

-you’re what?- confusedly said Cisco

-I think I’m the reason Savitar is one step ahead us, I think it’s a future version of me- left out Barry, - what?- exclaimed Cisco, “what” indeed was the thought of Barry.

They turned to look at Eobard to negate or affirm the flash’s theory.

-that’s the correct answer- affirmed Eobard.

They looked at each other

-ok, Barry, you need to stay out of this for a moment, you’ll help us in the actual fight.- Harry suggested, he nodded and went out.

The rest made out the plan.

Later Eobard went to him and hugged him.

-Sorry- Barry apologized

-no need, you haven’t done anything- Eobard explained

-but he’s me, and he wants to kill you- Barry cried, and Eobard’s caressed Barry’s cheek, - that’s not your fault to regret, it’s Savitar who needs to apologize- assured him Eobard.

They just told Barry to be in a central city park and wait for Savitar, that was just like the vision of Cisco, the place where Eobard would die, and there was Eobard by his side.

-you ready for this?- asked Barry to his husband, the one who smiled at him and said – of course-

Savitar arrived just as expected.

-ready to play your part?- questioned Savitar

-never- responded Barry.

And the fight begun, Barry tried to make him stay away from Eobard all he could.

Meanwhile the team Flash was doing everything according to their plan.

Harry was in position to shoot whenever the opportunity was given.

Cisco, Jesse, and Wally started to attack, making Savitar go in certain direction.

Cailtin saw the speed God reach the point she was in charge and froze the ground and Savitar stopped a moment.

The opportunity was there, Harry shoot the bazooka.

And a portal to the speed force was open and took Savitar with it.

They made it!

Everyone were celebrating and happy.

Savitar appeared behind Eobard, and his hand went through his body, Savitar left the dead body fall.

Harry and Cisco were confused, how was Savitar able to be there when he was supposed to be trapped in the speedforce again.

Savitar took his helmet off, revealing in fact to be Barry, a Barry with long hair and a scar on his face, showed the philosopher stone on his hand.

-you can’t lock me if I got this- Savitar laughed.

Barry cried; all the pain filled him. He had failed.

The flash attacked.

Cisco activated a program to control the suit and made Savitar unable to escape with suit, so he did what anyone with common sense would do, abandon the suit.

The stone fell.

The ray needed a moment to recharge, so meanwhile the speedsters, Vibe and Caitlin attacked with all their forces.

Savitar fell on the ground, Barry stood right beside him.

-Kill me- yelled Savitar

-no- answered Barry

- you kill me, and we go on and on on this loop- affirmed Savitar.

The anger inside Barry was also yelling him to kill the guy on the floor.

-no more deaths- said Barry, but he punched him.

-no more deaths- repeated Eobard who was now grabbing the bazooka and shooting right to Savitar.

In less than a second the evil Speedster that had brought nightmares to their lives was done.

The loop was done, Eobard was alive, somehow, and Barry wouldn’t transform into that.

Barry looked at his husband with tears on his eyes.

How?

-how?- he asked.

- with my amazing plan- exclaimed HR

And then HR explained that it was a trick with microphones, projections, and some advanced dummy doll.

With still tears on his eyes he grabbed Eobard so hard, he wanted to feel this was the real him, he wanted to hold him and not ever let him go.

-I thought I lost you- Barry confessed, Eobard hugged him harder -you have you try harder if you ever want to get rid of me- warned him the blond speedster.

They laughed and hugged, the rest of the team joined the hug and celebrated in the labs.

Chapter Text

Time travels are like a game, sometimes you know the rules, sometimes is a gamble, sometimes you can cheat on them and nobody could notice, or you could cheat, and everyone notices and take you out of the game.

For Savitar it was end of the line.

For Barry, it was a new life, he had a husband and even thought at first was so confusing and found it as a nightmare. Now it was a dream.

He lived with Eobard now.

They talked about science, they fought against metahumans, enjoyed some big belly burgers.

Sitting on a couch, hugging each other, This was heaven.

-what are you thinking?- asked Eobard to his husband.

-I never thought I’d find myself enjoying passing time with you, I never imagined loving, much less as much as I love you- Barry said.

Eobard left out a little laugh -this is what you get when you mess with time- pointed Eobard.

They kissed.

-I’m so glad I did- confessed Barry.
