   Summary

   Takes place immediately before and just after Jim Kirk awakens at the end of Star Trek: Into Darkness.

   Emotionally overwrought and physically depleted after watching Jim Kirk hover near death for days, McCoy and Spock cling to each other in relief and exhaustion after Kirk awakens. Then Spock finds a unique way to thank McCoy for saving his friend.
