AO3 Tag Wranglers continue to test processes for wrangling canonical additional tags (tags that appear in the auto-complete) which don't belong to any particular fandom (also known as "No Fandom" tags). This post overviews some of these upcoming changes.

On June 10, the Government of Canada introduced Bill C-34, the Safe Social Media Act. If passed, this bill would require social media sites and AI chatbot services to implement design features and safeguards to protect young users, including a duty to make certain content inaccessible, prevent children under the age of 16 from having social media accounts, and enforce age restrictions for accessing visual pornographic content.

The Elections Committee would like to thank all of our candidates for their hard work in this year's election. We would also like to thank our departing Board Directors, Anh Pham and Qiao Chu, for all their work during their Board terms. As previously advised, the Board of Directors is sorry to inform the membership that directors Erica Frank, elected in 2024, and Kathryn Soderholm, elected in 2023, stepped down from their positions on the Board prior to the 2026 election. We are grateful for their service and thank them for their hard work and dedication.
