Chapter Text
James went down to the common room, in the hopes of finding a quiet place to study. Now that Sirius and Remus were boyfriends, they spent every possible second snogging in their dorm, so it wasn't the best location to try to understand the bloody Potions assignment. There was also a chance that he would see Lilly, so that balanced things out a little.
James opened up the Book of Potions and was surprised by several pieces of parchment falling from it, all of them scribbled in Sirius' awful handwriting. It seemed that in the rush of escaping all the whispering and kissing, he had grabbed Padfoot's book. One of the pages was titled "Sirius Black's Most Amazing and Epic Speech to Convince Remus to Be Boyfriends" and the text was filled with crossed-out words and inkblots. James laughed as he tried to make out whatever Sirius had written down. It was mostly illegible, but the fragments he managed to understand were actually brilliant. Not that he would admit that to Padfoot, of course.
Setting the book aside, James grabbed a piece of parchment and started scribbling: "James Potter's Incredibly Romantic Speech to Get the Love of His Life, Lilly Evans.”
Yeah, nothing could go wrong with that.
