Chapter Text
Osomatsu, Karamatsu, Choromatsu, Ichimatsu, Jyushimatsu, and Todomatsu…
Those were the names of the brothers that you have grown accustomed to meeting.
With their bartending job aside, they were known to be rather lazy, crude, and at times, horrible to each other if one of them gets their own way. And you had experienced how each of them had tried to sabotage each other when you went on your “date”.
A small price to pay, you thought to yourself. But at least everything is out in the open.
-
You bid the brothers goodbye as you left the warm household, leaving you with your thoughts as you waited for your best friend Hinata to show up. But you didn’t exactly leave the place completely empty-handed.
Despite being hesitant, each brother handed you their limited edition snacks that they kept hidden for themselves sans Osomatsu (who instead gave you one of his old recites much to your confusion) and the rest of their phone numbers besides Todomatsu’s.
The Matsunos were…Interesting. There was no other positive way to describe it.
By the time you pulled away from your thoughts, Hinata finally showed up in her favorite old truck and you quickly got in.
If you were in an otome game, what choices would you pick?
-
“So, spill (L/N) (Y/N)! How did it go?”
“Really, Hinata? Not even a ‘hello’ or ‘Happy New Year’?”
Hinata playfully shoved you once the light turned red. “Oh c’mon Shortstack! You know that’s not the reason you called me to pick you up! You’re here to tell me juicy details, and I really need to hear it! So let’s skip the fake casualties and get into the meaty part of the story!”
Leave it to Hinata to quickly push things forward. Not like you have a choice in the matter. Might as well get into it.
So you told her everything that had happened once you had bumped into Karamatsu, all the way to meeting the rest of the sextuplets. Thankfully, Hinata made no comment as she was too focused on driving back to your apartment. By the time you finished, you were already close to home.
“So, that’s how it is, huh,” Your friend mused aloud. She let out a hum as she turned off the engine and pocketed her keys.
“You’re being surprisingly calm about this,” You stated with uncertainty.
“Well one of us has to.” Hinata eyed the bag of snacks on your person in distaste before helping you out of the truck and walking. “Still, I just don’t think these guys are worth it, (Y/N). I have spent way too many times at their house to know what they’re like and it honestly drives me nuts! Honestly, how do you manage?”
“Actually, I have no idea how I do it,” You confessed while digging for your own apartment keys “It just sort of clicks with me.”
Hinata just shakes her head. “You’re weird. But, you are a big girl who can make her own decisions, so I won’t stop you from seeing them. But if they give you trouble, let me knock some sense into them.”
For the first time, you were shocked by Hinata’s acceptance. “...You’re not gonna stop me?”
“Well duh,” She laughed. “As much as I hate them, you’re what’s really important to me. Besides, it’s already too late for me. They already have you in their clutches and they in yours. Just don’t come crying to me if you regret your choices!”
“Hinata…” You grabbed your friend and hugged her tightly. “Thank you!”
Hinata playfully groaned in annoyance and shoved you off. “Yeah, yeah, I know! Now if you excuse me, I gotta go! Take care of yourself, okay?”
-
Home sweet home.
At least it looks a lot cleaner now that Karamatsu is gone.
Taking off your coat and shoes, you sunk yourself in the comfort of your loveseat without much of a care.
Guess everything is back to normal…
A sudden sound from your cell phone interrupted your thoughts as you grabbed it from your pocket. In the message was a photo from Todomatsu of him and his brothers enjoying the fruits basket that you have given them.
Perhaps, you thought with a smile, it was okay that things are different.
