Chapter Text
It was a few weeks since Odalia took Luz. Vee, Philip, and Camila were almost ready to tape her to her bed so something bad doesn't happen to her. Thankfully, Amity and Boscha calmed them down. Since then, the family... the full family has spent as much time together as possible. Now there was a picture of the whole Wittebane family hanging in both the Manor and Caleb's house. It felt fitting now that Alexandra was back. Luz was happy that she got her aunt back, but she was also happy because she was back at work.
'Maybe not telling them I'm a mermaid was a bad idea.' Luz thought as she was mopping the floor, 'Don't get wet, don't get wet, don't get wet.'
Luz finished mopping and put the mop away. She wanted to check on the newest employee's. She headed to the Tiger Shark tank, where a girl in a uniform, with an aquarium hat on, was giving a bit of information on the species to a few students during a tour.
"Now, Tiger Sharks are often times called the Dumpster of the Sea, that's due to the fact that they have found things from a license plate, to money, to even a full set of armor in the stomachs of Tiger Sharks. Now, this fact isn't related to Tiger Sharks, but many of the Pelagic sharks, or more commonly called Oceanic Sharks, have this thing called a Parietal eye, which is used for hormone production."
"Say goodbye to Boscha, kids." The teacher said.
The kids say goodbye and they move on to another exhibit.
"So, if you are a tiger shark, then why do you have a third eye?" Luz asked Boscha.
Boscha raised the hat a little, revealing her third eye and winked at her with it.
"My mom is a Tiger Shark, but my other mom is a White Tip." Boscha said, before putting her hat back down, "Guess it's different when your upper body is human and not shark."
"You know, after our shifts are over, maybe you, Amity, and I could go for a dip." Luz said, "Do you like that idea?"
"I don't know what Boscha thinks, but I know I like it." Amity said, coming up to them, with papers in her hands.
"Amity, what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be by the children's area?" Luz asked.
"Yes, but I was told to bring some papers to Mr. Wittebane." Amity said, "By the way, the children love the Betta Fish... nice to know they were raised properly."
"I feel some favoritism." Boscha said, "Are you sure it's not because you are a Betta Fish?"
"Oh, that's 100% true." Amity said, giving Boscha and Luz a kiss on the cheek, "See you later."
She walked away and Boscha and Luz looked at each other.
"Our girlfriend isn't afraid of showing her favorite fish, is she?" Luz asked.
"Nope." Boscha said, giving Luz a kiss, "So, I have to get back to work, I'll see you after my shift."
'The tail was so worth getting two girlfriends.' Luz thought.
While Luz would never forget Skara, she has finally been able to move past her and begin dating again. She knew she would see Skara again, and their love will never fade, but Skara was right, she needed to leave, she needed to find out more about who she is now, and that's something she can't do with Luz. Luz made sure to never forget Skara, because she made the engagement ring into a necklace, that way Skara would always be with her.
'Plus, it's red.' Luz thought, 'I love red... and yellow... and pink... I love colors.'
With that thought, Luz went back to work, excited for her new life with her new mythical girlfriends.
