Chapter two: we can't date
Kanae was sitting on the couch, texting a certain someone *wink wink*, when all of a sudden the door was rapidly banged on. Startling her from her peacefully silence, she groaned and walked over to the door to open it. However, when she did, an angry looking Kanao stood on the other end.
Kanao walked right past her yelling "Where is she!?"
"Wa- who? Why are you here??" A confused Kanae asked as she followed Kanao. They were currently in a Luxury apartment that Shinobu's fiancé had rented for them to stay in since his actual house was out of the big city. He didn't mind really though, because he owned a huge company and money wasn't a problem at the moment.
"Shinobu! Who else!?"
"Why? What did she do?"
The younger sister stopped and looked at the older one "Apparently she got me a tinder account, and now I have a match! Whatever the heck that means?" Raising a brow in confusion in her last sentence as she looked at her phone, she turned it around so her sister could take a look.
Kanae put on the most innocent (but awkward) smile she could as she looked at the phone. "Uhuh... definitely Shinobu's doing" were the only words she could uttered. A white lie to save herself from being murdered by the younger girl before her...
Kanao turned away from her and continued her rampage through the apartment to find Shinobu. Slamming the door of the guest room open sat the very person she was looking for on the bed. "SHINOBU!!"
Right away the middle child was scared shitless for her life, not knowing what she had done wrong. Dropping her phone on the bed Shinobu quickly grabbed a pillow to protect herself with. "What did I do!!??!?"
"You know what you did!! You made me a Tinder account when I specifically told you I didn't want to be in a relationship!!! What the hell am I supposed to say to this guy!?" Yelled a very, VERY... angry younger sister as she threw her phone at the elder one who caught it.
Shinobu sat there for a second, processing what her sister had said, with her face scrunched up in a confused manner. "Wait, what?"
"What do you mean what!? You're the one who downloaded the app so you're gonna fix it!!"
Raising a brow, Shinobu looked a Kanao now very confused on what was going on "I didn't download no app. What are you talking about?"
"Then who else could have-...!?" Slowly... very slowly... Kanao turned her head behind her with a murderous glair. And if looks could kill, Oh boy... Kanae would have dropped dead minutes ago...
There was a dark aurora around the room as the eldest of them all sweat bullets like crazy. Shinobu didn't dare move and It was so quiet you could a pin drop on the ground if one did, and before you knew it Kanao bolted for Kanae.
She shrieked loudly as she ran away and her last words were "I CAN EXPLAIN, I CAN EXPLAIN!!!!!"
After a very, very long chase around the house two of them finally came to an agreement of letting Kanae explain.
"So let's me get this straight" Kanao started after a long explanation "you downloaded Tinder on my phone. after I specifically told you I didn't want to get into a relationship with someone, and then hid the app somewhere I wouldn't find it. Then you logging into the account you had made me on your phone so you could scroll through it and pick out the best guys you could find for me so when I got a match I would get the notification and so would you... is that correct?"
"That pretty smart not gonna lie-" Shinobu mumbled
"Yes that's correct...."
"..."
"..."
"..."
After a very long awkward silence of the three of them making eye-contact between each other Kanao finally broke it. "So how the hell am I supposed to tell this guy I can't date him?"
"Why not!?" Kanae yelled confused on why her sister couldn't just date already. She was 22 for crying out loud and has never been in a relationship before so why not try now?
"Because I just- I-I-... I can't!! Ok!?"
"..."
Looking to the ground to avoid eye-contact with her siblings, the two other children just waited in silence "I can't... be in a relationship... it wouldn't be fair to the guy I'm dating..."
The older sisters looked at each other with a look only siblings can make to secretly talk with each other without actually talking before Shinobu spoke for the both of them. "Is this because-"
"Yeah..." Kanao said cutting her off from he sentence.
"That shouldn't stop you from dating though Kanao. You-"
"And what would you say if you were in my shoes?? Huh???... you'd say the exact same things I am because you wouldn't want to burden anyone with yourself..."
"Is that seriously what you think you are?" The eldest said butting into the conversation that was originally her problem. "A burden...?? Kanao you're not a burden, you're just... sick is all... you're just sick and-"
"I'm not sick Kanae!-"
'Here we go again' A tired Shinobu though as she sat on the other end of the couch Kanae was on and stared scrolling through her phone.
"You are sick!!"
"No I'm not!!!"
"You are!!!"
"IM NOT!!!"
"..."
"I'm not sick... it's death, and you shouldn't be afraid to say that that's what it is...! I'm dying Kanae. So stop being a baby and saying it's some stupid sickness cause it's not! So back to the main topic of this damn conversation before it turned into this, how the hell am I supposed to tell this guy I can't date him!?" A now pissed off Kanao said wanting to end the conversation. "I don't even know the guy so-"
"Actually you do." Shinobu said butting into the argument, but quickly regretting her comment as soon as she had said it.
"What do you mean?"
"Well uhh... you remember that guy your dog took out in the park-?"
"SO YOU WERE IN ON IT!?"
"...kinda?"
"Unbelievable... wait he has Tinder?" A now, no longer angry, but confused Kanao said looking at her older sister on the far end of the couch. (If you're wondering how this conversation just took a 180 it's a siblings thing... it happens all the time and you just gotta go with it lmao)
"That's what I said!!"
"How did you even find him?"
Shinobu opened up her mouth to speak but nothing came out. Instead, she scrunched up her face in confusion while thinking about it before she finally replied "yu' know, I don't actually know..."
"You know what... it doesn't matter..." The youngest said taking her phone from Shinobu who had brought it with her from the bedroom, and went Into the app "doesn't matter- you Seriously hid the app in the game section... really? Whatever...I'll just tell him it's not gonna happen and move on with my daaaaaaand he texted me... he texted me- WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO SAY!?!??" Kanao yelled freaking out
"He texted you!?"
"Yeah no shit Einstein, what do you think she said?" Shinobu said trowing a pillow at Kanae's face.
"You don't gotta be so rude about it!!"
"GUYS!!! What am I supposed to say!?"
"I DON'T KNOW!!" They yelled at the same time
"You know what it's fine... I'll just... can we get something to eat first?"
"Definitely" "Yup lets go"
And off they went to get food first before they would text her Tinder match...
By the time they got back to the house it was already 1pm in the afternoon. No longer stressed out from their previous conversation, Kanao sat on the couch ready to type. Her fingers glided across the keyboard for a minute before she settled with the response she got. Reading over it to make sure there wasn't any spelling errors (which there weren't) she hit the send button.
Tanjiro paced around the room while his episode continued to play. He chewed his nails as he stared at the message that was sent to him wondering what he should reply back. Obviously as of this moment, he had left the poor girl on read for 10 minutes already, not knowing what to say.
Finally, after what felt like eternity, Tanjiro put on his big boy pants and started to type his response. After deleting it a couple of times before he thought it was good enough, he sent it.

