Chapter Text
Well, might as well get off our asses and explore for the both of us, Lumine stood with that in mind as she came down from the twitching mess she was from electro, Ayaka had it much worse.
For some reason she was special enough to be her only other contact keeping her from talking to herself for a long time which wasn’t good for her mind. Only if you believed her therapist or family, but she could see reason.
Electro continued to shower off of Ayaka as she had been in that cage for longer than anyone knew. They seemed to move on command of someone else which would usually mean the shogun but that couldn’t be right.
The Kamisato’s were still in her good graces despite the obvious signs they disagreed with what they were doing to Inazuma for long enough where they should’ve obviously been detained at some point.
But, they all played the game and knew of the plot armor which existed on all of them, like how none of them could ever be killed because they were playable (Watch this age horribly) Lumine would bet her life on that one.
Kamisato Ayaka didn’t seem to be in the best condition, clearly she wasn’t allowed to rest as she had fallen asleep quite fast from exhaustion, and she clearly needed the food to help rejuvenate her.
Slowly she gave her the tiniest bite of food she could manage. That matpat video showed the danger of trying to give her a whole meal at the time. Ayaka had been confused but the premise of “Dying if you eat so much after being starved” had been enough for her to see her view.
Yes she was now the caretaker to the rich and powerful, give her an award, she takes all payments in mora.
How she missed her other half (something apparently called a boyfriend) , someone who could’ve reassured her that everything was going to be alright if she managed to stick it out with Lumine.
Aether was someone of more importance than any of them knew, and within her heart he became the ultimate person, for him she would do anything. But did it have to involve being trapped in her own estate?
It was hard to tell why exactly she was trapped but it seemed to be a punishment from some force she couldn’t understand despite the knowledge she had received about the proof of the universe.
The travelers weren’t the original people she was supposed to meet but she would trade them both to see Aether, even if that meant dealing with her more irritable sister. He had been such a shy and sweet boyfriend.
With how much the both of them blushed it was a bit of a surprise that they managed to hold hands at the most since anything else seemed much too far, it had been special when he worked up the courage to kiss him.
She instantly kissed him back, which sounded like a pretty good beginning for porn, and the both of them got to experience what Lumine would call “A light peck” peck or kiss, it didn’t matter as long as they were together.
Lumine was the opposite to almost everything he was, but they completed each other if Aether’s confession about her were to be believed. With that cloud hanging over his head it was a bit surprising he had managed to end the vision hunt decree.
Aether and Lumine were much different but their love couldn’t be questioned despite how much they seemed to despise each other some times, “it was what made their dynamic work” he confessed while looking how the Ayaka and Ayato got along.
“Sometimes I wish we could be like you two.” He had whispered to her before he left Inazuma to wherever the next adventure took him. She giggled “She would not be Lumine in that scenario.” But she did have to explain sibling dynamics to him.
“We may seem perfect but we disagree.” “Well, yeah, all people disagree at some point.” Aether had a thick head, “Yes, but how many would you let constantly argue with you? Most people would’ve stopped interacting.” He did have to admit only with his family would he constantly argue.
She saw as his whole world seemed to widen as the very instant she spoke those words, now if only she could convince her brother to stop teasing her so much about the circumstances around meeting him.
No, Ayato, it’s not because he’s an alien from another world!
“Open up, I think drinks are the only things safe for now, I wouldn’t want to deal with your brother and mine over your death.” She felt a lot warmer after drinking the concoction which was presented.
“Thank you.” She bowed as it took effect and she felt slightly more nourished, who knew medicine could be this advanced? Too bad they were still stuck in the isolation period.
Change wouldn’t come overnight as she had understood from Aether's comments but they could be a player in the world and not just because of their Archon. Perhaps one day they could be like Liyue?
“I have a question.” Lumine looked at the weather to her, “Do you believe we could be as strong as Aether says?” Well, what did he say to someone like you, Ayaka?
“And then I’m saying war crimes are good.” She pretended to be the emperor of Japan during WW2. “But, surely they must’ve seen how bad it was.” Ah, to be innocent, “Well he only lived in his palace, he was essentially a figurehead, so the military ran the country.”
Wait a minute… this almost sounds like- “And they were different factions warring for control.”
“So Aether wasn't lying when he said Inazuma was inspired by your world.”
She just had to deal with the fact that her little brother had fallen in love, she always knew genshin was going to destroy society. It just started with her brother, all that art must’ve developed a bit of an immunity.
“At least you weren’t committing crimes against humanity.” That sounded a lot more harsh than anything she had done.
She sat there as the electro left her and listened to her trying to explain the thing they called WW2. “And they said, stop it, you're being a very bad boy, Japan said no.” Should she be laughing at this?
