The election has opened!

Every OTW member who joined between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024 should have a ballot by now. If you didn't get one, please check your spam folder first, then contact us via our contact form. Please note that your donation receipt will be dated in US Eastern Time, so if your donation is listed after 19:59 on June 30, 2024 on the receipt, you won't be eligible to vote. If you are unsure whether your donation was made before the deadline, please contact our Development and Membership Committee by using the contact form on our website and selecting "Is my membership current/Am I eligible to vote?".

The election will run through August 19, 2024, 23:59 UTC; check this time zone converter to find out what time that will be for you.

Once you've voted, you can head over to Twitter/X and use the hashtag #OTWE2024 to meet and chat with other voters! We'd love to hear from you!

Hey if any ao3 support could reply that'd be great! how do I get updates on ao3 sent to my email where it isn't Twitter/X? Or is this the only way to get it sent to my email?

  Not AO3 support, but you can always try using an RSS feed to email service to get the AO3 blog updates sent to your email. The RSS feed icon is at the top of the page, right below the title. You just click on that, copy the RSS feed link from the address bar, and use some other service to send updates to your email. I found a few just by googling "RSS to email".

Whose seats are up for election/whom will the elected directors be replacing? I've looked everywhere I can think to but it isn't clear if it's just whose term is up? I feel like this should be front and center info but maybe I'm missing something obvious 🤷

  As laid out in the AO3 Terms of Service (TOS), our goal is maximum inclusiveness of fanwork content. Therefore, these works are welcome on AO3.
  Our TOS are designed to comply with United States law. It is legal in the U.S. to create and share fictional content about murder, theft, assault, or other such crimes. It is also legal in the U.S. to create and share fictional content about topics such as child sexual abuse, rape, incest, or bestiality. AO3 allows users to post and access fiction about all of these topics.
  However, we do require that works containing underage sexual content use either the "Underage" Archive Warning or the "Creator Choose Not To Use Archive Warnings" label. If you see a work that needs one of these Archive Warnings, you can let the Policy & Abuse committee know.
