    After Eddie is shot, Buck crawls into the open to protect him.

    Then the sniper fires again.

    “I’m here,” Buck says immediately, “I’m right here. I'm gonna get you out of he—.”

    The sentence is cut short as a second shot rings across the street. 
    Something hot rips across his upper arm, tearing through fabric and skin in a flash of white pain that knocks the air out of him.
