Chapter Text
Aizawa had known that something was off about them for a while now. He just didn't know what it was yet. They never felt like a guy, in fact, they hated being viewed as a guy in any way shape or form. But he didn't feel like a girl either?
He liked all kinds of clothes, whether it be frilly dresses or silky suits, he loved looking at and occasionally wearing clothes. But they never defined who he was. His clothes didn't define their gender cuz they weren't male or female. They were just Shouta.
Couldn't they just be Shouta?
Why did he have to be male or female? Why does he have to have a gender? Why can't they just exist without one? Is it ok to do that? They had never heard of someone who had no gender. Granted, he didn’t have that much internet access until high school, and even then, they didn’t know what to search for, so they couldn't have learned about it.
But this is something he had always felt. They just pushed it away....at least, until some random Sunday where they just randomly started questioning it again.
(I'm on computer so I can't do the little spikey thingys TwT)
Aizawa and his husband, Hizashi, were cuddled up on the bed together. Hizashi was reading a book while Aizawa was scrolling on their phone. He wasn't really trying to think about his lack of gender, he just saw something that reminded him of it. It made them think about it, harder than they did before.....
Come to think about it, they never expressed these feelings to anybody. Just kept it bottled up because he thought feeling something like that was wrong. And, it's not like his parents or the people at school made it any easier to talk about. Whether they said it directly to his face or not. And that just made him bottle it up more.
But Hizashi was so, open, about this kind of thing. He'd been out and proud since high school and knew a lot about sexuality and gender and that stuff.
Aizawa never worked up the courage to ask back then. But, now they can.
"Hey Hizashi," Aizawa asked, "Can someone, like, not have a gender?" They looked up slightly at Hizashi, waiting for a response. "Yea, why?" Hizashi said, not even looking away from the book he was reading. Aizawa didn't know how to answer. They trusted that their husband would accept them but, also, they didn't? All of this was just so weird for them. "What if, I didn't have a gender? What is that called?" Hizashi stirred (as much as he could with his husband crushing his legs) as if he was questioning what to answer. Aizawa almost zoned out until Hizashi spoke.
"Agender, probably." (That bitch still hasn't looked away from his book -_-)
Aizawa froze, and sat up fully to look at their husband. Agender? THAT'S what they've been feeling this whole time. They weren't just crazy? "Agender" "Yea it literally means without gender." Hizashi said FINALLY looking up from his book. "Oh" Aizawa fell back on the bed (further crushing his poor husbands feet)
It all made sense now. This is what he had been feeling for the past 31 years of his life. It was like a wave of relief washed over his normally tense body, he breathed a mush needed sigh of relief. "What" Hizashi spoke up "Is that how you feel?"
Aizawa paused for a brief moment, and sucked in a deep breath.
"Yes."
Aaaaaand we end it here cuz I'm too lazy to weite more :3
