Chapter Text
Henry stood on the roof, a gentle breeze blowing his hair just enough that he notices it. He had made the decision to meet Austin on the roof. He just hoped he wasn't being tricked again.
Suddenly, henry heard the lock on the door leading to the roof click and the door opened. Henry held his breath and leaned against the wall hoping to seem like a little more than a embarrassment. Austin stepped out onto the roof and spun around to survey the area. He and Austins eyes both met at the same moment.
Henry felt the strange feeling once again and he directed his gaze away to a small crack in the floor.
"I didn't know this crack was here," henry studdered
"I wouldn't know i just arrived," Austin snickered. Henry sighed and looked back at Austin who was still staring.
"So, you wanted to meet," henry stated
"Yes, I wanted to get to know you more," Austin said "y'know, after that shit show of a introduction today." Henry felt embarrassed even further.
"Ok then, im Henry," he said trying to sound brave
"Im Austin" Austin replied in the same tone as henry. Was he mocking him? Or not? Henry and Austin continued to make aqward small talk until both of them felt like there was no actual topic in the meet.
"We both seem unprepared," Austin concluded
"I agree," Henry said, after the last hour of chatting he felt more comfortable speaking with Austin and he felt more confident.
"How about we meet again tomorrow night after our shifts and talk some more," Austin suggested
Henry nodded in agreement. Henry then pivoted on one foot and headed tward the door. He paused for just a split second just in case Austin had anything else to say, when he was met with silence he turned the knob and left Austin alone on the roof.
Austin felt like the meet with Henry was kinda rushed. They had only been talking for a hour and he had so much more to say. But he felt like Henry had already made a connection to Austin but he could not figure out what. He knew this was gonna be a interesting egg to crack.
