Chapter Text
As Ben and Darius walked they kept an eye on their prisoner, Ben behind them riding on top of bumpy Darius walking in front holding the spear ready to fight anything that tried to attack they walked like that for a while. The tense was really starting to get on Owens nerves. Why are there kids on the island and by the looks of them they have been then for a while.
“... so how long have you two been on the island?” Owen cautiously asks
The two boys glanced at each other, unsure if they should speak up but decided against it. The rest of the walk was eerie, every sound of a distant dinosaur making the two prisoners jump unsure of their fate.
After about a 30 min walk they ended up at a treehouse with a slide and a fence surrounding it. They were thrown into a pit with the gate tide shut; their two captives left them alone with their thoughts.
“ I think I know who these kids” Owen looks at Claire curiously.
“ i thought they died, i heard that none of them made if off when the island fell,” claire looked saddened when she said that”
“ What are you talking about?” Owen snapped clearly fed up with the situation. Its kinda of hard not to be.
“ the kids from the camp program we had. They were on the other side of the island in a trial run. My nephews were going to be a part of the program thank god they weren't. We could never get a rescuer party after the party. The island was a no go zone” Claire explained looking out the gate thoughtfully. it pains her how long they been left here
On the other side of the camp the nublar six were trying to figure out what to do with their new found prisoners. They trusted Kenji to keep watch as they figured out what they wanted to do.
“ I say we feed them to toro . they only people people the come to the island are those hunting dinos for sport, they don't deserve to live” Ben was angered done having to dealing with for the last five years
“ They said their names are Claire Derling and Owen Grady. Don't you remember who they are?” Everyone looked at Darius. The only one with a dawn of understanding was Brooklyn who researched for her video she was supposed to do for Jurassic world. So Brooklyn decided to fill every one in on the gossip
“ Claire Derling basically ran the island, nothing happened here without her knowing and Owen grady trained the raptors; they were the heads of their field. It was totally awesome.”
“ we should first find why they hear and why the hell they arrived in a box. It was like they were served up to get eaten” Yas said. “ Yea it's probably the only thing we can do but keep them as prisoners” kenji shrugs there not much that they could do. Their prisoners haven't done anything that makes them suspicious. But that hasn't meant that something won't come to bite them in the ass.
“ give them time to stew in their thoughts then we question them. But they can't stay here for long, we don't have the manpower for constant watch” with the final order given by Darius they all went off to their pairs Yas and Sammy, Kenji and brooklyn. And lastly Darius and Ban off to do their daily chores.
The camp itself is self-sustaining with a small farm with fruit and vegetables and a spring with fresh water the dino usually leaves them alone sometimes you get the occasional compi but nothing they haven't gotten used to. Life on the island is peaceful. The only thing they have to worry about is carnivores and poachers but some time in the last year poachers don't come to isla nublar any more. They all thought it was because they never make it back off the island fed to toro or rexy.
Ben and Darius decided to sit by the prison, exhausted Darius leaned his head on Ben's shoulder and let out a breath “ what are we going to do ben. if they're here to hurt the dinos it could be really bad. It's been over 6 month since we had to deal with poachers but if they are good they would just be stuck here with the rest of us.”
“ hey hon it would work out we survived this long. And we never would've made it without a dino nerd.” Ben smiled at him kindly and Darius closed his eyes. Their problems could wait until after a much needed nap
