Morgan kisses Hawks forehead gently waking them up. "Good morning, " she smiles down at her child.
Hawk groans, curling into their blanket in an effort to stay warm and asleep.
Morgan softly smiles. "Come on Hawk its time to get up." An irritated groan erupts from Hawk as they sit up, still cocooned in their blanket. "If you wanted more sleep you should have gone to bed when I told you to last night,"
Hawk glares but doesn't offer any arguments. A yawn escapes from their mouth.
"Where's Papa?"
Morgan shrugs. Alex is usually gone in the mornings. "Probably at a meeting."
"Already?" Hawk complains.
Morgan nods. "Let's find some breakfast okay?" Hawk nods and clambers out of bed, reaching out for their mother. Morgan shakes her head, lifting the half-fae child and enjoying the way they wrap their arms tightly around her shoulders and bury their face into her neck. "Just because I'm carrying you doesn't mean you can go back to sleep. We have to get ready for the day. You have big plans, remember?"
Hawk grumbles a little bit before looking up, suddenly awake as they remember what their day has in store. "It's my first trip to the human world! Papa said-"
Morgan smooths their hair down with one hand after setting them in their chair. "Food first. We'll make something to have a picnic when we get over there. Okay?"
Hawk nodded, bouncing in their seat. "Papa won't forget, will he?"
Morgan pinched the ring that was hanging around her neck, metal smooth and warm. "Papa never forgets and he certainly never goes back on a promise. Now, sit still to eat. You need all your energy for later."