"Sorry who is this? My sister apparently got me a Tinder account without me knowing to hook me up with someone. Sorry for the inconvenience."
"Oh, no, that's ok I don't really mind. My names Tanjiro if that helps any?"

While the two tinder matches texted each other, Kanae and Shinobu on the other hand were watching the whole thing on Kanae's phones. They hadn't gone into the app however, because they didn't want to lure attention to themselves. (Even though they did go into the app to see the previous messages from earlier which led to Shinobu thinking 'this bitch really just asked who he was even tho I already told her???' But we don't talk about that-)
On Kanao's point of view she quickly looked over the message that was sent to her before texting back.

"As in the guy that my dog trampled through the park???"
"Wait what!? That was you!? I new I new you from somewhere lol. Just couldn't get my finger wrapped around it XD"
"Anyways, how have you been doing since I last saw you?"
"Good I guess?? What about you?? How's your back after you got dragged around a park by a dog half your size?"
"Haha very funny... it's good no scratches or anything. How's your doggo?"
"She has a name you know..."
"No way really!??! I had no idea you actually named your dog!"
"..."
"No but really what's her name??"
"..."
"Eri..."
"Really? Like from that one show??"
"I can't remember the name of it but what ever..."
"It's a good name :)"
"What show??"
"I literally just said I couldn't remember the name of it T-T"
"Yeah ok whatever. it's not from a show though. I don't really watch TV or anything like that..."
"Dude that's so sad..."
"I don't care who you are or where you live but I am totally making you watch a movie with me! Your life seem so sad 🥺"
"I don't even know you though..."
"But now you do! No excuses!!"
"Listen I can't be your friend. So we should probably stop talking, and you can move on with your day. Forget this ever happened it's for the best."
"What!? No way!! Why would I do that?"
"Because it's for the best."
"Naw fuck that!! Your dog dragged me through the park for crying out loud... this is fate!!! We were totally meant to meet and become the best of friends!"

"I-... I don't even know what to say to that... there was like.... no hesitation just-... straight to the point!! You sure you're not making stuff up so you don't have to talk to me?"

"Because you're hella cute. Any man to snatch you up would feel like they just won the lottery of a trillion dollars 💵 also- face it hunny... this was totally fate!! And gee stop being sad..."

Finally, after what felt like hours, Kanao shut off her phone with a ghost of a smile on her face.
On the other hand, Tanjiro had the biggest smile on his. He himself had no idea he was even capable of flirting but apparently once he started it was hard for him to stop.
As for the sisters... well they had wide eyes the whole conversation. And when night came you can bet both of the tinder buddies when to bed with a smile on their faces.
