Hachisuka wants to be treated in a manner that fits his status as an authentic kotetsu sword, so when Nagasone kept on ignoring his advances, Hachisuka felt offended. These advances were not really “advances”. Ignoring Nagasone and being cold to him wasn’t supposed to be a way to flirt. But he didn’t know any other way to make the other know about his feelings without embarrassing himself for falling for a counterfeit.
He knows that he should just be honest. He knows that all it takes is just three words to change what they mean to each other, and yet he cannot take a step forward. Hachisuka loves Nagasone but he doesn’t like the fact that he thinks of him every time he touched himself. Liking the pain of being owned and subdued was hard for him to accept.
Nagasone doesn’t rely on mixed signals. He is not the type to do the things he knows he’s going to regret in the future. That’s why he is willing to wait until Hachisuka is honest. He is willing to wait for the time when Hachisuka summons the courage to finally tell him what he truly feels.
Waiting is hard. Just a touch from Hachisuka triggers the desire to be close. It makes him want to just drown in desire and touch him like it was something his hands were made for.
Nagasone aches.
Maybe in time, when his lips finally find its home in Hachisuka’s mouth, he can look back and think that all the waiting was worth it.
