The two women pull away from the hug. Vi grins at her best friend and pulls the two kids onto her shoulders “well Cait I know it’s been a while but.. happy birthday.”
That’s right, Caitlyn forgot that it was her birthday. How could she remember, when she just witnessed her best friend and partner in crime-fighting supposedly coke back from the dead.
The Kiramman studies the shorter girl. “How do I know it’s truly you?”
“Would I ever lie to you cupcake?” Vi grins as she looks at her with full honestly. As Caitlyn’s eyes soften, she knew this was her Vi.
“No, you never have” Powder and Ekko gag at them.
“Stop being gay!” Powder huffs as her best friend nods. “Yeah!!”
Caitlyn turns to her best friend with a smile.
“Any lovers cupcake?”
Vi watched her closely, waiting for her response.
Caitlyn sighs softly, looking down at the promise ring on her hand. “Are you with somebody violet?”
The shorter woman stays quiet. “What will you do if I say the truth?”
“I’m not sure”