Lumine was funny even in this historical explanation. Time passed as they took a break to feed Ayaka and more explanations of the history of the planet Earth where The twins originated from.
“Alright, let’s go.” They stretched and took up their swords and began walking towards wherever Lumine was leading them, meanwhile the sky continued to rage at something. She handed Ayaka a map to help her see.
It had to manifest in some sort of way, don’t think about too much. Story-gameplay segregation.
“So, last time I was here I had just been told to talk to Yoimiya, let’s go do that.” She had been told of what happened so it would be interesting to go and see the effects of Aether’s meeting.
“Do I have to go see Yae, the fox lady is much too smug for me.” Oh, her face when she saw Ayaka nod. God, let’s go and see the mission of Yoimiya’s before she loses her mind.
So this little box held all the potential in the world, and it could produce music on its own? Earth must be the best planet ever. “Not, really, but at least we can stay here while they all destroy themselves slowly.”
Not like she understood philosophy so she let her just speak whatever it was Lumine was trying to say. Did she ever speak just to hear her superiority, much like the commision members?
Except she wasn't someone with actual power.
“And so, that is why this is the best piece of video game music!” Anything to keep herself from the whole lack of people, even Katheryne was absent from this land. Apparently even god knew what exactly she was.
“Sanctuary is a good song, especially with all of these instruments you failed to tell me about.” “Well… I’m not versed at all in instruments, I couldn’t tell you what was used in this.” Alright, maybe if they continued to listen then they could learn together.
“See, some may say Simple And Clean is better, honestly, I see it as a tie.” What was this remix thing Lumine spoke off, was it like that thing Liyuens would always complain about, rock and roll?
“No, see while that is a possible remix avenue, many prefer to give it a dance vibe.” She then tried to dance to the remix, it wasn’t much because she couldn’t dance but it was clear she was very passionate about the prospect.
Ayaka had never seen something so unorganized and yet free, rigid as they were in the roles set out by their Archon. But she never had been the best at living under her rules considering they tried to overthrow the shogun.
“Nothing here, see if the map changed.” She pulled out the thing and saw the yellow item move on from where they were standing, “Over there.” She pointed it out on the piece of paper. Lumine grinned, “Alright, hold on to my hand.”
She did as asked and felt herself be almost broken down in a sense into something, and then she was standing right outside of the shogun’s residence. Aether had explained it before but experiencing it was a whole other feature.
“Let’s just go to the police station.” She had never done something like this, good thing this world was empty.
Wow, a whole wooden cover over the obvious entrance, no wonder it took one person to overthrow the government, “When we get out of this I’m teaching everyone how to make a security system.”
“This makes no sense, how is it this big!?” The both of them dodged the big samurai on their way to the elevator, before unleashing Mona’s skill along with Ayaka’s on the big one to make sure it stayed.
You could see the walls of the room were so much bigger on the inside, unless they ran a secret underground prison, which she wouldn’t put it past them, then this whole building would be impossible.
Both of them went up the steps and followed to where the symbols were hanging to form the seal on the door, deactivating the electro statues in the process. More samurai were frozen by the both of them working together.
Despite the needless use of the glider, because of fall damage, she managed to get a drop on them as they chased after Ayaka. The entire room was wet because of destiny before it seemed like hell froze over.
The center room did not hold a person like they were supposed to find if Lumine had managed to not lose herself before continuing the story. “So, when did you realize what might be occurring, I can’t imagine you know love that much.” She raised the fan before launching it once again.
“It happened as soon as we went to the festival, it was nice despite Aether doing his best to not seem uninterested.” She opened the chest as she took in what she said, “That does sound like him.”
“See, I would let you know I hate the festival,” She giggled at another truth reveal, “Aether wouldn’t say it but his body movements would make it obvious.” They both ran back to the hole they came from.
“But I would think he would sit through it for someone he loved, and half the time he would do it for our mom despite constantly bickering.” Well, at least she wasn’t Aether’s mom.
She tipped the cup with what little fluids were inside as they sat down at the restaurant, why did it feel like Lumine was going to come here eventually?
Oh, it was one of those mandatory side quests (Kind of defeats the point of calling it a side quest).
“He always looked somewhat uncomfortable but eventually he began to see the world with wonder.” She placed the cup on the ground.
“Well, yeah, he always was a weeb.” Lumine said as she took the cup back while they once again looked towards the light, Ayaka looked off to another side of the city, meanwhile she only thought of what she was missing.
‘Aether, I think I understand why you like your sister.’
‘I hope she will be there for you when I am not able to.’
Just as soon as the both of them made it back.
The future in laws were going to have a lot of fun during game night.
