A vibrating ripple of laughs rip away from Henry’s chuckle and tingle through to Alex, who is currently on top of him. They’re watching a new release on Netflix, called Do Revenge. They hadn’t originally started out in this position. When the beginning credits were rolling, they had been next to each other, side by side. Henry’s arm was draped over Alex’s shoulder, holding him tight against his chest. Alex loved when Henry wrapped his arms around him, he felt warm and safe in Henry’s arms. He could live in any corner of the vast and boundless world, but there in his arms, is where he will always find home. Alex had snuggled a little closer against Henry’s chest. As the movie rolled on, Maya Hawke’s voice sending shivers down his spine, Alex shifted onto Henry’s lap. Eventually, they both decided to just lie down on the couch. Henry made space beside him on their ridiculously big couch, but Alex refused to get up and off of him. So he stayed where he was, warm and comfortable on Henry’s chest. Probably restricting his ability to breath, and definitely crushing him.
Henry smiles at the sight of Alex on top of him. He looks like an angel.
Even though Alex’s eyes are trained on the TV, he can feel the heat of Henry’s eyes on him.
“Baby, watch the movie.”
“But, darling,” Alex can hear the silly smile in Henry’s voice, “You are much more beautiful to look at. I would look at you all day if I could.”
“Shut up, Henry,” Alex says, a flush of red rushes up from his neck and spreads onto his face. He’s grinning so hard his cheeks hurt. Alex ducks his head into the soft fabric of Henry’s sweater in an attempt to hide himself. All it takes is Henry's long nimble fingers briefing themselves into Alex’s curls, pulling gently, for him to look back up.
“I love you,” Alex says, sweetly. Lovingly.
“I know.”
